There's definitely tons more tools, and everything is nested in a way that makes it kind of hard to find stuff. Google and the actual Clip Studio documentation are your friend. Also, if you can do everything you need in Procreate, that software is totally fine. Just make sure you back up your work because if the app gets unistalled or your iPad breaks, your work is gone. Guess how I know. :(
@@MCollingsArt I've been using procreate for many years so I learned that the hard way 💀. Now I backup everything several places just to be sure. @@zpurplex Yeah, Clip is really nice for PC. I love it for my cintiq as well. I'm sorry your Procreate did the same as mine. its so heartbreaking to lose work like that.

Hey! Thanks for the input. I made this video to try to help artists customize their workspace to their own preferences, not necessarily "use this exact workspace"
Ty for the tutorial! Where did you find the button to change the palettes to a tab instead of pop up? For whatever reason I can’t find it and I hate when it’s goes away after I start drawing especially when I’m testing out brushes lol
while the palette is a pop up, drag it by the top bar to one of the edges, you should see a red bar appear. Then you can snap the palette to that side and it should remain while you draw. there's also an option to toggle on and off for the things in the menu bar also if you want to have it be either persistent or a pop up depending on the project. You tap and hold or right click on one of the icons in the menu bar and switch between the two options.
Okay found them, it was happening with more pop ups too.. they show up in my other screen at the very bottom behind my windows bar... only a small bar can be seen so it was tricky lol
Sounds like this in on a windows pc? Most of the tips in the video should still apply. Clip Studio is pretty good about keeping the workspaces consistent from PC to iPad. Try searching the clip studio forums or the documentation for "resetting windows" Sounds like they have been moved a bunch or just defaulted to weird positions.

Is there a way to lock the layers menu to its own area or am I limited to switching between tools and layers on the side bar menu? Moving to a tablet ive had issues cause I move between layers constantly and cant get it to just be locked on a dock somewhere
Hey! Yes, you can put the layers menu off on its own dock. On the tablet it comes in a stack with the layer properties, tools, etc. To Move it, make sure your palette locks are turned off (under the Window>Palette Dock) and then tap and drag the layer menu icon (looks like a stack of cheese slices) You should see a red line pop up as you move it around the screen, drag to where you want it, and release.

It’s my dream to become a digital artist. I’ve been using procreate because it’s easy for me and I’ve been scared to try Clip Studio because I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford the PRO every month and everything is so confusing for me. I really want to learn how to use Clip Studio but even with someone explaining it to me, I don’t understand. I’m so sad, I don’t know what to do. :(
Clip Studio does have a lot of tools for comic making, animation, and for digital painting that Procreate doesn't. However, its really hard to argue with a $10 one time buy and the functionality of Procreate. There are a ton of professional, working artists using Procreate exclusively. You should use the program you already have and keep working on expanding your skills first. If later on, there are tools you need, maybe look into expanding into another program like Clip. Check out the True Grit Texture Supply and Retro Supply Co brushes for procreate and see if you can find the brushes you are wanting there. At the end of the day, the best art tools are the ones you will actually use and practice with and I think Procreate is really good at making an easy to use platform.
