Speed Draw no.5 - Beetlejuice - Drawlloween Time Lapse

This speed paint came about from Drawlloween prompt "Mostly Ghostly" I love re-imagining Beetlejuice. I think he's a really cool concept and character design. But also, he tries to marry a child, so there's definitely room for improvement. The section where you speak about "Make Each Frame a Folder " is very important information, and I am so happy that you shared it. I thought it would eliminate the inability to copy and paste an image when animating, but that is still an issue. Oh well's, I am new to animation and found out that I could animate in CSP so I jumped out of Adobe and headed over to this software. So far, it's been nice, but there are a lot of quarks with the animation stuff. But I grew up with Photoshop and that is one of the biggest things I know. Again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I know it's a lot of work putting together a video like this. The fact that you have a little animated character is top-tier work.

      @@Krysy the Csp animation tools are definitely quirky. Good description. If you make the frames folders, you should be able to copy and paste individual layers. If i remember correctly, they show up in the same frame/folder and you just have to frag them to another folder.

      They are different tool windows. You can: 1. stack them on top of one another so that they have tabs to change over. 2. stack them next to each other in the side bar. 3. stack them as icons on the side bar so that you click or tap to open them as a pop up window. That's just the way the software is developed. Hope that helps.

      You have to use a very specific layer option and set up for this tool to work. If you miss a step, you get weird results. I recommend reading the tool page and documentation by the tool maker for more clarity. Thank you!

    • @MCollingsArt
      @MCollingsArt Рік тому

      Hey! Thank you so much! for the lighttable layers to show up, you have to have an animation timeline, an animation Folder, and a cel active. You also need to have the opacity set at a non zero number. There is a little icon in the top stack of options inside the light table tool that shows up as "Enable Light Table" when you mouse over it, you need to have the selected. Those are a few of the things that may help, here's also the light table documentation: www.clip-studio.com/site/gd_en/csp/userguide/csp_userguide/577_animationcell_plt/577_animationcell_plt_ope.htm I hope that resolves your issue. :)

      Sounds like this in on a windows pc? Most of the tips in the video should still apply. Clip Studio is pretty good about keeping the workspaces consistent from PC to iPad. Try searching the clip studio forums or the documentation for "resetting windows" Sounds like they have been moved a bunch or just defaulted to weird positions.

      That's going to depend on your iPad. It's not a Clip Studio Workspace question. Best bet? Google how to reduce used space and see if there's a way to cut down on storage. I also have an external drive that I use for storage of large project files.

    • @MCollingsArt
      @MCollingsArt Рік тому

      Hey! thank you so much. Its a program called HONK Vtuber. The program uses your mic to create the animation, the blinking is automated. You have to make all the artwork and load it in separately, and that's a little complicated, but I found it less complicated than trying to learn Live2D.

There are multiple tools in the sub tool group, so the icon might look like a dotted line square or a dotted circle. The documentation calls this Tool Palette the Marquee Tool. Here's a link to the doc for more info about it. www.clip-studio.com/site/gd_en/csp/userguide/csp_userguide/510_tool/510_tool_selct.htm

    how do you do inbetween. its not clear how you do it. usually in toonboom u can do inbetween using three frames what you have done is not inbetween you animate directly

    • @MCollingsArt
      @MCollingsArt Рік тому

      An inbetween is a frame between two keyframes that smooths the movement. In clip studio, you have to do all the drawing by hand. I've never used ToonBoom, but it sounds like its got a setting or tool that does this for you? Clip Studio doesn't currently have any specialized automation tools like that.
