Would like to see more interviews of DJ's who will actually show their gear and demo it's function. The foot pedal is BOSS, thanks Ean.

@@timmteller871 I think both is correct, a good track may and should breath even at peaktime, but sometimes the dj just overdoes it with the breaks. just give the people what they want. I mean its like sex, teasing is fine and everything but come on, at some point, you just have to put it in.

That is why "real" dj's mash together tracks to avoid these breaks... Music is an art, not all people posess this talent. Simply..

I'd love to see a 10 year follow up! I recently saw Loco Dice play @ Hideout Festival in Croatia and he was mind blowing. I couldn't really see what was going on in the console but I suspect he may have been playing on 3 decks and using a Pioneer RMX-1000. Would love to hear a breakdown of how he plays now!

If you look at all of Richie Hawtins video's from the last year he has MIDI mode engaged on the 2 kontrol X1's (indicated by the green light in the centre)
You may know more than me, but as far as I know some of the controls are programmed to control Ableton's input routing from the mixer to Traktor to create his unique Pitch bend effect.

Berlin is a huge center for electronic music. if you look at history of the culture, there was the chicago school and the euro school that centered in berlin. thus, a lot of the software made has been through berlin as well, such as ableton

I quite enjoy the confusion of it myself mind you (always with the laptop as far away as possible). using 2 X1's, 4 channels and now attempting to program Touch OSC to allow macro programming of the effects to take over from the little akai I have been using.

anyway in general is it true that most of edm djs are fake djs, they just press play, adjust some filters during the set(that last 1 hour màs o meno) and they define themselves as djs... edm is the ruin of electronic music. im not a very big fan of techno but i have to recognize that techno djs are way more skilled than edm ones

This video is great! Anybody know what kind of volume pedal he uses by his feet? The 'magic' LOL
Also, you think it's worth getting it? I'm definitely looking into getting a dd-7 because I've seen this guy play live and the sound he makes with that thing is incredible. From what I understood he only uses the foot pedal to adjust the volume just so that he can have an extra hand. Am I right? Can someone explain the function of the foot pedal in detail?
    Thanks in advance!
