I can honestly say this women is serious about her businesses. My daughter's best friend had her fairytale wedding at the Virginia Salamader. It was beyond my expectations. Because the hotel had to relocate the wedding on the site the bride and groom were refunded more than $30,000.00 which I believe was half the cost of the wedding. Same date, guest, dinner, and everything just moved it from one park area to another and the guest were totally unaware of the change. Wow!

I lived in an area where gentrification going on. They built a middle and high school pass this area. So now they are talking about a four lane road. This area has four black communities. Let me name them. Sunneyview, Uptheroad, lickskittle, Overtheroad and Turkeytown.😊 When I was a child when my parents be looking for us. Just name the place. They would know where to look. Tiny but big. Midway.....😮 I see it has a problem. First moved from Hwy52. now going through another area. Dividing the people and area.

Love to hear Sheila share what's important to her, unfortunately, the interviewer keeps diverting at the point in which Sheila is touching on something significant. You can tell that it is near and dear to her heart and then the interviewer throws an insignificant comment in there that almost diverts the audience away from the point Sheila is making.

@@Adinaproffitt-i4o Doesn’t sound like she was berating Middleburg because she said the town needed an infusion of cash. I read where some of the city council members who were first against her opening a business there have now been won over and appreciates the wealth and business that her resort is generating for the town. Having Johnson there is much better than having those data centers all over Loudon Country. Middleburg is a very beautiful place, and Johnson’s resort is unmatched.

Let's be truthful here. Salamander is without question the MAIN attraction in Middleburg. Yes, it's a nice town, but the financials were bad off. That's a fact. I went before and after Salamander resort. And Salamander honestly did change the town for better!

@@GarbanzoBean23 Ha. Total non-sequitur argument. I visited the town because a work colleague lived there. NOT because it was some tourist destination. I only revisit the area NOW because of Salamander. I think it's totally insane not to give credit where it's due. The fact remains, Salamander is far and wide the main attraction. It's a nice quaint town. No doubt. But I'm not exactly going there to shop at the Safeway. C'mon. Salamander's presence created a resurgence. Please at least accept that fact.

"Don't put your money into" documentaries? Maybe your intentions were in the wrong place in that mission. That's like saying you shouldn't invest in EDUCATION, because you won't get some type of 10X financial ROI. ...or maybe the wrong story tellers. ...or maybe the wrong audience. Who knows? Ken Burns seems to have done pretty well.

When BET was started, her lucrative business paid the household bills, because he wasn't making any money. Then he requested that she work at BET, which she did, for several years without pay, while he had an affair with an employee. The better shows were produced by her.
