these are the kinds of shows that should be airing on national tvs instead of toxic news and events. this gives us insights on how high fashion brands and exclusive haute couture is expensive
Even if you put the real thing and the fake thing next to each other, it is difficult to tell them apart. This kind of forensic level investigation is necessary, which only shows that the fake thing is very good and the real thing is really not worth the price. I bought all the fake things from *gtdupe* .
I now understand why the apparels are so expensive. So many people and countries involved in producing these stunning pieces of wearable art. Thank you for giving us a touch of the process.🌹
I think that would be too much interference for the designers having a crew all the time. A weekly series needs to be filmed over the whole week and that would be an everyday film crew presence and the designers having to create content on top of all their other work. It is a lot.
All these people on the team seem so devoted to the process and deep into the creative aspect of creating designs. Basically a bunch of curious and talented people.
How awesome to see Zachary Fernandez as an Associate Designer! He's come a long way since winning Project Runway Junior. I hope he continues to grow and one day have his own well established brand.
This was a treat. As a model I had the honor of wearing Ms. Kim's graduating designs from Pratt 20-plus years ago and her skill and eye were impeccable then. She could not afford to pay me but as a favor to her professor and a great friend who worked under Mr. de la Renta, Christopher Hunte, I traded the work for skirts. I still wear those pieces she designed for me to this day and receive many compliments. She was always destined to lead a great fashion house. Brava!
LOVE how feminine and actually beautiful these designs are. I fell in love with Oscar de la Renta when I was a little girl playing with my Barbie's Oscar de la Renta designs. Glad to see they have stayed true to brand and not weird or immodest like other designers these days.
I am Brazilian, living in Brazil. I loved all the construction processes, each phase, idea to arrive at a single collective decision. I wanted to be part of the team.
From the canvas painting, the florist designer, the attention to detail in pursuit of perfection produces for the talented devoted team, astonishing results. I have always adored Oscar de la Renta's creations. I think this is one of the most beautiful documentaries that I have ever watched. Thank you so much for sharing this and continued success to you all.
This is one of the strongest and most sublime Pre-Fall collections this season! So happy we got an opportunity to see the savoir faire and the amazing collaborations and relationships fosters by the house with different artisans from around the world. The work speaks for itself and show a dedication of keeping the spirit of Monsieur Oscar de la Renta, whilst moving forward introducing the design language of the design duo. Thank You for opening the curtain behind the scene to see the conceptualisation and execution of the work❤
My heart is wide open right now. I had been working in the fashion industry for 25 years before I retired. - Watching this docu reminds me why I loved it so much. It will forever be a deep part of my DNA.
Wow, I was looking at flowers and nature in botanical gardens and I thought amazing is the beauty of these petals and colors God I said this to Jesus, and I even shared it with my pastor That is a different story … so I said to God I know fashion designers must be inspired by these flowers and even some look like skirts, dresses, and fabrics like silk. I love talking to God in my heart, someone reading this here must also think I'm not just imagining this. 🤣God loves us to have conversations with Him even the challenging questions. Thank you for posting this I'm glad it was recommended, Beautiful documentary, amazing what work goes into fashion.
I hear you! I have been curious before touching a flowers petals and thinking of silk and velvet. And I've even been surprised, when touching the inside of an acorn top it feels like velvet! It made me say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for such beautiful things in nature, and to think that things in the design world happen first in nature, in regards to things like feel/touch and color.
It's really amazing how the industry has changed over the years. Just from my experience from 40 years ago, this brand went from exclusive & uptight to open minded, and worldly. It so crystal clear and wonderful to see all the craft companies or businesses from around the world working together. All with one goal under the discerning eyes of the designers house, it's no wonder that the price tags for couture are staggering. What a TEAM ❣
It is incredible that they can adjust and sew they beautiful garments in such a short turnaround. Such talented designers. What a dream to work for such people.
This is brilliant! Who knew that the creation of fabric starts on a canvas. One of the most stunning and exquisite documentaries I’ve ever seen. What amazing talent!
It is amazing how much work goes into producing a collection. Then, you have the skill it takes to create one, single, garment for the collection. Pure skill.
What a beautiful collection. I love the ode to the consistency of Sir Oscar, the appreciation for botanicals, the showcasing of each artisan's work featured in the collection, the color story is gorgeous, the chosen pieces, the fit in the style of ruching to celebrate femininity, and the tea length really showed the movement of the dress length they ultimately decided upon. Great filming of this visionary process and execution, was fabulous, we need more of these. All around this was very inspiring.
Video minutes 8:03, she is using a seaweed extract called Karageenan. This is pretty funny. The Japanese use seaweed in Sushi. We eat it all the time. It's really tasty and good for you. In 1989, someone posted a group of television commercials for ice cream. They tried to convince us that we should not purchase their competitors ice cream, which they claimed included Karageenan. They never explained why we should be afraid of Karageenan, or what it was. It took me twenty years to find out it is just seaweed. We used to play in the seaweed all the time on the beach. It is nothing to be afraid of. It is like lettuce. Karageenan is just the Irish (Gaelic) word for seaweed.
Carageenan wreaks havoc on the digestive system for people with IBS or sensitive colon issues. It makes you run to the bathroom. Most ice cream contains it now as a filler supposedly making it creamier.
"Fernando do you want to participate in this conversation?" Rude comments made by 3 of the women is not cool. Everyone except them made this fascinating to watch. I love all of the process details.
What a fascinating video. I now realize what goes into each and every item, from conception to the finished product. I have so much admiration for all of the people involved. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Every piece was exquisite and the filming expertise and editing was en pointe! After working decades as a graphic and web designer this reminded me of why I went to art college… I miss the pure creativity of the artistic process that is missing at times in commercial art.
This was a hard watch Lauren is a steam roller omg fernandos ideas are so beautiful specifically the fringe she’s seriously holding him back I loathe her vision down to the “marbleising” ugh 33:06
Agreed. Hideous. She does not represent the de la Renta style at all. Looks cheap and off the rack. It is certainly not couture. Oh! And she is a bully to her staff. Disgraceful and quite disrespectful. She will not last.
when she shot down his sweet fringe short dress around 46:29, a part of me died like that was such an iconic look the sleeves were everythinggg i could see that dress working commercially as well as collection wise. they are both co creative directors i dont mind her ideas i actually liked the marbelising if it was done properly like half the dresses with the print and marbeling she was saying were pretty after didnt hold a candle to the fringe dress they were so basic but i hope in the future fernando can also push back because he had beautiful beautiful ideas that she kept shooting down(again maybe just the way things are filmed but idk)
@darkfeather111 Don't worry! If you watch the fashion show for this collection, the A/W 2024 collection, and S/S 2025 collection, it has A LOT of fringe in it lol.
I was deeply attracted by the serious attention of all the personnel in this video, and the feeling of being fully involved in the design project was very good.
The process, the different techniques used, the people, it's really intriguing to see how all of you work and always try to improve your ideas, this is really wonderful teamwork
It’s always fascinating to see how a garment comes to life, and Oscar de la Renta perfectly captures everything I want to know about fashion- from colour to print to silhouette.
As someone who is in the fashion business, this is probably the most calming, inspiring, beautiful visual asmr thing ive watched in a while. An hour plus long and I didnt want it to end...my goodness❤
This should be turned into a series. Never thought these dresses were made by such colorful personalities.
these are the kinds of shows that should be airing on national tvs instead of toxic news and events. this gives us insights on how high fashion brands and exclusive haute couture is expensive
Even if you put the real thing and the fake thing next to each other, it is difficult to tell them apart. agree about the creativity and positivity. The news is not good for us mentally in the way in which it is presented now.
I now understand why the apparels are so expensive. So many people and countries involved in producing these stunning pieces of wearable art. Thank you for giving us a touch of the process.🌹
We need a weekly series of this! 💗💗
Absolutely
I think that would be too much interference for the designers having a crew all the time. A weekly series needs to be filmed over the whole week and that would be an everyday film crew presence and the designers having to create content on top of all their other work. It is a lot.
Yes! Agreed!!!!!
No
A highly secretive proces of months in a series with weekly episodes… Sounds so realistic!
All these people on the team seem so devoted to the process and deep into the creative aspect of creating designs. Basically a bunch of curious and talented people.
Wow, I bought this on *gtdupe* and it basically has the same features as the original
Wow...essays on internet. What are you studying really
I was shook the whole time. The amount of pre work it took for this collection is amazing
I just love the intensity and quietness of their sewing....
Beautiful work. And I should say the designers and whole team are focused without being hot tempered and losing their minds
Yes! Everyone is so calm and kind and positive.
on camera days. i really hope theyre good offline too
I loved this! Please do it for every collection! The world needs to see the process!
This is so inspiring. A lot of work. Makes one appreciate each piece more.
The prices just came up 😍
He has been my favorite designer since I was a teenager. I am now 83 and he is still my favorite.
How awesome to see Zachary Fernandez as an Associate Designer! He's come a long way since winning Project Runway Junior. I hope he continues to grow and one day have his own well established brand.

Thank you so much, I loved seeing every aspect of creating the collection. I didn’t want it to end😢 58:13
I love the little dog - so great to have in the workplace for calm and a sense of companionship ❤
LOVE how feminine and actually beautiful these designs are. I fell in love with Oscar de la Renta when I was a little girl playing with my Barbie's Oscar de la Renta designs. Glad to see they have stayed true to brand and not weird or immodest like other designers these days.
The collection was elegant, chic, and relevant.😊😊😊😊
Beautiful documentary! We need more!
Gracias!Incleible el gran trabajo!!!Belleza
This documentary was amazing.😊😊😊
We need more of this! So many talented people!
I am Brazilian, living in Brazil. I loved all the construction processes, each phase, idea to arrive at a single collective decision. I wanted to be part of the team.
Fashion BTS done right!!! Gorgeous clothing and collaborative perfection!! More please 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
How lovely to end with quiet shots of artisans at work! Wonderful documentary.
From the canvas painting, the florist designer, the attention to detail in pursuit of perfection produces for the talented devoted team, astonishing results. I have always adored Oscar de la Renta's creations. I think this is one of the most beautiful documentaries that I have ever watched. Poor Fernando, he is attacked every meeting.
Loved every second of this! The talent, skill and pure genius of these artists and craftsman is truly amazing. The collection is breathtaking. ❤️

Amazing @OscardelaRenta - I loved all the collection, though the 1920's sun dress... The Poppy full skirted sun dress just WOW

Fabulous process. Respectful of the talents involved!God’s Gift!
I love this collection. It doesn’t make a fool out of the wearers. They are standout and creative but allows the wearer to shine.
thank you UA-cam and Oscar de la Renta for this ❤

It is said to cause cancer when you eat it

What a fascinating video. I now realize what goes into each and every item, from conception to the finished product. I have so much admiration for all of the people involved. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I am so grateful I have an Oscar de la Renta bridal gown from 1987. I am glad my mom convinced me to buy it as a gift from her.❤🤍 Pure perfection !
We had Daisy for almost 3 years. A fashion salesperson from Arizona. Loved her gifts, a calm demeanor. Mostly.
Pure art....inspiring and beautiful.
Works of art, wonderful team work, I was thoroughly absorbed by the creative process from beginning to end.
Every piece was exquisite and the filming expertise and editing was en pointe! After working decades as a graphic and web designer this reminded me of why I went to art college… I miss the pure creativity of the artistic process that is missing at times in commercial art.
