This powerful conversation resonates deeply with me. As a survivor of abuse, I understand the journey of healing all too well. It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in this struggle and that there is strength in sharing our stories. I'm inspired by your courage and resilience. Thank you for reminding me that healing is possible, even in the darkest of times. I am buying the book, so it can help me in the healing process.
The nightmares, the shaking, the ptsd, the not being able to talk about it, the shame, the surreal state of having to go on because I have to work, I have to move on, I have no time for inner journeys, the fear, that I'm forbidden to look abused because I'll be looked down upon or hurt again, that I was alone in all of this and my children are alone in all of this, that I'm still angry with myself, the post stress that is still in me and my children, the unbelievable stress, the loneliness, the ability to slip back into trauma. ..these are not easy things. Where I live victim blaming is a common phenomenon. To this day, when I look up at the Statue of Liberty, I think of my divorce, of the gratitude I have for having managed to be free. Thank you for sharing your story! 🙏

Wow 🤩 😮your statement is huge! Remove “try” and “be a better husband and father“ your decisions are what you choose and YOU have control over your life UNLESS you choose to give your control away. So somehow your comment showed under this video interview. To read your intentions prompted me to acknowledge and bravo 👏🏽 your decision. Don’t give up on yourself or your family

This interview was another great opportunity to better learn and glean from Ms. Sheila Johnson. When I first read her testimony especially about the significance of the salamander, I felt the happiness of courage and strength rise up in my spirit not only for Ms. Johnson but for myself as well because I was also able to heal from divorce and regain myself, my strength and my peace.
Also, I have been blessed to celebrate a birthday weekend at the Salamander in Washington, DC and the experience was FANTASTIC. I planned to return in the future so I was excited to learn about how the hotel will have a new restaurant coming soon. I will continue to pray for Ms. Johnson’s total and divine healing in Jesus name, Amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
