I’ve been contemplating acquiring a reverb effect for my board as my amp doesn’t have an integrated reverb. I’ve watched several demos, and I think this is one that is going to make me pull the trigger. Thanks for a no-nonsense video that really shows what this pedal is capable of. Cheers!
Great playing that doesn't sound like stock music! Great demo, thanks for getting straight to the point and showing off a valuable and super versatile reverb!
Very nice job here. Best video presentation I've seen about this pedal- my only complaint with the pedal itself, is that it's so small... Hard for this old geezer to read the labels, move the switches, and or use the food switch... but I'm not sure there's much that Electro-Harmonix can do about old age... :) Wouldn't hurt to try though, I'll bet a lot of your customers are aging boomers who are retired, and getting reacquainted with their guitars... and who are also slowly going blind. :) Thanks for the video.
I bought one of these and returned it. Got a boss rv-6. Every setting seemed to have a metallic sound to it and the hall didn’t have the spacious ethereal sound I like, more like being in, well, a hall. But a small one with stone walls.
Are you happy with the boss? I have mixed feeling with the Oceans , but I have only had it for less than 2 weeks , but it can be a bit harsh and piercing. Then I Im amazed with all its options . But still curious about the RV6
Lol, the video above disproves everything you just said about Oceans 11. The Hall sounds spacious and lush. The plate and spring sound excellent. The shimmer sounds great unlike the shimmer on the RV-6, which is not good. Oceans 11 is competes well with reverb units costing much more.
That's odd because I feel the RV-6 sounds very generic. I feel the Oceans 11 is much more organic. But, to be fair, I ended up getting the Polara because I felt it was more open and spacious than the Oceans. The BOSS was like 6th on my list of reverbs. I thought the HOF2 sounded better than the RV-6.
Nice pedal but for low budget, learning or playing live where people are too wasted to hear a difference between this and a Source Audio Ventris. It is a bit harsh sounding but has a nice tone for a low price.
There's better sounding reverbs than this for the price. I love EHX but the quality of reverb in this pedal is lacking. It has tons of options packed into it, but the actual sound is meh. Better off getting a Walrus, Boss, or MXR reverb. Digitech Polaris is also good.
8:00 you hold a switch and
play one handed, bravo sir!

Bought the EHX Canyon a while back... crazy cool. This is next!
This is how a pedal review should look like. Thank you.
exemplary review - illuminates the main modes and results of minor tweaks well. very informative!

HAHAHA.....oh there's a mix nowadays, from pretty young to real old
This is a great overview, thanks!
So good I have two of them on my board.
Sebastian: What do you do with two of them, and how do they interact?
Now they have introduced oceans12
I was just thinking the same thing...walls of swelling sound...an ambiant paradise.
Two?! You greedy beggar you 🤣
@@johnwriterpoet1783 I have one on shimmer setting, feeding into the other on slow swell. Sounds like a chorus of angels
Great demonstration of all modes. Thank you.
Great overview and demonstration- Thanks!
I just bought one ☝️
Nice to play surf music.
Spot on review. I have this pedal and wanted to hear it used. I forgot it had the infinite trails. Must try that
Real beauty if this pedal is the fx level on 3/4 or full in reverse, shimmer, vibrato mode
Great pedal.
I also have the Canyon delay pedal. But I like this one

Could've tried fucking around with tone-settings.

have someone tried the supernatural digitech? i read many great opinions about it
Nice demo - great format!
Ring mod at end? Which one?
Trem setting on the Oceans 11....speed set real high.....
@@MusicBlissMalaysiaTV oh, wow sounded pretty cool - thanks!
Great playing
would it be the same for a bass?
do you have a better suggestion than this for a fender jazz bass?

Not expensive but… not very reliable. After 3 month, mode switch is dead, kick and infinite reberb do not work anymore -> after-sell service.
