- Bass and trout fishing on Lake Jocassee...
Another adventure coming at y'all! We linked up with our boy and fellow creator @jamiehegarty_ and hit the upstate of SC to the downright GORGEOUS Lake Jocassee. This place presented a unique challenge for us: miles of super deep, crystal clear water with spotted bass and smallmouth bass, the polar opposite of the shallow dingy largemouth water we're used to fishing. Although this one was definitely challenging, we did end up finding some fish, including some below waterfalls in the backs of creeks!
We'll definitely be back to do some Lake Jocassee fishing in the future. But we're about ready for some warmer weather, some shallow fish, and some EPIC content this spring.
THANKS FOR WATCHING! NEW EPISODES EVERY SUNDAY!

Jocassee Is My Gold 🤟🇺🇸
Hey. You can’t always slay them but sometimes watching the challenge that is real in bass fishing is eye opening. Most you tubers only post their amazing days but we all know that’s not reality. 🤜🤛
Gotta take the good with the bad in this game
Big fatcz I commented and said that according to title this damn near click 🪤 bait...lmaoooo...long intro plus music and allllllllll the omg 😱😳😱 and talking
Tough lake, so kudos to you for attempting it, especially during January! I used to fish it a bit years ago and my biggest bass always came at night fishing shorelines -- I think 7 pounds was my best. Probably easier to fish at night in such clear water.
This is by far, my favorite fishing lake and I have fished a lot of the big named fisheries. Each cast seems to be to a spot that is more magnificent than the last spot. It is almost impossible to find a spot to cast to that doesn't look like it should be stacked with fish. I have caught my share of real nice fish out of Jocassee and have had my fair share of skunked days. Thanks for you video. It was a good one and definitely show cased this beautiful lake. p.s. fish it in the spring!!!
what a cool lake! Great video!
We camped there a few years ago. That place is beautiful. Great video 📹👍👏
Absolutely love ur videos, souls fish Lake Murray or Clark’s Hill, underrated UA-cam channel
wanna see you "LETS GO!!!" Boys catch these bass with no radars or equipment, just your brain and a pole.
Y'all cough a fish on the second day but remember day after day always a tomorrow. Much luv keep on fishing on the best is yet to come✌👌👍💯🎣✌👌👍💯🎣✌👌👍💯🎣
Good stuff
Mighty good video. Like that toboggan too, Go Heels.
🐏
Such good content... 🤙🏾
State record trout coming out of there, too.
We’re gonna revisit 👀
Beautiful. There's big trout in that lake.
That clear deep water looks like a real challenge give muddy shallow water any day. You guys made it work and caught some. I bet sight fishing would be awesome at that lake though
Yea we were thinking about going back in May or June
May it’s on fire 🔥
Awesome video man
Such a lit video bros!!!!
Thanks dude!
Let’s go with another banger
Yessirrrr
70 feet? WOW. Awesome guys. Love ya
You da man Bennie!
😀
“Bladder feels swollen”
Bass: Naw im just eating real good. 😏
😂
my home lake is Lake wateree which is typically a big mud hole and love fishing jocassee. For some reason I do really good on that lake.
I'm jealous of this lake looks like a awesome spawn lake up by them falls. I'm from the finger lakes in ny Cayuga Lake is like 450 feet deep so it's a completely different fishing down here but I love it. Can't wait to hit this lake someday
Yea when I go up on jocasse the water is like 700 feet deep
I used to fish it a lot 20-30 years ago. Back then, the spotted bass/redeyes were a minority species and the largemouth and smallmouth were the majority. The clear water makes for difficult fishing. I've seen huge largemouth over 10 lbs. suspended over a laydowns. Generally speaking if you can see them, you ain't catching them. The scenery is nice but I have to say I've been skunked on Jocassee a lot more than I've had good days. I've caught over 100 bass in a day at Jocassee fishing with floating worms in early May. I've caught some nice largemouth and smallmouth. I've had a 7-8 lb. smallmouth shake off. During the Spring you can go up the Toxaway River arm to the North Carolina line and catch several species that congregate there during the spawn. The water is there is often stained and relatively shallow. Warning: There is no reciprocating license agreement between NC and SC, so you have to have a license if you want to fish the 100 acres of Jocassee inside NC. There's some good spawning cover in NC but you can catch plenty fishing the SC side. A buoy marks the border.
@@southernnathaniel true! I think it actually is 800 ft at its deepest. It's a man-made lake by filling in a valley town in the mountains.
I keep waiting for a flw or bassmaster tournament on joecasse. People think it's to small but fish are usually on the banks so there's room for loads of boats. There's a few major humps off t GG e banks that hold schools but bank bangers always have fish to catch year round there. Some of the biggest bass I've caught came from that lake
Yeah lakes like these can be a challenge. Electronics play a huge part in finding fish especially during winter months!
Looks like fun. We fish in Lake Moultrie we haven't had the chance to go yet. Id love to go for my 18th birthday its around a 4 hour drive from our place.
Sick video y'all! Definitely need to get revenge on ole Jocassee and also actually fish together on some of the Raleigh lakes! Y'all killed it! #freedirtymike
We’ll get our revenge for sure. But it’s pretty good to be back where “deep” is 15ft 🤣
Ahah yessir!
"Let's go!!!" yup thats enough of this channel
Lets go!
Yup put em back in there for me when I make that trip from York county ....cuz I catch to eat 🚫 🧢...... speaking of cap I like that NC skully my boi'

Slabs over and out my dude 😎
Man I never got to fish Jocassee but I've been there a few times... Love fishing Hartwell... But home lake is Marion down in the low country of SC...
i was wrong i said 57 foot on insta 🤣😂love the vid like always keep up the great work🔥
Thanks brotha 🤙🏻
Lol lucky for me I can go there cause I live 15 miles from jocasse in northern pickens
Great video! Gonna head up from Clayton GA tomorrow. Any camping spots? Thanks
How surprising was it to find all those trout up in the shallows? What is the primary bait in that lake and did you find any?
Let’s go 70ft jeeez🤜🏻🤜🏻
Yea no thanks lol
@@SlabDynasty 🤣
Dudes! 4 pound test!! or smaller or youll never catch a Jocassee trout! Period! Unless the fish has Dimentia! And? when you can see them? they can see you! Even trolling a Sutton spoon 80 feet down? I use a four pound test leader!
It was definitely new to us, we will be going back soon
I've got a 4dr jeep jk like that and was wondering how to towing the bass boat is. Also if you regeared it?
I’m not sure, that’s our buddy Jamie’s. Go check out the channel “Jamie Hegarty” and ask him on one of his vids
Last time I was there was this past labor day. Beautiful lake. Check out the scuba diving videos on UA-cam. Shows cemetery and lodge on the bottom of the lake.
Wow that’s crazy!
😴😴😴 watched for 9mins and 8secs str8..... blah blah blah getting excited no fish and already half way through video.... according to title and the long intro this damn near click bait 🪤 in simplest terms on rest of video...no thanks that'll be another 9mins of my life/time I can't get back by watching ...now u back at home on 🛋️ couch ...u could've did some extra editing and take outs on this one frfr
