This track is just nuts...I know there's a lot of Opeth songs that are like 4 songs in one, but this is like 10 songs in one😂
This song is god tier prog. Saw them play this live at Wembley Arena and I’ll never forget it
6:05 is the moment every person recommending the song (myself included) was waiting for :D
I played this song at work on my very loud CD player. One of the other guys heard the song and stood in front of my player for the whole song. I went to check on him (he wasn't a Metal guy) and the look on his face was hilarious. I could tell he was absolutely mystified. He just couldn't wrap his head around it. He asked me why I played that song. I told him he looked way too stable for his own good. He didn't get that either.
that right there killed me🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Funeral Portrait and Godhead’s Lament.
Opeth - Moonlapse Vertigo !!!
I watch reactors like Charismatic Voice and Key of Geebz for their technical analysis. I watch you guys because you just inject so much fun and excitement into songs I know and love. I was grinning and laughing along with you guys the whole video. Love it.
Same here man
I guess that's what I seek for as well, the emphasis allows me to feel a bit like my first time listening
You should do a live video of Opeth. Why not When from The roundhouse tapes.
exactly!
Yes! my favorite song by them
Or from Lamentations !
perfect
They sound bad there. Lamentations is way better
The Night and the silent water at the Roundhouse Tapes 🔥
The funeral portrait!!!
Opeth is the Harvard of metal.
Yes back to Opeth
05:26 That smile you both get when the distortion guitar comes in
Please please please do When Live from Roundhouse Tapes, it's the best version please please please
Please! Please! Please!
Yes yes yes!
Or “The Night and the silent water” there ! Please!
This and Heir Apparent are probably the heaviest Axe's performances and I've heard his work with other bands
i was waiting in line to get into the venue a few days before watershed was released. from the outside i could here martin axenrot (i assume) practicing heir apparent over and over. at the time i didn't know what the song was but when they played it live i recognized it immediately as what i had heard from outside. it was the only song from watershed they played at that show, but the show was AMAZING! i was right in front of (then new to the band) fredrik akesson and after the show he reached down and handed me a pick and the guy a couple people down a pick before he tossed the rest of his picks into the crowd. it was pretty cool, even though it was a pick he had left over from his time in arch enemy.
Bloodbath
This whole album is my fav! I love all their stuff, but this album from start to finish is always worth listening through
You could say that about most their albums lol
Brilliant Opeth reaction again guys... your wtf faces were a picture... nobody does a listening experience like the mighty Opeth... so many more tracks to listen to yet...... keep up the good work!!!
Love the content...OPETH is just the deepest rabbithole one can get in. But please stay there so we can get even more cool reactions from you guys. 🙏. This song is from the Watershed album which is just one absolutely awesome album. Could it be an idea you guys did a whole album reaction on that ? The way Hex Omega finished this album is just......perfect!😉
Burden, Face of Melinda, A Fair Judgement, Windowpane, To Bid You a Farewell, Hope Leaves, To Rid the Disease... Please know the other side of Opeth. These songs are perfect in each way you must consider listening and reacting to these gems.
Opeth - When.
This was the first Opeth song I ever listened to, it was playing on the radio in GTA4 as I was driving around the city, blew my mind. Been a fan ever since.
Your reactions did NOT disappoint....this song is overwhelming. I love the humming and then BAM, off to the races. I think the drummers name is Martin Axenrot? He is truly incredible and seems capable of amazing speed and precision, but also very melodic drumming. Some day you should react to a Bloodbath video live from Wacken so you can see how crazy he and Mikael can get.
5:26 that's smile when that riff hit lmao
A song that grew on me is “by the pain I see in others” off of deliverance
Should react to Opeth's black rose immortal. A masterpiece and their longest song
Yes
No spoils please
You guys are the BEST. I love your reactions, rediscovering songs and just laughing with you guys at how good they are
At last my Top Favourite. From arguably their best album. Sometimes I like Still Life more, sometimes My Arms Your Hearse, but OMG they are the best that ever happened to me, musically spoken.
One of your best reactions and I don't know how I could skip it!
Thanks for reacting to Opeth again. I just wanted to say I've been waiting and commenting for "Burden" since Sep 2020...haha please do it soon :(
Greetings from Brazil, guys! You both are f***** awesome
The funeral portait from blackwater park ...killer song !!
One of the best solo it's amazing. Good song yeah 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Opeth - Bleak (live in royal albert hall) !!!!!
This is my favourite song from Opeth! They are so fuc*&%£ good and talented!
This song is so chaotic just like I remembered it to be ! I recommend Beyond creation - earthborn evolution!
Axe is so underated as a drummer, that man is a machine!
Great video as usual !
For the next time, I have a proposal :
We could choose between "When", "Godhead's Lament", "Moonlapse Vertigo", "Beneath the Mire", and "Burden" ?
+1 for Godheads Lament and Moonlapse Vertigo
The "Overheard us talking" part gets me every time! It's too awesome that I keep looping back.
Its funny that you mention Zeppelin. Page was all about having elements of light and shade in his songs and Opeth took that concept to a whole new level. My two favorite bands
This has been my favourite song ever since i heard it the first time. I cant get enough of it. I love the controlled chaos and the absolute musicianship. Epic stuff this.
Remember the first time i heard this song when this album came out. My reactions was exactly the same as you guys.
"This is Ridiculous!"
You guys are killing it. Brilliant reactions to great music.
finally! one of my favourite opeth songs...thank u, guys! great reaction
When- live at the rounhouse tapes pleeeaaassseeeeeeee
this is one of my favorite songs by Opeth.....just twists and turns everywhere.....little growling, metal, and a little jazz just to keep you on your toes.
Great reaction guys, Can't wait for "When" as it is one of my favorites!
Yay my recommandation made it!
Was sure you're gonna like it. Love your stuff man!
I cannot make justice to express in words what i feel when i listen to this song is so hauntingly beautiful. As always, it is so awesome to enjoy this with you guys
It gave me joy to see you both reacting to this song for the first time. It’s such an epic song.
Oh man, I always enjoy watching you guys freak out, but it's even better when I don't know the music too. I think I've heard every Opeth song you have done so far until this one and it was SICK.
You can really hear that this was right in between their heavy, metal style stuff and the prog rock stuff they do on the next albums. It's like, perfectly balanced between those two styles. Pretty cool sound.
I think Ghost Reveries does that even better tho. The change in their sound definitely started to be incorporated with Ghost Reveries and then this album is like the next step towards it and then Heritage came.
The Apostle in Triumph, pls :)
This is my F'ing Jam. A+++
Also, I hope you're seeing Opeth on their US tour this year! You have to check out the opening band - Zeal & Ardor. try "Ship on Fire" is probably a good place to start
Benighted. Windowpane (live @ Shepherd's Bush). Harvest. A Fair Judgment.
Any of these please next. Opeth are so varied in their sound!
Your reactions to Opeth are my favorites. :)
I love this on so many levels💖
you guys are AMAZING!! wtf how have i not found this channel before! :
everybody gangsta till the keyboard solo comes in
This made my day! 😁
Very smooth... I fall from the chair as I was laughing... One of the Opeth all time favourites!
You guys are true metalheads now!!
one of my fav Opeth songs !!
this entire album is a bit underrated i've always felt like!
🔥🔥❤Opeth ❤🔥🔥
Amazing amazing 🤩
This is my new fav reaction channel by far! I love the energy and both of u bring something unique to the reaction!
Check out The Faceless Shapeshifter pt 1-2 for some absolutely insane music!
Missed you guys for 3 weeks :( so glad y’all are back 🤗 really hope you revisit The Ocean! Pleistocene (Music Video) or Devonian: Nascent 🙏🏻🙏🏻 although there is soo so much more from them.
Que buenas reacciones!!!
Gracias! Se lo agradecemos! 🤘
this really does bridge all their sounds in one song... it is nuts... it shows they know how to play in so many genres... (really interesting you mentioned led zeppelin there... I am not sure I hear that but that shows how genre bending this is)
For something a little different, but still heavy and weird, please check The Chariot and the live studio video they made for their song "David De La Hoz". Excellent song, a wonderful video and a lot to react to. Loved this Opeth reaction btw, love going back and experience these with you guys, as if for the first time, too.
Face of Melinda, beneath the mire, wreath, when, deliverance live Shepherd Empire Bush, funeral portrait, nectar, by the pain i see un others, windowpane, amen corner, a fair judgment, godheads lament, devils orchard, and so many others.... Please still doing more opeth reactions.....
This is the physics of music 👌
You guys should check out The Devil's orchard from their Garden of the titans show. It sounds soooo good for a live performance.
Nice nice nice reaction !
Moonlapse Vertigo from the album "Still Life" if you want another insane prog rollercoaster!
The live version is this (at Royal Albert Hall) is so amazing!!!!! Please check it out!
Opeth.
Music.
Genius.
We missed you guys! Opeth is back 🖖✌️
Fuckin finally i almost stopped hoping
You guys need to listen to the newest Vildhjarta album. It's like Meshuggah but more insane, dark and beautiful
I hope you are going to see them live as they are touring the USA 🇺🇸 with Mastodon 🖖
They’re on tour next month, hope you get yourselves to the show!
STOKED! Love your Opeth reactions!
Moon above sun below ! Natural next step
"wHEN" should be next... or "PORCELAIN HEART"
last album i heard from them
Please Vektor- Recharging the void
Also please do the new Be'lakor- foothold
they should definitely do some Be'lakor, tomorrow they release their new album.
personally I would go with, smoke of many fires or ember's arc
Blackrose Immortal
Burden
A fair judgement
Lovelorn Crime
I have one suggestion from a band you might have heard before. It's hard to describe them, maybe "rock with occasional deep thoughts". Anyway, it's Fastway, "We Become One" from 1983. I just heard two of them died and re-looked them up. The video is just a pic of their album, a black and white checkerboard. Lots of good songs on it, very different at the time
Next reaction should be to “In the Mist She Was Standing” by Opeth or a live performance from the roundhouse tapes
7.44min... Thats what i call a orgasmic laugh 😂
Knocked loose EP is waiting for you
Love all era's of opeth, try some of the later stuff like the river or sorceress.
6:04 yes, I made that face too the first time I heard this piece 😌
Cattle Decapitation - The Unerasable Past
B-B-B-B-B-Burdeeeeeeen! =)))
Respect😍😁🌈
Face of Melinda next please 🙏
I wished any UA-camr reacted to the whole Opeth "Watershed"
To bid you farewell.
To bid you farewell.
To bid you farewell.
Why don't you do it?
Deliverance...the title track off of deliverance
