Thanks for the video, I just saved myself close to $500 for repair, cause repair shop quoted me a price for a whole board and labor, I rolled up my sleeves and made it happen, thanks for the walk through 👌🏾
Were you able to get these faders from InstrumentalParts? They tell me there's a current backorder, and I'm looking for ones that would work from elsewhere.
@@djphunknasty They try to sell you the whole board. The ones in the link are listed as Numark but rockcee says they will fit since it's the same company.
Hey my brother the like you put up for the Rane one repair deck channel fader. the picture it shows is that one i oder cause i'm going to roll up my shirt sleeve to fix my Rane One channel faders
@DJ Rock are you able to give an advise on an issue I have with my Rane One if you don't mind? The LP/HP Knob remains activated despite the knob positioned back to the 12 o clock position
Great tutorial🎉 But my God that is like going back in the day and disassembling a dj mixer ( Gemini, Numark, Radio Shack, Gli ,etc. ) to loosen up the faders or resolder to get a decent cut-in time ( circa 1982- 1993 )
im good right up until the sodder part. i wonder can i buy that entire board with the faders already attached. My left pitch fader does volume and the ch fader does nothing. my right ch fader gets louder and lower whenever you touch it.
Do you have the Value, specs on the fader itself? I don't want to go through all this work just to put in the same fader that will beeak in future. I need the info to buy a much better fader so that I know there will be NO furture issues. Example if there is a defect with the tire that blew while driving... You and I would not put the same tire on.
Hey I have a serious inquiry about getting my my Rane one’s effects switch fixed. It popped offed and I would love to get it taken care of before this gig I have. What’s your shop name?
I need to do some troubleshooting. I have an intermittent problem with muddy sound. Not sure if it’s the channel faders, POT sensitivity, output signals? How do you know it is the fader?

@@joekoolz377 it's poorly constructed and engineered. All the EQ knobs are not durable at all. 1 year in and I have problems with master gain, BOTH channel gains, the low EQ on the right side. Yo, that link for the channel fader says its for NUMARK. When I asked instrumental parts for a part number, they sent me a link for the whole board with channel faders
Hi, I'm from Brazil and I can't find the parts here. Could you help me? I need 8 -Rane - 18572-R and 4 -Rane - 18573-R for exchange. Apart from the tax here in my country, which is absurd. Thanks
When my Rane One comes back from the shop Im selling it and get a pioneer, I wanted the Rane performer but these issues made up my mind for sure, im done with Rane!
Hi my is Norris I have a Rane One making weird sound coming from my speaker I replaced all my and I am still getting that sound.can I reach you by email.
For a £1500 vinyl-based controller, having soldered channel faders like this is not a great design decision. I feel Rane could have put separate channel faders into the One quite easily - then the fader replacement would have been as simple as replacing the crossfader. I guess overall pricing was a factor.
I've just researched the rane one uses cheap numark channel fader which are on the mixtrack and N4, hope rane realises this. no wonder pioneer are the leaders in DJ hardware learn a less in music(RANE). Use good parts maybe you have a decent unit.
Hey man, we just took a Rane apart to replace the Cue button as its not always working, we replaced it with a plastic button but it did not fix the issue It looks like it could be the electronic switch on the board, do you know if this is a common issue with a common solution to fix the cut button?
I can't believe #1 that Rane put these faulty A$$ faders in this expensive unit, #2 They also put a faulty ASS Paddle Lens that breaks just as fast, #3 that you have to completely disassemble the WHOLE unit to switch out a fader. It's just NOT ACCEPTABLE at all! Shame on you RANE!!!!! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
Problem with this crap design is people keep buying it. Its the cycle. People buy garbage, manufacturers make garbage. They don't care! You buy it! Welcome to the 21st century! I work in the repair industry and this product is expensive, candy coated, crap but it sure sounds good, it looks good, and its from Rane so it must be good, right? RIGHT!? And about parts, is, don't blame repair techs when they can't find parts then charge you a pile because they had to buy entire boards. Rane, Pioneer, etc, do NOT make it easy to find a part because sometimes they just aren't listed, but we're thankful that some of you do the search for us and find out a Numark part works on Rane. I'm not taking that risk. if im wrong, guess who's paying? You... in case you didn't know. You are. And I'm not blaming you at all for being mad at that... its not my fault! But, I am not wasting my time on crap - which, unfortunately, is 98% of this stuff. So, budget twice what you pay for maintenance and like it. You'll have no choice.
agreed. never use a drill for these products. molded plastic with plastite screws means you beak a standoff or strip one in .06 seconds if you have the slightest hickup and you just ruined a thing. Get a good phillips set with a #1 and #2.
This is great, but looks like a small nightmare to perform correctly without breaking anything or losing any screws or parts. The part where you suggest to video yourself is a great tip. May I ask what brand/model your desoldering gun is?
GOD BLESS!!!!! ALL OF THIS FOR A CHANNEL FADER??? RANE NEEDS TO RETHINK THIS DESIGN. PRAYING I NEVER HAVE TO HAVE THIS DONE.
Thank you for your great instruction. Couldnt have done it without you!
Thanks for sharing the knowledge my brother. Love to see more maintenance vids for the Rane One
