Your cumulus blouse is stunning! You are 100% correct about not reading stitches with boucle. I started a sweater in boucle for a friend last winter but I couldn’t get past to collar to start the German short rows 😅. But I may try again with something simpler bc boucle all day! 😂 It really is such a shame that wool and folk was so unsafe. I’ve never been and I’m glad I skipped it this year. I would have been totally overwhelmed. I’ll just stick to Flock! 😉 Speaking of Flock, I bought that same Wooldreamers Saona at Flock! I’m looking forward to working with it also! Glad you had a good time overall! Thanks for sharing your travels and projects!
@@emweecurt the ladies who sold me the Saona were both wearing JessieMaed patterns, one of which was the Outline Tank so I might give that a try. But no confirmed plans yet!
Love hearing about your spinning and fiber purchases! I have been knitting for 20+ years, dying for 5ish years, and am now SUPER interested in learning to spin! I've purchased some "beginner" fiber from a recent festival I was at. I think I'm going to start with an e-spinner. Any advice for getting started with spinning?! Keep up the great content! Love watching!! Safe travels:)
Ahhh this is so exciting! I took a beginning spinning class and I think that helped a ton but I know there are great resources on youtube as well, I'm just not super familiar with them! I think an espinner is a great place to start and I hope you love it! It takes a minute to get it but once you do it's so much fun.
As somebody who is currently working on a bottom up raglan, the commentary of the unwieldiness of the sweater once the sleeves are attached is so real. It gets better once you get more decreases done, but it is still just so much sweater to work with.
I’m so sad and disappointed for all the vendors and attendees at Wool and Folk. I know from speaking to my friend Eva who was there with the Scottish Yarn Festival that it was the polar opposite of what it should have been. One tip that I picked up from a Hazel Tindall video was to gather up and tie a length of spare yarn around the fabric that you’ve already knitted when it becomes unwieldy. Having done this I can vouch for it being a really simple but effective technique. I hope that you a fantastic time in South America 🦙
I love your fiber haul ❤❤❤
Love your Cinnabar spin - happy travels to SA
Loving the chaos, and the dog interruptions🥰😂👌🐶 the handspun is stunning!🤩 thanks for a great episode!
