My father owned many Alfa models during 1970-1990 period, somehow he always came back to them despite problems, rust, depreciation. The GTV's were the nicest he had.
1.3 ti: best car ever. If one was clever enough to acquire one that was painted 'Burnt Umber', one found that it was a good match for red oxide primer - meaning that one could easily hide rust patches for about £2.75 (from Halfords). Of course, matt-finish paint jobs weren't the rage they are nowadays, but one could feasibly claim to have been far ahead of one's time.
@@Lee-xo9fv I had a mini 1000, my first marriage only lasted 3 years. 2nd time around I had a Porsche, still going strong 30 years alter! A message there somewhere LOL.
Alfa Romeo Alfasud Ti cant remember if they came to Australia, not bad looking car but everyone who remembers AR cars they were rust buckets. I enjoy vid.
Has quite a few Alfas. Best was a later 1.2 TI.Hatch.
Perfect car apart from the odd 1st to 2nd gear change, ended up in 3rd half the time.

I believe they did though only for a short time.
The biggest puzzler for me is that they made them in South Africa.
