I know this wasn't intended to fool people but it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize this was a game, but glad I'm not the only one hahah
This is a perfect example of "don't ignore your gut instinct." Like many here, I was fooled into thinking this was real for a while. But, there were numerous things that tugged at my subconscious and told me something was not right. The lack of gloves The front floorboard being spacious The front window having posts The top of the screen showing bookshelf and blinds The sound. The sound inside this car would be deafening. Many other things just made me think something was fishy. All of this aside, I was completely fooled for half of the lap. Completely. Amazing job, I'm jealous of your gaming setup. Nice video.
if you ignore the fact that there is a keyboard on the side, some books on the shelf and that the monitors and cables are visible yeah you kinda get fooled for a while.
I'm so buying everything needed to have this in my house. I just bought a 2017 M3 comp with Dinan S1 upgrade but I still can't get enough. Having this to play at night would give me all day driving fun.
Very nice homebuilt cockpit, very immersive. Clever, as was said very few clues, see the room above the cockpit, notes inside the car never moved, No raring gloves, Paddles shifters available, but not use. All in all a AAA+++ for effort and effect.
Doesn't know shit, and top of that doesn't know there are no paddleshifters and mid-car seat placement in a 917, go back and study your race cars further kid
This is great, took didn't read the description, took me about a minute to realise this is a video game. Haha. I play Project Cars and LOVE the Nurburgring.
Thanks for the up. This is Porsche! I love 917K. It is a big fan from seeing the movie "Le Mans of Glory". The engine sound of Porsche is cool with bass. Ferrari was treble. I also want to drive! ! !
The only thing missing from this virtual masterpiece is the simulated trackside daylight and tree shadows that flash by on the bonnet and car fenders inside the car too.
what finally tipped me off was (at approx 2:50) when he was coming around a bend and the spectators had a grainy look to them, sort like it was a game...
Just really beautiful to watch... this car goes up there with the Legends like the Toyota GT1 and GT40.... in my mind on one of the best circuits that you can play with them
Wonder does that Steering wheel have I think it's called "Force Feedback" cause if not he's doing pretty well Faking the way the wheel keeps jerking around... Pretty cool set-up!
Awesome car driving one in a race for long periods of time and concentration on the track,, noise heat ,, makes modern cars look tame,,, from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated thank you ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
"There is no setting on the throttle between idle and full throttle, the porsche engineers said " maximum speed or idle, rod stewart bought one for the street, he lost his license soon after )))
Damn! Had me fooled pretty good until I saw the blinds and shelf! Nice driving Hans but put on some racing gloves and fix the wiring under your dash (ha ha).
Trouble with this stuff, is that while it's cool technology, people are fooled by it. If you'd never seen the real deal you wouldn't be any the wiser...the implications are ominous
Seriously, wtf are you on about? Do you always speak in non sequiturs, or only in YT comments? Who the hell is fooled by a video game? If you were fooled, what are the "ominous" implications?
This will be long! OMG, I had no idea Porsche built ground attack air craft! A 917 ketching air,😲😮, move over A-10/Su-25!!!! No gloves, the wind screen is a pair of goggles on a helmet! 917! Many thanx 👍 👍😉 🦊, be safe. Phenomenal!
Nurburing..y sin guantes con ése monstruo veloz, sólo unas vueltas antes de que se ampollen las manos.. Pedro Rodríguez corría para Porche en uno igual..Salud2
Thank you very much for the ride. I LOVED IT! The graphics are incredible! Can you tell me just how accurate this version of the Nordschleife really is? By that, I mean, could a man learn the course in preparation for actually travellling to Germany to drive the real thing and expect to be fully prepared?
+WoodenYouKnowIt hello man tks for watching. This and iracing version are laser scanned, so you could say they are very accurate. So yes these sims could help you learn the track. If you are going, practice until you memorize all curves, bumps and elevation changes and have fun at the ring!
It will be a while before I can get set up for something like this as I have SO many other things on my plate right now. But I've already watched so many videos of the "ring that I've got many parts of it already memorized. And let me say that your approach to Adenauer Forst was spot on. Most people do not know the importance of diving deep into that corner at 1:46 in order to get set up for AF correctly. Way to go!
Where does the shaking of the headcam come from? Is it from the wheel or do you have some sort of vibration feedback in the seat? It creates great immersion this way, i like it!
Was half way through realised hey paddle shifts and rev limiter led's 1970s race cars didn't have these then as another poster said I saw the book shelves - great setup though
The best visual simulation that I have seen. And with the best car! Great man!
I know this wasn't intended to fool people but it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize this was a game, but glad I'm not the only one hahah
RoadHeads j
Took me a minute 54! Amazing world we live i!
The paddle shifters were a dead giveaway, but still entertaining.
@@tomscott4438 thinking why the paddles? Doh.
Think I was a minute in before i relised the floor of the "car". That and who would be driving that car with no gloves
That looks like NVIDIA's surround projection allowing for that realistic viewing angle. Looks awesome.
This is a perfect example of "don't ignore your gut instinct."

Me too, half the lap. Actually until I scrolled down to the comments!
if you ignore the fact that there is a keyboard on the side, some books on the shelf and that the monitors and cables are visible
yeah you kinda get fooled for a while.
> The sound. The sound inside this car would be deafening.
You do realise that microphones can be adjusted?
Also the crowd at 2:49 on the upper left of the inset picture.
Thanks for the ride. Outstanding driving. Gets my motor running.
Bloody hell, I thought that was real for a while until I looked a bit closer... pretty amazing set-up, got me in...
Holy shit your set up is beautiful
it's good to have some reading material with you while you tour the nordschleife
Incredible I love the 917. The driving is fearless.
I'm 57, only when my son (19) showed me some details, I realized I was looking at a Game. Very nice game though!
Awesome! Great video!
I watched this for a full minute before realising. Doh!
Me too it was the crowd not moving that made me look closer!!
Brilliant!
I'm so buying everything needed to have this in my house. I just bought a 2017 M3 comp with Dinan S1 upgrade but I still can't get enough. Having this to play at night would give me all day driving fun.
LMAO, had me fooled for a bit until I realized what I was seeing above the windscreen was part of a room. Sweet setup!!!

That's one hell of a set up you got there.
Impressive set up
Wow, that's awesome
I need this in my life.
Wow.. what an awesome set up
AMAZING rig Man.
Finally someone knows how to set fov on a sim. Lol immediately fools everyone into thinking its real.
How do I like twice?

@@antonsmith7235 the paddle shifters come with the wheel bruh

This is a serious simulated drive....respect (y)
OH HELL YEAH! One of the most BAD-ASS videos out there!
Great sounding engine !
Im the only stupid who thought it was real?
Nah you don't 😁
No driving gloves, diP SHIT!
Took a few moments to catch the room in the background ( upper left and right corners of the screen ).
a real pilot wears Nomex Handshoe !!
bookshelf in upper right, also watch cabin vs front of car jitter disproportionaly
The only thing missing from this virtual masterpiece is the simulated trackside daylight and tree shadows that flash by on the bonnet and car fenders inside the car too.
LOL this is a 917J NOT a 917K. The 917K had the bookshelves on the left.
😁

WOW, IT LOOKS AMAZINGLY EASY TO DRIVE AT HIGH SPEEDS. GREAT ENGINEERING
at first i thought it was a REAL lap around the Nordschleife until i was the screen in the corner.
amazing rig!
The perfect photography and soft-looking hands gave it away...
if he would have been wearing gloves, it could have fooled me.
No gloves is what made me stop and look.
lol
m00n161 and paddle shifters . Not on this old car.
what finally tipped me off was (at approx 2:50) when he was coming around a bend and the spectators had a grainy look to them, sort like it was a game...
I noticed the sounds is also not realistic, but i was fooled once
That beautiful sound makes my no no parts tingle
Your rig and the graphics from Assetto Corsa are so impressive they are hard to separate from reality.
great footage
Looks like quite a handful!
AMAZING it looks so easy to drive. The drive looks like slow motion compared to some of the new modern cars.
Just really beautiful to watch... this car goes up there with the Legends like the Toyota GT1 and GT40.... in my mind on one of the best circuits that you can play with them
the only legend is the 917
As whe can't ever drive a real 917 in real life, this is how close it could get, well done assetto corsa
Incredible graphics! If it were not for the bare hands on the steering wheel; I would have said it was real deal. Very cool.
Nice set up dude. It took me nearly two minutes before I realized it was a game, even though Assetto Corsa was in the title.
That looks fun!!!!!!
looks so real!
fantastic car
Lol, At first I was really impressed with how awesome the hand animations looked in Assetto Corsa.

I like the shelf above with books in a 917 !!!
Very cool, I wonder what a set up like that cost?
I wonder if it gets real feedback through the wheel, it looks like it?
would love to try a simulator like this one day! The naked hands on the steering wheel was a give away, though: - )
Impressive car! ;)
Very good.
It is marvelous ...

Hold on
..Jesus Christ....THATS A SIMILATION?..ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!

Exact at first i thought why is he not wearing gloves. Later i noticed the simulator. Great vid

I was like since when does the 917 have paddle shifters and wait he's using a stick shift? Cool! I need one setup like this!
as a GPL addict with a homebuilt cockpit it was obvious to me... but... still great stuff
Had me fooled ! So how fast were you going on the straight
I love this race car. It comes with an Ikea book rack
Nice head cam.

Us motorcycle racers call that "skimming" you don't get any more into the groove/zone than this!!!

To the right, atop the dash, is a postage-stamp-sized display that keeps changing colors as driving conditions change. What is it?
