I chose it and I think it was a bit underrated. 50m fletching I got almost 20m from equil. Herblore with cleaning herbs even though I had the desert became amazing xp/hr like you said ~5-8m/hr. Calcified rocks for mining became a decent activity as well. Underwater agility turning in 1 tear at a time was also a big boost.
Golden God is only good for the people who plan to play hard for a week or two. Equilibrium is by far the better option for people who plan to enjoy Leagues for the long-run
@@wakabala strongly disagree. Equi is for people who want to play high apm to get a marginal xp increase. GG is still helping me and I'm almost maxed. Infinite cash is not overrated.
@@maodog4620 Couldn’t agree more. GG haters jumped on a bandwagon without much thought. It stills serves me really well 4 weeks in and I’m just shy of maxing. 500m xp with Mithril cup.
Dude there's so many posts on the subreddit that are some version of "Is there a good way to train ------ skill with these regions" and almost always my answer is "yes but only if you have EQ" I think the best part is that you don't have to worry about "solving" all of the skills with your relics. With the exception of RC without banker's note, they all feel much better.
Completely agree. I picked EQ on my first account and it was the gift that kept giving. Unlocked some good training methods and sped up some of the worst grinds. After I hit dragon, I started a new account and picked GG instead in that tier. It’s great for early points, but one day after getting it, it stopped affecting how I played. EQ definitely felt like the more fun relic choice despite all the memes about it being boring.
Im still grateful i went reloaded. Animal wrangler + Dodgy deals + friendly Forester has been a VERY fun, and very DOABLE combo. Magic was solved from using magic until tier 5 range, Prayer is solved from having varlamore.. bankers note + slayer master is so OP. So I basically have unlimited potions, easy ways to max hunter, slayer, prayer, range, mage, crafting is solved with dodgy deals, money is solved with alchs from slayer. Now im just chilling.
I think it’s good for going for max or training some of the bad skills. But for me who doesn’t care about points and just wants to do what they want, I was better off choosing the reloaded with Herbs+Thieving, and I don’t regret that decision at all. But I think equilibrium is great for people who want to max
Imo, equilibrium SHOULD always drop bonus xp to your lowest skill on every xp drop, in addition to the bonus xp added to your current xp drop. I still would not get equilibrium just because I don't see it as fun, new gameplay but I would see how it could be very powerful if used correctly
Honestly, I love how well this either makes low-cost or low-intensity EXP methods scale much farther than expected, or makes it slightly (or VERY much) easier to bypass the early levels to get to the training methods you actually want to use for every single skill. It might not be buffed by Leagues XP multipliers, but that only devalues it in the later levels, IMO. Varlamore has got to be one of my favorite regions to proc Equilibrium at for this. Mixology, as you mentioned, is crazy Herblore value, but I also really like all the little drops we get in Neypotzli (Moons of Peril) as well. Thieving in Fortis is a nice little bonus too. I would also consider Production Master a viable combo with EQ to really feel just how fast rates can get. For instance, when I combo'd with Banker's Note, I spammed a stupid amount of Bronze Bars over at the anvil & shop near Tai Bwo Wannai into Bronze Bolts very quickly. Might not be as fast as Broad Bolts, but it's most certainly less expensive and more accessible if you're saving cash for something else and just need a quick Smithing or Fletching XP injection to snatch a level or two.
i found that using equilibrium and doing barbarian fishing is a really good way to level agility (and i guess strength). normally you get like 10 agility xp per fish but with equilibrium you could be getting like 200-500 depending on your total level. it enables a super afk way to train agility which doesnt really have any afk methods. it was really nice
As someone who took golden god on his first account and then experimented with equilibrium on his second, I can say from personal experience golden god in my opinion is by far the strongest of the 3 (bearing in mind i took both tirranwn and fremmenik so i had a stonemason and needed 250m to buy a crystal crown) I have had a lot of fun with equilibrium and think it ranks second in the tier 4 relics, I can definitely say i haven't regretted taking golden god at any point but there are points i have regretted taking equilibrium. I still think reloaded is the bait skill of tier 4. You really don't need it.
I'd even agree with that, for like 95% of players Golden God will translate to more points faster. I just don't see where that's necessarily "fun", it's just a massive influx of points for relatively little investment.
great video! I'm planning out a second account now for once I hit dragon rank on my main, and this have given me a lot to think about for a relic I had written off
14:51 is the best tip. Couldn't agree more. That said, I kinda wish i picked it up instead of going prod master on both of my accounts. Would be an interesting playthrough
Glad that you picked a lesser-used relic. It’s about what’s the most fun. I’ve had more fun this league, because half of the relics I chose was because I didn’t want to spend more than an hour doing something monotonous trying to gather a specific resource. Next league honestly I will probably just see what gets me to tear eat the fastest so I can start bossing content as fast as possible.
I picked equilibrium last year and enjoyed it a lot. This year however, having maxed, for me it doesn't weighs up to the convenience of dodgy deals + friendly forager. Especially since Kandarin with its herb patches got shafted. There were definitely some very hard choices this year when picking relics though and equilibrium is up there! It just didn't quite make it. For my personal gameplay preferences anyway. E.g. thieving in FMT would have been hell without dodgy deals and I'm not a big fan of sepulchre. If it works for you though, it does give a lot of (constant) value.
eyyyyyyyyy cheers double!!!!! i do love this relic this league somehow its bene more meaningful thne i expecte,d but at the end of the day its a lifestyle chocie hah and really only matters for comfy or for going for 50mil alls~ but the EARLY game ramp in a lot of skills was also super clean and interesting~ cheeeeeeeeeeeeers so sad i havent been able ot hangout more BUT IM ONLY A FEW DAYS AWAY FROM MY MULTI WEEK LEAGUES VACATION LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I also disagree with the criticism that the relic is 'unfun'. my criticism of the relic is that it does not scale with the 16x league multiplier. I think the only way the relic gets the value of a full relic slot is if it allocates the xp to your lowest skill (not just the one being trained). If they fix that, I think it will very much be a contender for pretty much any tier it's placed in.
I’ll be honest, I got it on a previous league without understanding it properly and was massively disappointed. In leagues you can train any skill easy enough and it’s just not worth it over golden god (most OP relic of the league) or even reloaded for a second t1/2 relic
For rc, would u benefit by dropping a bunch of essence and then picking them up 1 at a time? Going from like 150 xp to 550 xp if its your lowest per essence. Id assume bankers note spamming is still faster
Not worth. Ourania gets a nice buff with EQ though, you're using half the ess and getting comparable exp to crafting a full invent of ess elsewhere. You sacrifice the profit from selling runes by doing that though since you get ele runes and stuff
Since i have zero interest in doing soul wars for essence, I used banker's note to unnote one essence at a time, to make my early essence from pvm go further. Now that I've gotten into lategame pvm that drops buckets of essence, I don't have to be quite so frugal 😂
They always put it on a tier that has other good choices though. I don't think it out competes forager unless you have a good region for your necessary combat potions (or are just magic gang)
In my regions of ZAF, there's no point in EQ. Every skill is already solved with my other relics and GG, minus RC and Fletching. If it replaced Corner Cutter, I think it'd be a much better relic.
I took equilibrium on my alt. Honestly, while it's dogshit in the beginning, I would have rather had it than Golden Nap. Nap is useless after the first week.
I chose Golden God and if I could redo, I'd probably choose Equilibrium instead. My hatred for mining is made easier by just choosing the relic that makes it much faster
So you are aware, you don't ever need to train mining in a league outside of tasks that have you mine X ore. I got dragon this league without maxing, with my mining at level 92. All you need to do is complete all your region diaries (for me, I had 5) and use all lamps on mining. Then you complete all exhibits in the basement of Varrock museum. Now, I'm in the great minority of people who get dragon without maxing, but if you still need to get 99 mining, yes you will need to do some training. But at least now you only need to do 92-99
I'm sorry brother, but claiming it has shaped your game play more than things like Banker's Note or Total Recall is some of the most ridiculous cope I've ever heard in my life. Talk all you want, but all it does is add a slight buff to your xp an hour. In a mode where your xp has a 16x modifier. I'm glad you are enjoying it, but it just ain't that deep
it opens up significantly more unique training methods than bankers note which largely just eliminates travel time or allows you to do production Skills during bosses. It doesn't really shape how I skill otherwise whereas equilibrium allowed many novel ways to train skills
Can confirm. You factually can't wrap your head around how many changes to training equilibrium provides unless you've taken it and played to almost max. It's like sand paper, smoothes over every skills rough edges. Every single action provides a satisfying amount of experience.
I feel like reloaded into forager/dodgy or power miner/wrangler is still stronger. I maxed and had no problem getting xp when its 16x Sounds like heavy copium to me
I thought about it, but for my regions: I already have Dodgy, and have plenty of herbs and secondaries from pvm, so forager would be overkill. I already have Wrangler, and i have Tirannwn for crystal smithing training, which immediately reduces the value of Power Miner. It would make mining more afk, but i already have plenty of afk grinds to do, and ye olde iron powermining gets a *solid* boost from Equilibrium, so it gives me relatively little benefit there. As for Jacker, my woodcutting and firemaking are very easy, and fletching is zero-time with broad bolts, and *that* gets a solid boost from Equilibrium too. Ultimately, I just found that Reloaded would only help make *one single skill* faster/easier, while Equilibrium helps me with all. As for Golden God, There are relatively few things i wanna do where having the extra money is that much of a bonus, given my regions, and I certainly don't need the prayer or magic xp. In general, I've just found it a lot of fun to use, and a *massive* timesave when it comes to raw points.
