I got a used 4 door 1997 Blazer in 2000 for my son who was at college in Pennsylvania. It was white with 4 wheel drive. It had a V6. It was beautiful and we never had any problems with it. The only negative was it got terrible gas mileage. I felt good about this vehicle as my son had a lot of snow in the winter and with the 4 wheel drive, it served him well. We keep it for another 12 years. It just ran so well. We then sold it and I know it's still in use. P

There was the TrailBlazer, Envoy, Rainer, Bravada, Ascender, and the Saab something rather on the same platform lol. And according ti wikipedia the GM mini trucks Canyon and Colorado were also on the same platform which means the H3 was too.
Bolad same shit, different name (and a few inches) only difference between my tahoe and the blazer was the number of doors. throw em up on a lift and you wouldent see a difference
when i ordered the shocks for my tahoe, it interchanged with every other k1500 (suburban, silverado blazer etc...) i think the rears may have just been slightly different lengths. i added a leaf in the rear and it rides the same as any other truck.
Sure, but it wasn't addressed, and it is important because Chevy at some point had two different vehicles being sold under the Blazer name but the very last full size Blazer was a pretty badass vehicle with optional fender flares and a modern interior (in comparison with the previous generation)

I hear ya dude, why tf would they ruin such a happy car with a gay ass crossover ford exlorer abomination?
@@antwontwontwon2378 I mean it makes more Money to people who don't care about Cars let alone of roading.
They need to use zr2 Colorado to do another Blazer
At least the Explorer looks cool...the 2020 Blazer is ugly as fuck, hahaha. Like, what the hell were they going for? It looks like a Nissan Murano and a Maxima had a baby with a trailblazer xD
Its basically a traverse with a different name 😂
My first truck is a 05 Blazer It's a love hate truck But over all Camping, Fishing, Winter driving, Hauling rail road ties, Pulling a trailer, Back roads, Drive- in movies, Pulling over after 8 hrs of driving for a snooze in the back with the back seats down And memory foam rolled out. Tail gate down seating with friends at the local coffee shop, I have done my own pigskin leather seats and trim gave it a mild lift Drove on un plowed roads in the Canadian north It isn't a Pro off road truck but it works when you need it to.
When you brought up the trailblazers I though you were going to mention the SS version
Up to speed: FORD BRONCO
Jman 1 oj simpson
My dad has a trailblazer, it’s had a few problems here and there but nothing major which is remarkable considering since he bought it used in 2008 he’s gone quite literally a million and a half miles in the thing traveling from the southernmost tip of Texas to Washington DC to San Francisco and back to the tip of Texas basically almost every year and all the important bits still work
Please pontiac Firebird
Matthew Kopplin FUCK YES
Matthew Kopplin Eh they’ve already done the Camaro which is structurally identical
Wolfghost729 fax
Camaro never had the 3.8L Turbo or the Ram air induction hood ..Smokey and the Bandit? Knight rider? Pop up head lights 6.6L shaker cowl Camaro has its own history as does Firebirds I owned both
I don't know why I'm surprised to see the chevy blazer in this series
Pretty cool to watch this as I bought a 1990 K-5 blazer at 14 and have been working on it since.
Do a up to speed with a Lexus IS300
UP TO SPEED: NSX
UP TO SPEED: FIREBIRD
UP TO SPEED: CELICA
UP TO SPEED: CAYMAN
UP TO SPEED: INFINITI G/Q
My father owned a 73 Blazer and I own a 79. I love these damn trucks!
Toyota celica *next* !
they already did the supra and mr2 so i doubt they would also do the celica
Alex O'Boyle doubt? That would complete the trio Brother line up lmao, They don’t call the Celica the Supra’s little brother for nothing.
samuel ariza exactly
The celiac and actually the supras father. Without the celiac there would not have been a Supra since the mk1 is literally called the celica Supra
Joe Gray Witch goes to show that we need an UTS episode on it.
BRONCO And EXPLORER up to speed
lol the explorer was shit
Alan_Akbar yes but it had a smooth smell
Lol It really is shit.
The bronco is a stock trophy truck, unlike the explorer, that only explored parking lots and highways lol
The exploder, i mean "explorer" spent more time on its side than it did on its faulty wheels. Lol
My dad drives a 2001 blazer and it's a really nice car. Thier might not be much leg room in the back and may not work half the time but I still love it! Because it gets what we need done done!
For the record, the full size v8 Blazer and 6.4 diesel turbo package continued until 1994 under the Tahoe chassis (but shortened and with 2 doors). It was then renamed the Tahoe in '95
6.5 Detroit Turbo Diesel
Man I miss my blazer.
Tomas Charles wht happen 2 it?
Not me, I love driving it sucka
I had a 95 for 7 years, and 99 for 11 years. These Blazers are tough little machines! With basic maintenance upkeep, you can't kill 'em!
Up to Speed: Dodge Challenger and or Charger
codrin stefan Challenger*
Nathaniel you are right comrade! My bad
codrin stefan

So I was just watching a Life of Boris video and he shouts "comrade" right when I get this notification.
What a coincidence.
Nathaniel Life of Boris is best channel, comrade
Nathaniel I.SEE.YOU.
this is the first episode of a car i actually have lol
i have a chevy blazer 1993 with all the goodies such as the 4,3 v6, electrical windows and mirrors etc.
RifleRud same here, 2006 Trailblazer owner (non SS sadly)
I've had three K-5's and a 81 full-size GMC Jimmy which is the same thing, Awesome trucks!!!
O, and a s-10 blazer too, 2.8 v6 version.
I owned a 1983 S-10 long bed and a 1985 Jimmy 4X4 with the 2.8 liter v-6. My experience with the 2.8 was that it was prone to leaking rear main oil seals.
I still drive an 03 s10 blazer zr2 and I love her..
the blazer just kept getting less cool styling wise as the years went by.
Donut, Never lose james ever! He is 99% of the channel.
Loved the inclusion of that Pulp Fiction scene upon mention of ”in 1994” lol!
Escort please
YES! So he can also talk about the Focus and the Mazda-Ford cooperation!
i've had 3 K-5 Blazers from 72' to 85' miss the trucks "you can smash in", but don't miss the gas mileage. taking the top off took 2 guys, but was worth it! keep on keepin' on!
Why didn't you talk about the trailBlazer ss
Funny that in some market Blazer was sold as an Opel.
Ifan Ramadhana opel blazer indo
Deans0590 I No they aren't a "failed" car. They are one of few popular upmarket SUV at that time. They were known as a "manager's company car" in your country. They still had a loyal supporting base of fan. Beside if they are a "failed car" how can they sell and assemble it in your country for almost a decade.
PS: Please use English as this is an US based video channel.
Ifan Ramadhana sorry im just a cheeroke fan sorry sorry sorry
cuz Opel was and still is owned by GM
Opel frontera? We had one
My Dad still got his 1996 Chevy Blazer LS and it's doing great! Got close to 300K on it, but still running AOK !!!
Van Damme... in a military Blazer.... FIGHTING OFF SKYNET!
I don't know what the hell those UA-cam awards are called but DAMN IT the editor of this video needs one!
3:18 I'm sold!
i loveeeeee my blazer. the top heavy aspect is the only downside but for my first truck i think it’s neat. super reliable as well
MazdaSpeed next please!
Can i just get the honda nsx?
I got a used 4 door 1997 Blazer in 2000 for my son who was at college in Pennsylvania. It was white with 4 wheel drive. It had a V6. It was beautiful and we never had any problems with it. The only negative was it got terrible gas mileage. I felt good about this vehicle as my son had a lot of snow in the winter and with the 4 wheel drive, it served him well. We keep it for another 12 years. It just ran so well. We then sold it and I know it's still in use.
P
Talking about the Chevrolet *Ford in the background* *TRIGGERED*
Gertautas Garnys *talks about any other company that isn’t Chevy*
*starts writing a 2 page essay fanboying about the brand*
Owner of a '98 GMC Jimmy 😤😤💪🏽💪🏽😢😣😣
Had a '97 for a beater one time. One of the Best fuckin' things I ever drove, would love to buy one again.
1986 m1009 owner here and she has a j-code 6.2 turbo diesel
Hector Sanchez I’m a very proud owner of a ‘03 trailblazer with 180k miles, got it for $3k. Fantastic value especially for a broke school student like me
Juh Berkey trailblazers are awesome! Had two of them.
I got 98 Chevy blazer
Absolutely love my 2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4. Only 145,000 miles on it.
Surprised the Envoy and other offshoots weren't mentioned.
nightc1 well I mean, he could probably do a whole video on it there were so many rebadges of the Trailblazer, the Envoy, the Ascender, the 9-7, the Rainier, the Bravada, there was even a Hummer concept of the platform, heck I'm probs forgetting one there were so many
There was the TrailBlazer, Envoy, Rainer, Bravada, Ascender, and the Saab something rather on the same platform lol. And according ti wikipedia the GM mini trucks Canyon and Colorado were also on the same platform which means the H3 was too.
TJC450 actually, if you check the wiki page for GMT355, it specifically states sespite close numberings the platforms share almost nothing
Justin Noker Ahh see can’t believe everything you read.
do volvo next
yes
Yes! They're the only manufacturer that makes sexy station wagons.
Day one of me watching, liking, and commenting on every episode of Up To Speed until they make more
Now do the TRAILBLAZER SS
Elchrstin Gaming dude yea lol I have no idea why he didn't mention it in this video. I was waiting for it the entire time.
MrJOSE990 lmao ME TOO
Same lol
Big gay
Finally my family car in a get up to speed lol
Proud owner of an '07 Chevy TB! Love it!
You didn’t cover the Xtreme package. :’(
Or the zr2s
My dad had one of those and he sold it 3 years ago. He regrets it.
Do pagani
not exactly a ton of history there
Chevy blazer was my first, second and third vehicle I owned after getting my license. Transmission failed on all 3 not long after buying each. Lol
U have to do the cousins ( Escalade, Tahoe, suburban)
Bolad same shit, different name (and a few inches) only difference between my tahoe and the blazer was the number of doors. throw em up on a lift and you wouldent see a difference
Serveck
Tahoe is more prone to roll on some speed levels due to very spongy suspensions, IF I am correct. If.
when i ordered the shocks for my tahoe, it interchanged with every other k1500 (suburban, silverado blazer etc...) i think the rears may have just been slightly different lengths. i added a leaf in the rear and it rides the same as any other truck.
Isuzu rodeo has to be on the list too
If wasn’t for Driver San Fransisco I wouldn’t of even known this car
Has a sec best blazer for a cover of the video yet NEVER TALKS ABOUT IT!!!! THE ZR2🤤🤤
Wish thing any vehicle manufacturer ever did......was to stop creating the full size square body k5 blazer with removable top.....ever
Why no mention or even footage of the 92-94 K5 Blazer, which was the real last Blazer is beyond me...
no the last blazer was the zr2s
its no different than my 97 tahoe, just two extra doors.
I meant the last full size Blazer, the S10 Blazers are pretty much a whole different vehicle just with the same name.
Sure, but it wasn't addressed, and it is important because Chevy at some point had two different vehicles being sold under the Blazer name but the very last full size Blazer was a pretty badass vehicle with optional fender flares and a modern interior (in comparison with the previous generation)
i like my 4 door fullsize "modern" blazer, they are identical underneath
Fun bit that wasn't mentioned, the S-10 Blazer was also the platform on which the Grumman LLV mail trucks were built.
So yeah, most of your mail has been delivered by a Blazer, sort of
Boo four doors, miss my '04 two door blazer. Hope the new Bronco had two doors.
GSD fan the spy photos seem like they could in video a ford executive said like Jeep 2 door and 4 door
Wolfghost729 let's hope we have the choice. Manual transmission also I hope.
Yes!
