Oddly enough, you don't need a perfectly straight barrel for the projectile to fly out of the end. Makes sense since it'll go the path of least resistance. And if the barrel is thick enough to just bounce the projectile if it hits the side a bit. Kinda like how if you throw a punch and someone hits your arm to the side, it'll deviate off path a bit. Source: That time Demolition Ranch fired rifles with bent barrels. Including one barrel bent at a 90 or 180 degree angle. Yes, back towards the operator.
I can't remember the name (Edited:"Krummlauf" is the name) but the Germans during ww2 developed barrels that had 30,(I think 45),60,and 90 degree angles to allow shooting around corners and mounted on tanks to kill any climbers or nicknamed "pest" and sometimes "roaches". They discovered around 100 to 200 rounds could be fired before the barrel breaks but also discovered most bullets would chip the barrel and caused a spaling like effect and damaged the bullet normally.
Coincidental that you mentioned: "Finding Meaning when there is None" because I think the Developers are quite aware that fans and players will make their own meanings to things even if they didn't intend on it. Mostly this is due to Santiago, the artist Robobrain at Vault 118 in Far Harbor, as he says that it is remarkable that people find meaning in his art where none was intended, if you choose and pass the speech check when discussing his "Kitten with a Toy Rocket" painting, as he didn't put much effort in it and shipped it off as a commercial product that later became his most sold piece.
Interesting idea! Just a shame that the developers are also quite aware that players will also make their own, Fixes. To things if they never intended to.
I like the idea of Santiago in far harbor and new Vegas being related, also that the mysterious stranger being a strong early/prototype cursor of the institute. Agree with your last point about critique vs hate. It seems that many people have forgotten that you can like something, but still be able to point out its flaws or that you can hate something but still be able to point out its positives.
According to ingame notes, the Vertibird signal flare emits a smoke which is laden with some kind of electromagnetic tracer element. This will be picked up by sensors, and allow the 'Bird to find the location. This seems like a really complicated system, particularly considering the availability of "Distress Pulsers", the portable distress radio beacons used by the BoS. It would make more sense to me if summoning a Vertibird was done by throwing a "grenade" form of Distress Pulsers. In terms of game mechanics, it could have the exact same effect. If a visual indicator is wanted, a red, blinking light is pretty much as useful as a pillar of smoke, and might even have less impact on game performance.
Tbh it is just the tech that is overly complicated but once you have it , it is safe and simple. Alot of random wastelanders could call a vertibird if you use just regular flares, grenades, etc. A distress beacon would be obvious and if a enemy finds it could easily come up with a plan using it aswell as let the enemy know you are working with advanced technology. What the brotherhood has is covert and distinct to their alert systems. The crazy part is the tech kinda actually exists. I work in construction and Spray materials on surfaces. Their are spray pistols that actually magnetize the material to help it attract to surfaces. It's pretty much like everyother spray pistol the difference is the magnetize one cost like 10k starting price
@@aaronblacke6425 Thank you for responding, I didn't know about that kind of advanced spray painting technology. I would still argue that the "tracer smoke" is more complicated than the distress pulser, though. The distress pulser is a known technology, already in widespread use by BoS teams as shown in a particular quest in the game. They could be made resistant to tampering by requiring a code, or even biometrics, to operate. To have a _smoke flare_ emit a traceable electromagnetic signal that can be picked up far enough away that a Vertibird can be sent to its location... that's just redundant, not to mention just as sensitive to tampering as a distress pulser, if not more so. And yes, I know I'm talking about "realism" in a game that features super mutants, but I think the "magical smoke flare" is less consistent with the worldbuilding.
If anything, I'd like to imagine that the vertibird grenade is a two-in-one item, with the "EM frequency" or whatever being for long range uses only, given sophisticated equipment in Fallout can take up entire rooms if not thought out enough, and the smoke is a short-range visual indicator for pilots when they come into view. Because being given orders via radio about a long-range frequency, and basically flying blind the *entire* way isn't the most efficient. It's better to signal, the grenade autobroadcasts a particular quadrant, then pilots nav the last few thousand feet, especially if you end up calling for a ride in a city like Boston.
for the artillery check the generator at the castle make sure the tower is turned on theres a switch on the side and if that doesnt work check your time scale if its set really slow then the artillery wont fire for hours
I like the pipe guns, they're obviously based off the Luty and various homemade stuff, but them being weaker makes no sense. I would like a mod where they do the same damage as their counter parts, but are less accurate and break down and jam more often. They should also be more common as to show how bad things are, and would make regular guns more valuable.
This is an interesting video that is related to that. They rebalanced fo4 to do damage based on ammo type instead, plus a bunch of other stuff. ua-cam.com/video/zEmqmWUetfc/v-deo.html
that's the problem of Fallout 4, they completely removed the durability system altogether. Otherwise the implementation of the pipe guns wouldn't be so jarring. A weapon that deals good damage with the ammo you have, but its accuracy is abysmal and durability even more so. which would force the player into investing time and effort on better weapons as to not have to rely on those ever again.
@@combinecommando001 Glad somebody said it. Litterally just including the durability/repair system would fix SO MANY of the flaws in Fallout 4's sanbox! Weapons, crafting, and settlements alike.
It's hard to believe that Supermutants give much thought to their group survival considering there is usually one in the group with a mini-nuke tucked under their right arm. One well placed shot and you take out the whole group. I've never understood why there are so many Suiciders. Or why there are any at all considering, as you said, they can't reproduce easily.
I wondered if they're mutants who remember something of their former selves and find life as a supermutant traumatic, but I never found any in game evidence for it.
The Institute had been producing tons of super mutants for some reason and only stopped relatively recently. They can't reproduce on their own and will die out eventually, but there are still a lot of them left from when they were being made.
The Pipe Guns reminds me of a few things. The first is that making homemade weapons is not technically illegal here in the United States, but it is State dependent and you do have to register the weapon with the ATF. The other is something my cousin encountered while he was in Afghanistan in 2017-2018, known as Khyber Pass copies, which were homemade copies of real guns like the M1911 and other guns.
Decided to head to bed after working a late shift and playing games after, super happy to see a new radking video to listen to as I doze off… and then re watch again later so I can get my whole fix
I love the aesthetic of the pipe weapons, I just wish they could stay competitive at higher levels. Or if more guns had a jury-rigged look. That's one thing I appreciated about Far Cry New Dawn, and that was only like 20 years after a nuclear war. Thanks for the mention, RadKing! Always looking forward to your content.
a legendary wounding pipe SMG is quite neat. the effect does DMG over time and stacks, so the higher the rpm, the more DMG you get from the effect and not the shots
The finned barrel helps them stay competitive. Be creative with the legendary prefixes and available mods. Hint: it can attain the longest range available for a ballistic damage weapon, second only to the laser gun.
For the long rod used to cock the dart gun, can speak for the older spray guns, but in basic terms, for the modern spray guns, that rod is used to open or restrict the amount of paint coming out of the nozzle. Now thats for the gravity fed guns where the paint can sits on the top, may be different for the suction based one seen in game, haven't used the suction based one so my experience is limited
when you brought up the Laser Detonator from Lonesome Road, i was really really hoping you would bring up the ammo swap glitch... basically: through a specific sequence of hotkeying ammo and swapping between weapons, there is a way to make the detonator shoot (almost) any other ammo type, all while keeping the laser detonator's fire rate + unlimited ammo. ive seen people using Explosive .50 cal, Big Boy Mini Nukes, Hive Missiles, etc.. its absolutely insane. would actually be hilarious to see in the b/g of one of ur vids lol
Having worked with nailguns I can say they area able to reach hilarious rates of fire. Granted those are usually propelled by air pressure, which FONV one obviously isn't. You could basically hook one up into a pressure tank, jam down the safety which you'd press against the wood you were nailing and let it fly.
Lmao right, pneumatic nail guns. U can get it just right so it fires crazy fast (almost like a bump stock, is the only way I can compare it to) Just have to clear jams every now and again 😉
In regards to the dart gun, I feel it’s worth noting that Scorpions are notorious for their whole “The smaller they are, the more venom they’ll inject you with” deal. If that still applies, then I suppose it’s possible that the massive Scorpions of the wasteland mainly just stab you with their stingers and only inject a minuscule amount of venom that if concentrated as much as it is in the dart gun would be mildly paralytic.
I disagree here Radscorpins usually have a poison effect or something like it when attacked and seems to be strong enough to kill our player so a mild paralytic would be understating it
it’s been eight years since Fallout 4 released??? i was in like fifth grade when it came it out and now i’m in college lol great video as always, always appreciate your stuff popping up in my subscription feed!
The Sherman really just looks like a plain old M4, but with the applique "cheek" and driver/bow gunner armor pieces. The M4A3 redesigned the hull and hatches to remove the need to cover those awkward weak spots. And as for the gun, it's definitely the 75mm, even though the 76 could also fire HE ammunition. but the 76 would have a longer barrel and likely a different turret.
Love the videos man! Supper Soaker - Your stomach has acid that technically soaks whatever ends up in there. Hydrochloric, so the ammo makes sense as well. The Supper Soaker just skips the whole eating step. 🤙
@@screamingcactus1753 using grenades as a main weapon is basically handicapping yourself considering how a stack of grenades can eventually weigh more than a rifle and are much less versatile, not to mention possible supply issues. nv treated explosives well, fortunately.
I think the sherman tank is an A4 judging by the hatches, but it’s interesting that it has the mud guards on. Most in US service had them removed, but the British kept them on.
Absolutely love the railway rifle, it's been my favourite gun since I stumbled on it in fo3. It's my main weapon in fo76 as well- with the assault modification of course. I was spiking mole miners while watching this!
for the nailer the high fire rate makes some sense in theory, it has nothing to eject so it can save time since it has no need to make sure the spent case is clear and due to not using combustion (im assuming it is pneumatic) it wouldn't need to worry about over heating, so in theory it could be Jerry rigged to be full auto and rather rapid at that also assuming it works similar to a real life nail gun some minor jerry rigging would be needed to disable the safety any way, though i dont have a nail gun lying around im willing to destroy or id be tempted to see it i could make such a thing work but till someone does it's only in theory.
I see what your going for, but how would the weapon operate without first pressurising? Oddly, the nail guns operated by cartriges/blanks (although they're not really blanks.) Have a higher fire rate as you don't have to wait a few seconds/minutes for the air compressor to recharge the air resovoir.
Railway rifle definitely pins things to walls in fallout 76. Really glitchy though, just this morning I pinned a deathclaw to a hill some 50 m behind it. Very glitchy, he stretched the whole way then slingshot over.
To quote TheRussianbadger "The Wasteland is full of scary shit that breaks your limbs and takes your health away." Deathclaws are the epitome of that statement.
Probally 1 of my favorite underused weird guns in FO76 is probally the Syringer. I don't know much about it but the fact it has some extremly good buff/debuff mods
My buddy and I are big into firearms, and we built a pipe gun. Of course, the hardest part is the receiver, which we just used a rifle’s receiver and made the pipe gun around it. A couple things to note: a pipe “rifle” is a contradiction in terms, essentially, as the pipe has no rifling. It’s essentially a smooth bore musket. Our pipe gun was chambered in .32, and was ridiculously inaccurate. It also had a very short shelf life, particularly the pipe. While we used steel rigid pipe, the heat and gas from firing (as well as the bullet striking the pipe interior laterally) warped the pipe to an unsafe degree after only 10 shots. Even before this, escaping gas and heat made wearing gloves and safety glasses mandatory. The bullet has no twist, and because the pipe is not machined to perfect diameter, the bullet was “rattling” down the pipe. Imagine throwing a tennis ball down a pipe that is just a bit larger than the ball. We initially shot for 20 yards, and you could hit RoP right on one shot and completely miss bottom left the next. Additionally, we lost so much speed in the pipe that the bullet would sometimes fail to puncture the 1/2 plywood the target was on. The pipe also was so light that keeping the firearm level was challenging and irritating, making aiming take longer. Not good if you’re relying on this weapon for personal defense. Pipe weapons like this are next to useless at any kind of range. They could perhaps be useful in CQC, where aim doesn’t matter.
I think them being slowed down by the venom is the idea. Essentially that they are sick from being poisoned and therefore are no longer able to catch you. Less that it specifically affects the legs
Have you ever thought of doing a lore video on the children of atom? Covering their history and beliefs and speculating how they may develop as a faction and interact with other factions. Please feed my special interest Radiation Daddy
The neat part of the pipe weapon silencer is that is a 100% accurate makeshift suppressor. There are adapters for the AR15 that allow for this. The real question is where are they getting oil filters on fusion powered vehicles? Do they operate just like an internal combustion engine in that regard?
I was goint to make a comment about "if only they could have made the rest of the makeshift weapons functionally accurate." But that is a very good point. Where DO they get those filters from?!
Maybe the supper soaker is a reference to the hydrochloric acid, which we have some in our stomachs. So in a pinch you could try to regurgitate last night's supper and launch it at your enemies
I have an agility- stealth sniper build. I only ever use vats to shoot. On top of The Stranger just helping me "solo" harder bosses, because he can grab aggro. Which is neat since i play alone mostly. I only Swap to another build - my Heavy build with Power Armor and Minigun when i do a raid or go into a Nuke Zone. Fallout 76 is seriouesly so fucking good. its GREAT alone with minimal gripes. And only gets so much funnier with a friend. even tho most games are fun with a friend, this one really makes it easier to enjoy the wasteland with.
the laser detonator likely shoots out a laser that messed up the internal components of a warhead causing it to heat itself up and eventually detonate the explosive meant to send the fissile material supercriical but due to half life or just improper detonation or general deterioration the fissile material is only enough to radiate the surrounding area
It seems clear that the idea of _Lonesome Road,_ effective or not, is that you _are_ setting off some sort of "pocket nuke" warhead and repeating the great sin of the Old World. Key to that DLC is how, unlike the three other DLCs for _New Vegas,_ you can just turn around and go back to the Mojave the way you came in. You have to choose to walk the Road, and to walk it, you have to nuke it. That leads, or _tries_ to lead, to the decision at its end.
One other interesting fact about the H&H Nailgun is that the nails themselves have an Enemy DT -5 effect, which you may have mentioned and I may have missed.
For as bad as the pipe weapons are after the early game, i think they're the perfect weapon for someone who just started. You get three different kinds and each can be built a specific way, allowing players to find out what kind of gun fits them better. So once they find better weapons, they know that they prefer automatics or pistols or single-shot rifles etc. My only real complaint is that there was no pipe shotgun (that made it into the game) nor some kind of melee equivalent like a makeshift club you can craft into multiple lengths or something.
The problem is they are so shit an upgraded pipe weapon is still not as good as other stock weapons, pipe weapons would have had a roll if weapon durability was around and they were the cheap weapons easy to keep repaired while better weapons are like Elijah's LAER and are objectively stronger, but they need more maintenance
HCl or Hydrochloric Acid is the main element of stomach acid, so calling it the "supper soaker" is most likely a joke on how you're throwing concentrated digestive juice at people, melting them the same way your body would melt, well... supper.
The FO3 Railway rifle components can also all be found in one of the Metro tunnels in DC. OXhorn actually used the rifle during his video series on the Fallout 3 Metro where he made a completely new character to explore the tunnels
im dreading the day you run out of weapons to analyse in these videos, i love watching these videos. I watch them multiple times and fall asleep to them almost every day
"The Phantom Darter" may also be a reference to "The Phantom Blooper," a novel by Gustav Hasford. It's the sequel to the book "The Short Timers" which was the basis for Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (1987).
I suspect Radking has some real world firearm experience. Keep the great content coming. With all the things bad in the world content like this lifts us all up.
fun fact about about the laser detonator: it isn't actually a detonator in the code, if you use the ammo swap glitch to equip it with projectile type ammo like explosive 50 bmg, missiles, rockets, or mini nukes, it will not only always critically hit, but it also vaporizes enemies into blue ash, which implies that it actually shares a lot of its code with the alien blaster gun
for some reason i seem to remember the railway rifle having the nails in a clip (kinda like an irl nail gun), but now that i look at it closer it's just one spike seemingly.
21:37 *_"Chill out! It was just a prank, bro!"_* I would just like to remind everyone that in the segment before, RadKing implied the reason the gun was refilled when unequipping was that the sole survivor is urinating in it. 🤔Can't quite put my finger on why they get mad...
Actually there is another flare type in 76 that calls in a Vertibot for air support. You have to capture one of the public workshops with a Vertibot pad.
As you said, about the paint gun nozzle, I have always held that the cooking handle is a manual pump so every time you cock the weapon and push the plunger forward after the dart is seated the projectile is coated by the spray of venom.
Hey, the dart gun was surprisingly helpful, sneak attack a deathclaw and bam, slowclaw! Edit: okay good, he made sure to show the deathclaw thing, thanks RadKing!
14:48 The Sherman variant shown in the game is the original M4 model. It is the only variant of the welded Shermans that had the protruding portions for the driver and co-driver because it’s upper glacis was inclined at 55 degrees compared to 45 degrees for later models which removed the need for the protruding portions on the front plate.
Imagine going around the Commonwealth in T-51 with minutemen paint, a fully upgraded laser musket, Preston Garvey, and Radio Freedom on. Every settlement has an artillery piece, a whole grid of military force. See a super mutant behemoth, the blue smoke goes up, the red flares go up, and you hear minutemen confirm they have eyes on the smoke before dropping an explosive payload on the target, while six minutemen show up with laser muskets, unleashing a firing line on the surrounding super mutants.
The railway rifle is one of my favorite weapons in all of Fallout. I got one recently in Fallout 76 and found plans to turn it automatic and it shoots way faster than expected
26:46 I tried to discuss this with a friend of mine. But he had non of it. The half-life of the conventional explosive on the old bombs had reached its time before the events of FO3 or NV. So blowing off the old explosive would cause a close to fission reaction, but wouldn't give you that big boom it would've had in its heyday.
I paused the video at the 36 minute mark to comment on the "bayonet" for the railway rifle in fallout 4. If you were to muzzle strike somebody with that, you would definitely rock their shit pretty hard, especially if you could sharpen the edges of that drill bit more. Other than that, another excellent video as always
Tank person here! The Sherman is a mix of M4, M4A2, and M4A4 variants, not a M4A3, the M4 the first iteration of the tank with A# meaning a alteration was made. Although sometimes I might be wrong as the Sherman variants are numerous.
The amount of minutiae in figuring out what variant of sherman it is means it’s literally a dice roll on what variant the Sherman is, it’s almost not worth our time even trying because lord knows the developers didn’t put that much thought into it
I know I'm a year late but if the dart gun from fallout 3 was also used in New Vegas, then it would absolutely trivialize any fights that includes the deathclaws
That paint gun used for the dart gun is very similar to the ones in widespread use on the military for painting vehicles and makeshift buildings, especially camouflage patterns (can you tell I was on a Brigade vehicle painting detail?)
It's a shame that you can't modify the flare guns to become grenade launchers, since many were given that exact modification in modern history. Especially in New Vegas, where there's 25mm grenades, which fits the caliber used by the Leucht close enough. You could also have a stock as a modification, since they had one too. It seems like wasted potential.
Its funny you bring up that pipe weapons are the only weapons that use 38. But on top that they have to be 38. Special because regular 38. Rounds are for revolvers and making a mag fed gun with that would be grossly complicated also 38. Special irl is kinda rare due to almost exclusively being made for police issued guns that aren't even adopted anymore
Could be stretching but I think the nailer is a reference to a photo I saw alot around the time of Fallout 3 & NV which was a M4 that was part yellow and had DeWalt stickers all over it. Everyone was memeing about finishing their buddies fence in one afternoon from 2 blocks away
In FO76, Railway Rifle with the Quad legendary effect (4x clip size) with an automatic receiver is... it's absolutely ridiculous. I've been playing for about 6 months, just got one, and I believe it's easily among the highest DPS weapons in the game (see also Auto-Axe, Chainsaw). Just brutal.
My most current save of FO4 is my first dedicated automatic weapon build, and the automatic pipe weapons were great for early game use since the ammo was plentiful and they were able to be fully customized quick and easily. Also managed to find a pipe auto pistol in one of the bags in sanctuary too so I was able to start right off with it
My theory for the pipe guns is with the great war going on the us government and/or some organization released psa's teaching the public how to make them possibly that article in the magazine was about making them based off of a design common in Detroit pre war so then after the bombs dropped the survivors made pipe weapons and/or taught their descendants how to make them resulting in them being extremely common in the wasteland with plenty of scrap
Good take on 76 at the end there. After pre ordering it, going through the fallout - heh, and then dropping the game for years, I actually went back to it in July and am still playing it. It finally feels as it should of been on release, there are still many parts I can complain about but now its playable and scratches my fallout and looting itch while also seeing other people go about in the world so it feels less dead
30:00 ~ when your talking about the rate of fire of a nailgun, the fun part is either the PC or workers must have modified these nailguns, because a standard nailgun has a trigger plate on the front as well as the trigger on the grip. The rate of fire is actually accurate, because the nail is *usually* only triggered to be fired by pressing it against the board while pulling the trigger, which is done in a swift stamping motion, and if the trigger plate is held down or modified, nothing is stopping the nailgun from dumping its nails as fast as nailgun-ly possible.
the dart reminds me of the Roman Plumbata (which looks like a heavy weighted Broadheaded Lawn Dart that was used in ancient warfare. I have used the dart gun in stealth mode to one-shot raiders
I doubt we ever would, but a game covering all of michigan would be cool, with pipe weapons from detroit maybe having more to them, or even a faction that specializes in making and using them
yes, the railway rifle in FO76 is able to nail body parts to the wall. it happens rarely and when it does, it causes the part to be stretched out to the area where it's been nailed to, sometimes causing the main body to spazz and ragdoll
I haven’t watched any of your other videos, but it would be a travesty if you didn’t mention the grenade rewarded for completing “here be monsters” in fallout 4. The one that signals the submarine to launch an actual, non-mini nuke.

Nuka cola is freaking insane to put it shortly. That said it be hilarious to watch a raider drink a weaponized nuka cola thinking the xxx and booms meant booze was added to it only for them to blow up.
I have not seen your video about Fallout handguns, but I absolutely expected the Helios 1 Orbital Ray thingy from New Vegas here, as it is "just a toy gun" until you choose to rerout the Helios 1 power to the weapon system
I love how Nuka Break showed the main character using VATS. Am I the only one worried the Fallout TV series won't be as good as Nuka Break? I know the series didn't have a high production value and i think it was made my film students, but even these days it kinda slaps
I’m so glad the local gangs didn’t find the project cobalt notes. If they found out how to weaponize nuka cola quantum with squirt guns, they’d have tried to find the recipe and dominated. Also, HUGE FAN of the railway rifle lol
My main shotgunner in 76 relies entirely on VATS, I can't play her much without it. My alien blaster dude is the same. He cannot fight without VATS full stop. My commando is semi-VATS. For the most part she needs it, and will stay in it if she can kill things in 2-6 seconds, but she's not stacked in AP to handle the automatic drain on it with VATS. my big guns, and melee don't use it at all.

There's a really good mod that swaps your stack of Vertibird Signal flares for a single reusable Distress Pulser

@@thornescapes7707 grabbed some for my survival run, night and day differe.
that's the problem of Fallout 4, they completely removed the durability system altogether. Otherwise the implementation of the pipe guns wouldn't be so jarring. A weapon that deals good damage with the ammo you have, but its accuracy is abysmal and durability even more so. which would force the player into investing time and effort on better weapons as to not have to rely on those ever again.

Kaiber pass is a magical place

I love the concept, but the execution definately falls short for me.
I bloody loved pipe weapons. In my first playthrough, I got through like 80% of the campaign because of common the ammo was.
U can get it just right so it fires crazy fast (almost like a bump stock, is the only way I can compare it to)
Just have to clear jams every now and again 😉
In regards to the dart gun, I feel it’s worth noting that Scorpions are notorious for their whole “The smaller they are, the more venom they’ll inject you with” deal.
If that still applies, then I suppose it’s possible that the massive Scorpions of the wasteland mainly just stab you with their stingers and only inject a minuscule amount of venom that if concentrated as much as it is in the dart gun would be mildly paralytic.
I disagree here Radscorpins usually have a poison effect or something like it when attacked and seems to be strong enough to kill our player so a mild paralytic would be understating it
I've noticed that in NV, a young Cazador or Scorpion does more venom damage than a giant one.
it’s been eight years since Fallout 4 released??? i was in like fifth grade when it came it out and now i’m in college lol

The quote from the border defenders could be a reference to the “lumberjack song” from Monty python.

I’ve got a 2SE and an AAE in FO76...I love them; they hit like trucks... and ammo is super cheap...!
for the nailer the high fire rate makes some sense in theory, it has nothing to eject so it can save time since it has no need to make sure the spent case is clear and due to not using combustion (im assuming it is pneumatic) it wouldn't need to worry about over heating, so in theory it could be Jerry rigged to be full auto and rather rapid at that also assuming it works similar to a real life nail gun some minor jerry rigging would be needed to disable the safety any way, though i dont have a nail gun lying around im willing to destroy or id be tempted to see it i could make such a thing work but till someone does it's only in theory.
We used to mess around with the bloatfly one to great effect 😂 I think there's a video or two on it on YT
This comment was a genuinely interesting read, thanks holmes :)
Also the camera in FNV that Michael Angelo gives you; when you point it at people, they get angry like you are pointing a gun at them.
Watching the clip of him trying to kill those deathclaws with the rocket launcher was so painful and frustrating oh my god.
I think them being slowed down by the venom is the idea. Essentially that they are sick from being poisoned and therefore are no longer able to catch you. Less that it specifically affects the legs

The neat part of the pipe weapon silencer is that is a 100% accurate makeshift suppressor. There are adapters for the AR15 that allow for this.
The real question is where are they getting oil filters on fusion powered vehicles? Do they operate just like an internal combustion engine in that regard?
I was goint to make a comment about "if only they could have made the rest of the makeshift weapons functionally accurate."
But that is a very good point. Where DO they get those filters from?!
Maybe the supper soaker is a reference to the hydrochloric acid, which we have some in our stomachs. So in a pinch you could try to regurgitate last night's supper and launch it at your enemies
The acid soaker seems like it's model should have also been a thirst zapper. Or acid should have been a mod for it.
I have an agility- stealth sniper build. I only ever use vats to shoot. On top of The Stranger just helping me "solo" harder bosses, because he can grab aggro.
It is very useful for automatic gun build early game
Eh I tended to carry a fully kitted out one around for dealing with trash mobs when I didn't want to waste better ammo.
@@volentimeh My go to for that when I wasn't using energy weapons was an automatic beam splitter laser pistol
The problem is they are so shit an upgraded pipe weapon is still not as good as other stock weapons, pipe weapons would have had a roll if weapon durability was around and they were the cheap weapons easy to keep repaired while better weapons are like Elijah's LAER and are objectively stronger, but they need more maintenance

fun fact about about the laser detonator: it isn't actually a detonator in the code, if you use the ammo swap glitch to equip it with projectile type ammo like explosive 50 bmg, missiles, rockets, or mini nukes, it will not only always critically hit, but it also vaporizes enemies into blue ash, which implies that it actually shares a lot of its code with the alien blaster gun

It also fits in better with the IRL purpose of a bayonet: Less of a truly dangerous weapon, and more of a psychological weapon.
Tank person here! The Sherman is a mix of M4, M4A2, and M4A4 variants, not a M4A3, the M4 the first iteration of the tank with A# meaning a alteration was made. Although sometimes I might be wrong as the Sherman variants are numerous.
The amount of minutiae in figuring out what variant of sherman it is means it’s literally a dice roll on what variant the Sherman is, it’s almost not worth our time even trying because lord knows the developers didn’t put that much thought into it
I believe it's just a straight m4a4 it looks the exact same, excluding the spotlights and exhaust looking part
The Supper Soaker might be referencing the fact that flies dissolve food by spitting acid

I love your channel rad king. I like listening while playing modded fallout 4 vr.

Nuka cola is freaking insane to put it shortly. That said it be hilarious to watch a raider drink a weaponized nuka cola thinking the xxx and booms meant booze was added to it only for them to blow up.
That’s peak fallout humor.
"Connie Abernathy" at the Abernathy farm, once had 3 thirst zappers in her inventory, for sale. When I restarted and after 2 months of in game time.
They probably changed the name of the Super-Soaker because the term is trademarked
Dart gun + CSA makes your character the equivalent of a stealth archer.
very potent considering the ammo found around the wasteland
