I just schooled my 19 year old daughter about Tim Cappello and why he's such an icon, for over an hour today we went down the UA-cam rabbit hole together. She already loved ANY kind of music involving a sax, she also loves anime. When I showed her the music video for Dark All Day (by Gunship) my daughter lost her freaking mind. I'm officially cool now, in her expert millennial opinion and I was like 'No, babygirl. YOU'RE officially cool now. You're welcome.'
This man was robbed of a more lucrative career and use of his artistic ability. I don’t know if it was through his own doing, or being taken advantage of by vultures in the industry. But, I wish he would’ve formed his own band (other than the Ken Dolls), and transformed with the times. He had the vocals, talent on multiple instruments, showmanship and the look, especially for that era. What an amazing musician.
Have you heard of Gunship? Tim Cappello plays on their album Dark All Day and he's in the music video (also titled Dark All Day). It's very recent, came out in the last 2 or 3 years. And omg it's so epic. Gunship and Tim Cappello go together like peanut butter and jelly :) Plus, he toured with Tina Turner for like 2 decades. So he really has had an incredibly lucky and fulfilling career as a musician.
I was terrified to even click on this video because until today I've only watched older 80's and 90's clips of him in his 'prime' and wasn't sure if he could still exude the same energy and talent, but that fear is gone now because OMG HE KILLED THIS PERFORMANCE and still plays and sings like a boss...a sexy boss who I would love to stay late at the office with ;)

This was at a convention. The audience was tired from being on their feet all day, one thing we can assure, there was amazing energy during this performance.
Because it was an 80's cast party and that kind of thing was unfortunately 'normal' back then. Not everyone who went to a cast party was a predator, tho.
