Sax star Tim Cappello on Good Day Rochester

- Опубліковано 18 сер 2022
- Legendary oiled-up sax man Tim Cappello, best known for his cameo in the '80s teen horror flick "The Lost Boys," appeared on Good Day Rochester ahead of a show at Record Archive.
Cappello pairs his luxuriant sax playing with his muscular physique and sexually provocative performances, which have been showcased on tours with Peter Gabriel, Tina Turner, and Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band.
In 2018, Cappello self-released his debut solo album, "Blood on the Reed," but unfortunately had to delay touring it due to the pandemic. However, Cappello has scheduled some shows through 2022 to finally promote it.
Ahead of his stop in Rochester, Cappello joined Good Day Rochester to discuss his career, his recent appearance on the Netflix series, "Worn Stories," and what audiences can expect from his one-man performances.

I love how no matter where he is, he is always oiled up.
Get yourself on trt and workout/eat healthy.
This man is 67 old and in a shape I can only dream of, being just 2/3 that old. Holy crap!!!
Eat good food. Avoid fast food. And now avoid mRNA food.
He got in shape after touring with Ringo and other huge artists but struggling with a heroin addiction. He was inspired to change by his niece being horrified by his state and spent the early 80’s building up his body and his career continued to flourish. He’s a really, genuinely nice guy.
Handsome, well built, too big for my taste.
@@morganssmashingpearls3329 because he is a man with the balls...not like nowadays boys-dolls who sit only at hairdressers...
Nowadays "culture" (it is rather lack of culture at all in my opinion) is rubbish, bullshit, junk and going to nowhere.
Nowadays it is even hard to see charismatic looking person on the street - they are all with no taste, no balls, no charisma, looking messy, clumsy and dirty. No class, no anything...
Legend , period ......
Tim talks about himself being a supporting act, but as a kid growing up in the 80's, Tims saxophone playing was iconic.
He was a huge part of the sound of the 80's.
I'm now in my mid 50's and Tim plays with my favourite band, GUNSHIP, and he's incredible..
He's an absolute legend...
He is so humble & obviously a cool person, he’s probably sad & glad at the same time , in thinking about the recent loss of his friend Tina Turner . They certainly complimented each other with a musical chemistry & emotional chemistry that you could feel just watching them perform. So sorry for your loss. And Thanks Tim for your talent & inspiration.❤😊👍
So beautifully said.
@@melatomic God Bless Tina, can you imagine your boss telling you on Monday morning that your going to start wearing a cod pierce as part of your new uniform!!! LMFAO
@@sarawashington5485 🤣🤣🤣 Only in the '80's
@@melatomic EXACTLY!!!!! Thank God Queen Tina wasn't ME TOO'-ED😰 Personally I think it looked GOOD👏👏👍👍. All Hail Queen Tina Turner 😇 RIP 💕💕💕💕💕💕
C est vrai une complicité avec Tina je pense a les voire peut être un peu plus tellement c est fort de les voire tous les deux en harmonie
Mr. Capello is a real legend. Way ahead of his time. 🎷❤️🎷❤️🎷
Tim is looking great -- and we lost Tina yesterday -- both great performers.
He deserves an oscar for Lost Boys performance. Lol!
So much positivity coming from this man. He always puts a smile on my face
Hes a too modest man...hes such a talent and obviously valuable musician in a band....and a great person not to forget.
He is a true artist in every sense of the word. Inspiring, exuberant and ageless. A life force!!
Et très beau Tim
I agree with everything you say 🔥
We love you Tim. Iconic!
Excelente 🎷🎷🎶🎵
I've seen him many times. He always has a great stage presence.
This guy... he was cool in Lost Boys, he's still cool now. And friendly also.
Amazing that he oiled up for the interview as well!
What an crazy guy!
My thought exactly.

Increíble que sean tan ENVIDIOSOS 😂😂😂
Ustedes jamás se verían como él ni con aceite, ni sin él.... jajajajajajaja
When I watched
Lost Boys when it first came out
I thought he was the most sexy man I had ever seen.. The oiled up sax man that had his few minutes of fame
I love that song..I Still Believe
He still has it going on for his age
Hes done alot more than sing on lost boys lol he was with tina turner for years.
It was the ending of the tina turner film what's love got to do with it that bought me here.
Dude has been a huge part of multiple major artists’ work
Oui l homme le plus sexy on en rêve trop beau
30 years on and I STILL BELIEVE 🎷😎
This guy has not changed in 40 years...😂
He is one of the vampires
Coke has not changed in 40 years
@@Illtempo-nz1de 😂
And that is a good thing
But that is also kind of sad too.
Tim 's sax solo slot during The Best is so beautiful it is my favourite piece of rock music. I missed Tim when he no longer played.
Was lucky enough to see Tina Turner and Timmy perform live back in the early 80s. It was a fantastic concert! Randomly crossing paths with TT in Zurich was on my bucket list but sadly she passed away 3 months before I got to Zurich. Hope TT is entertaining the angels now. 🥰
Tim capello rocks!
Dude is a beast and very talented. Seems cool as hell also.
Tina singing Private Dancer ...and at the moment that there's only music, dancing and chilling around Tim while he makes the saxo sound. That is an iconic and the sexiest part of that song. ❤❤❤❤ Miss Tina.
such a Legend.
Thanks for the great shows over the years especially with Tina!
Agreed 100% ❤
C est le rêve Tina et Tim
He caught my attention the first time I heard him in Tinas band.He is grest, and I love the sax.I talked my daughter into playing the sax in band.
He is the real deal. Nobody rocks the sax harder. Dude is a 67 yr old grandpa and is in better shape than 30 yr old soy boys. His album "blood on the reed" is high levels of kick ass. Everyone needs to hear the epic 2020s version of "I still believe". If conan the barbarian and clarence Clemmons combined with the road warrior...you would get Tim Cappello.
Alors un grand père très jeune et toujours très beau
So true!
He's a grandfather? He and his wife don't have kids I thought.
RVD needs to come back to WWE and use ISB as his walk-in song
Wtf he looks phenomenal! He's in better shape at 68 than I am at 33
67
Good interview, gave him the respect he deserves.
One of the most talented musicians I've had the pleasure of hearing!!!!
Too funny! Great memories he's sharing with public. He is such a talented musician. Lots of respect!
All the best for Tim❤
He is just an amazing musician and a great and cool person!
I love his personality!
Timmy, you are simply fantastic....
Sorry for the loss, Tim. Tina was the One of the Living.
He's a really cool guy and looks fantastic for 67. But I had to laugh when he said 'between you and me' - he's on television 🤣
Drinking from the fountain of youth!!! Tim sir you great!
I will treasure my signed photograph for life
wow...... he looks great still. was in TINA TURNERS band a long time & on EVERY world tour, CAN be seen in most of her videos. i been a fan of BOTH since the 80's. major stud muffin back in the day 😀😎💪
Tim and Tina were great in concert together.
Such a sweet guy.
I loved this interview. The great Tim Cappello still following his dreams. Also this host is a true passionate professional. Great JOB!
Gotta say, he’s in fantastic shape for 67. Clean eating and exercising really works
I still believe the saxophone is a viable rock n roll instrument
Oh I love you Timmy - wonderful human being xxxx lots of love beautiful lad x
❤❤❤ Great Tina Turner story.
From the first time I saw Tim I loved him I never knew his name till today and even is a very good music man and very good looking
I only know of his performances with Tina. The sexiest, most talented performer. I was impressed.
Thank you Tim for being so humble ❤️ always loved watching you on your with Ms Turner
I was in love with him when i was in school! Sooo handsome and so talented!
He was way more than the guy from the Lost Boys. He’s extremely talented as a musician
What a lovely man
This guy is a legend: an exemplar musician and human being. He knew to go through the business and take care of his body and mind. Huge respect for him.
Tim is the MAN!!!
He reminds me so much of my uncle. Big muscles and super corny but so nice and humble. It’s on my bucket list to see Timmy live… #ISTILLBELIEVE
Timmy & I played together in LA for a few years in band called "Ruby Creek". Miss ya brother !
Love, love, love Tim Capello
Je l Adore
Je ne l aime pas je l Adore Tim
Tina Turner knows how to pick them
Tim's not only a great Sax Player he's also such a great guy.
My neighbour loves this song so much they threw a brick through my window to hear it better.
What a lovely guy
have been your fan since the 80s❤
GUNSHIP kickass! I didn't know he played with them!!
Yeah I had no idea either! Lol
Makes so much sense though
Gotta follow Tim Capello, so much fun, talent, he also seems both humble but confident as a genuine human.
If you haven't heard Gunship he has slayed on a few of their songs lately.
Love you Tim Tim. I still believe in codpieces! Good interviewer. I liked the Interview. Good job at being a human being and good job with being good at your job.
he is so precious
Legend
He is a great Sax Player, the Best.
He is so down to earth.
I love this man
A very cool guy!!
Es un musico magnifico y completo, grande entre los GRANDES
True legend 🙏⚡️✝️🔥
Good thing he said that codpiece wasn't the original from 40 years ago....I could only imagine what shape it would be in ...WHOA !!
Wow! Tim is a legend! Killer Gunship shoutout too
Que simpatia! Lembrei do Tim do nada e vim pesquisar, que doce de pessoa 🎷🍭

Awesome stories Tim -- simply the best.
TY&Tim BEST Concert 🎶 of Over 💯 by FAR!
I wonder if he and Tina could do one more gig , just a short one for old time sake ? Excellent advice and fabulous history . He can show the young ones what it takes . Us older ones know and admire and respect . Such a gracious man . Yes I will buy his CD and I’m 70 .🎷🦢🎷
Rip Tina
He's so cool and friendly! Way to go!
What am amazing guy and human being People like him keep the world SANE (hugs and fist bumps)
Such a humble man
I know I Still Believe is probably what most people know, but for me I could listen to his solo on One of The Living all day and never get tired of it! Definitely a legend! 😎
Great performer, know him performing with Tina.❤️
Tina plus Tim les deux plus grandes stars au monde avec chacun sa passion et ils sont notre passion a nous pauvres mortels que nous sommes
Wow 67 years old… body, mind and energy of a teenager
This. Is. Amazing 😎
You can appreciate this legend even more for his humble, grounded nature 👍🍻
Wait. Tim is how old ? Human years ?! 😮
Love Him!!!
He is like the David Lee Roth of the sax
But what is David Lee Roth the David Lee Roth of? Spandex?
Yup. I totally see that, too.
Love u Tim! Simply the Best!
The original epic sax guy.
What a cool guy
I first heard this guy in Lost Boys and I apsoulty loved it.
I still believe Tim!
Geiler Typ auch jetzt noch und man sieht es ja ,das Musik im im Blut liegt an seinem Bewegungen 🥰mach weiter so 👍
When he stood up and said "codpiece," the interviewer reminded me of Sandra Bullock reacting to the exotic dancer dancing to "Relax" by FGTH in 😆 "The Proposal"
This guy could've been a pro wrestler. I love his enthusiasm. Big ups to the OG
Saw him live with Tina like 100 years ago in Dallas TX....Cyndi Lauper opened...amazing show 👏
This dude is a legend!!
THE BEST 👌 👍
