Maybe it’s my age but I think the 80’s produced some of the most iconic movies. Watching these videos of those movies makes me feel old. How time flies.

I think it could be good. If it is done in the same spirit as the first one. Scary but funny at the same time. And updating it to include how we live our lives now, as opposed to the 80s. I think it could work.

A remake of "The Lost Boys" may be interesting, but NO REMAKE would be half as successful as this one. This is also a peice of nostalgia that WE want to hold onto. No remake.

Leave this master piece alone! I haven't yet seen a remake that beats the original movie yet. The Lost Boy's was so well casted, written, shot and even the sound track was brilliant you will never be able to recreate the same feel of the movie.

You know some movies you just have to leave alone, this movie would be one of them. A very entertaining movie it is and everyone did such a great job and were well suited for their parts.
I don't believe any movie remake will make this one better, it is known as one of the best for its characters, soundtrack, setting and location as well as the make-up and props for the time, they did a great job by not over doing it. I would leave this one alone , it is still to this day one of the best ever made.
Oh yeah, they'll remake it, since they have no new ideas in Hollywood. They remake everything hoping to make a quick buck on an already good idea. But.....as they always do with remakes, they'll completely RUIN it, and any good memories we have. LEAVE IT ALONE!

My xxxxxxxx gf in Toronto, her brother was a security guard at the Eaton Centre in 87, when Corey Haim was doing promo work for the movie. He said that Corey was really cool and just asked the security staff that no one was to touch him during the promotions. At first, they thought he was being kind of a rude little Hollywood prick, but later on, he bought them all drinks, yeah this was the late eighties, and explained that he had been hit, and punched by young women so often, that he was always scared, as he was only fourteen years old. RIP Corey, sad how this young man's life ended
I acknowledge that Hollywood loves to remake things they think will make money, but a remake doesn't have the same synergy. Plus, this movie had a couple of unique plot twists that we didn't know about when it came out. Edward Hermann playing a bad guy when he had always played a very kind person? Brilliant! Jami Gertz, a beautiful brunette instead of a blonde bimbo? And, of course, Santa Cruz's beach boardwalk as the inspiration for the locale is always fun for those of us who love going there. The only thing that drove me crazy with the film when I saw it was hearing "Santa Carla" instead of "Santa Clara".
I really enjoyed this movie when it came out and so did my kids 20 years later. Its a timeless classic. Although I wouldn't mind a remake, I would not expect it to be as good as the original.
There is absolutely NO NEED to remake it. Filmmakers nowadays are messing with original perfection as they already did way before starting with Psycho (1960) then from the 1970s and 80s to 1990. So don't destroy this one, The Lost Boys either.
