You're like the cool kid on the block that all the kids want to go to your house and play. I know I would. How you like the case by the way? I got my Lian Li dynamic for my new build as well.
Haha all the gear, no idea. It's the best pc case I've ever built in without a doubt. That's why it is so popular now, but I had it before it was cool lol. I'm considering buying the new Evo version that can be mounted the other way, so at least it would be visible in my room.
@@thewarthogproject Yeah I have a similar issue, the PC is to my left and all that RGB is going to waste lol.
The things ralfi would do with this simpit
@@thewarthogproject I got the Lian LI XL, and damn if don't love this case
@@thewarthogproject just waiting for the airforce to reach out to you to have you make these for them lol
Pro tip: if you ever run out of Mavericks, try a Goose.
You big stud.
really impressed with the basic survival gear you added there. it really adds to the realism of the simpit. I'm talking about your fridge. You nailed it.
A fully working ejection seat would be nice! 😉👍
Man... VR is a whole new world but this is also friggin amazing.. what an amazing time to be a sim pilot
I hear ya about VR. I just bought a gaming rig with the RTX3060 and played DCS for the first time in VR...There are no words, it must be experienced to truly appreciate it.
@Steve This is the issue I have. I would love nothing more than to sit in the cockpit and manipulate the switches with my actual hands, but the visual limitations to a simpit just don't make it worth it for me. Perhaps in the future we could implement AR so we could use both together.
@@crazyirishwarrior You might be interested in this! ua-cam.com/video/F4yKM_FgMOE/v-deo.html
@@SpicySteve-tz2so Aha, ya i built a 3080 rig for the same reason. Its dead smooth on everything but parts of the Syria map and I will never go back to 2d gameplay... the difference has to be experienced to be believed
@@crazyirishwarrior My thoughts exactly, someday AR will make the combination perfect
always amazed at how much effort you have put into the project, amazing work - love to see you flying it too!
Love it mate. Always look forward to seeing new videos
The sim is looking fantastic. I can’t believe you have called it pretty much done. Thanks for sharing
👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
i have never wanted to try your sim pit more than i do currently. blow away by the quality
wow, love your videos man, your so passionate, and thats what makes it fun to watch!
Clearly, the biggest and most significant update is the fridge for your drinks 👍😃😎. As always, a super job! You are an inspiration to me.
04:03 Gotta love you're worried about being judges what's in the fridge more than anything else :D
That is sick. Amazing work and flying sir. Thanks for sharing!
You should have philips hue lights in the celing above you connected to the game so when it’s daylight in game your cockpit actually lights up. Immersion level up!
Edit: I think this is a really good idea
Smart!
Lmao that edit just made me laugh so hard. No shit you think your own idea is good.
@@RDR911 well sometimes I have bad ideas but I liked this one
This is one of the coolest youtube channels I have ever seen. You remind me a lot of one of Ben Eater, another favourite of mine, in that you are able to explain every part of your sim in detail whilst remaining easy to understand. Thanks for sharing your hobby.
This thing is nothing short of amazing! Awesome work m8!
Awesome setup - very envious - and a wonderful wrap around solution for impressive immersion.
You should definitely mount the hardest springs possible on the virpil!
Another awesome video on your Awesome Pit… you are doing an amazing job and the Air Force is going to end up being jealous!
duuuudee! looks awesome. Love the mini bar too
The work you've done is incredible, no doubt one day I'll try to do something similar, but I don't think I'll be able to
This looks amazing and is very inspiring!
Truly amazing - plus the fact you've chosen to share all that work and knowledge is even more so!
Wish I still had the basement that would allow a build like this. It's waaaaay cooler to show off than a VR headset!
Wow! Very impressive! Looks like great fun too.
This is amazing. Imagine this cockpit with a 360° dome projection ! 😍😍 Thanks for sharing and Congrats from 🇫🇷
I got a Throttle that isnt working if you want it.
Sweet set up brother. Super jealous!
Him: Enjoying life
US. Military: Hey can we use your simulator for studying purposes?
Real nice sim setup there 💙
Looks amazing man. I hope we see some oled panels in the future that can be bent for use like this. The difference in video quality since I've switched from LCD or projectors to OLED has been absolutely insane especially for night flying.
Dude this setup is bad ass well done good sir. I just got my first VR headset and a simple X56Hotas right now. but one day i want something similar for a tomcat. Keep doing your thing man.
I was watching the intro and was wondering what in the world you were using to make the instrument panel that realistic. Then I saw it was your setup lol absolutely remarkable man!
Love the idea. A galvanised round nail really isn't the best object to hold with a magnet.
You want a soft iron flat plate like you find in cheap magnetic latches.
You will be able to hold the switch with much less power. A longer lever helps too.
Dude, the evolution of your pit is amazing. It’s a shame you don’t have the front window frames, but I understand the issue. Great stuff!
That cockpit is outstanding, where there is a will there is a way
Man....i thought "I" was a huge Hog fan. You're on a whole other level 😲
Very nice work. Very impressive 🤟🏻
Holy SHIT this is cool!!! I've seen a few homemade setups, for 16s and 18s and the like, but never an A10...and this looks on par with like official military setups. Great stuff man, I'll be sure to catch you on Twitch!!!
So sick mate!🇦🇺🤯🤯🇦🇺
that's a sexy set up dude, good job
now we just needed better consumer augmented reality headsets to replace the projectors and occluded the warthog you built and then it will really look like you're flying.
I think something like Tilt 5 would be perfect for cockpit builders.
@@VR_Aviator As soon as my KS gear shows up, I'll know. :) The original CastAR was almost good enough. I do think that true passthrough VR/AR with a chromakey based composited scene is the way to go for folks with real cockpits.
Exactly like this m.ua-cam.com/video/F4yKM_FgMOE/v-deo.html
I believe Varjo is waiting for support from DCS for the masking tool, that it's perfectly smooth. Or is it already implemented?
The issue with passthrough though is that you will always be hindered by the limitations of the headset. FOV for example.
@@VR_Aviator naaah Fov will be solved easily one's pc's are faster. Varjo has not the largest fov but the best sweet spot, so basically it's feels bigger then most headsets with wider fov. You also see way more then with three projectors because you can actually look around and behind.
Mate, you get a LIKE just for the bar fridge in the corner 🤣
If you can go to the wreckers for some seat belts, but that's if they allow you to cut some off.
I loved it when you said that VR is the future! very true and I agree with you! ;)
Awesome!!! Love it would love to have it !!!
You’re so cool. I mean that in the most sincere way possible. I’m so jealous
In a perfect world, an A10 pilot would be on TDY in your neck of the woods and you guys meet (in the beer section) and he decides to come over for a whirl. 😂 congrats on your 3080Ti!
Very nice !
1:01 the mirrors are to check your six for the next beer from your SO.
now the only thing left is to mount your entire setup onto a cage so you can roll the entire thing in any direction and get the harness so it can go upside down. may need to get crafty on ways to hold on to the beer. XD
Awesome!
Awesome and fantastic come nowhere near to how good that is. 👍👍
ahaha that intro, putting the corona bottle on the "dash"😂
I’ve the Constellation Alpha and it comes with I believe 3 different cams, and yes it will take that play out due to your extension! I love my new VPC Alpha, it’s there new with Z Axis
A lot of the visuals are wasted with VR, but you’ll gain the helmet mounted targeting system which is huge.
He could do that even better and go with AR!!!
Hey mate nice work!
maybe put a fog machine behind the projectors and have it turn on with white leds when you're flying over and through clouds
cool but the only problem is that the fog doesn't clear immediately. Going from heavy clouds to clear skies would be weird
@@dennyrulos4847 add a massive vacuum system hahahah
put hydraulic moving to your simulator.....so when the plane turns so does your whole cockpit
that seat cushion really tells a tale of exciting flights of the past.
Looking really really good man! Any plans on integrating the HMD some way? With some hololens maybe?
Never heard anybody apologise for the content of their bar fridge 😂😂👍
Missed ya mate! 👍🏼
Holy shit dude!
I love that you can DIY such a killer Sim rig and it really doesn't require a ton of money. I highly prefer the wrap screen over VR and the setup here is phenomenal. You definitely needed that 3080, wasn't any way to avoid it with such a large image
Nice Rig man
remote controlled warthog for the future
Only things I can see that's missing is a pair of turbo fan engines and an Avenger cannon. Still amazed every time I come across this channel.
Phenomenal. I simmers dream come true.
have a look at cockpit / body movement - linear motors or hydraulics - sensation of movement etc. That would be awesome
Apparently motion platforms are more trouble than they're worth.
I think it would be cool if you could manage a way to get the helmet hud to work with this set up too
Evert Warthog should have a beer fridge.
motion platform? How about that for an upgrade mate? Great vid as ever - thanks.
For the display rounds, maybe make links and connect them facing horizontal on the wall/plaque.
Add full-sim haptic feedback so when the gun fires, the whole sim body recoils :-)
Always enjoy watching your videos! What servers do you usually fly on?
I Play this with the A-10C in my Pavilion laptop 💻 but I feel I am in this set..👍🦅☝️
Yeah mate I can't unsee what you had in your fridge I'm afraid ;). Congrats on the 3080TI, that's a huge performance leap!
Don't judge me man. I'm powering through it all to clear space. It's just the worst.
I absolutely love the updates that you made! I recently bought a new gaming rig and it came with the RTX3060...holy crap what a difference! And for the first time, I got to play DCS with the A10 in VR.....Lifelong dream achieved! I may have mentioned this in other posts, but the A10 is my favorite aircraft. The 127th Wing is based out of Selfridge ANG Base about 15 minutes from my house. They fly every weekend and it is just amazing. I would love to duplicate your rig one day. About 30 years back I built a makeshift sit-in arcade cabinet for my Commodore 64 and had built-in speakers and everything. I flew F-15 Strike Eagle and Skyfox all the time in it. It was simply amazing back then. Keep up the great work. Are you on social media? I looked you up on FB but didn't see a page. Take care!
Instead of the beer maybe you should carry a Red Bull. When that SAM hit you could have taken a sip and recovered because Red Bull gives you wiings!
Put a monitor showing a flipped rear view so the mirrors can reflect it, then they will be useful AND look cool. VR is a neat bit of tech, but nowhere near ready to replace physical pits for a while to come.
I just wan't to say thank you for raiding my twitch channel a few days ago, apologies that it was a rerun but I'm recovering from a shoulder injury so not able to fly for a few. Enjoy your content and thanks again.
That is truly an epic simulator, great job
Genius.
How do you set up custom cockpit cameras? (not snap views) Awesome vídeo dude!!
I'm building 3 6 DOF A10C electrical simulators. Lots of work and taking breaks. It's going to be awesome.
You could add the "frame" in thr middle of the canopy, make it a bit more realistic
This may have been mentioned before, but do you also have a seat vibration build added to it for the extra immersion? Outside of putting the entire thing on a moving frame, it seems you've pretty much made yourself a military-grade cockpit at home!
He does have a ButtKicker Gamer 2 under the seat.
Very cool. The only thing left would be placing it on a 6 axis chair.
"oh shoot I forgot I was flying" almost spat my coffee
I am glad you are committed to the accuracy of the A-10 cockpit by having the mini-fridge; you do NOT want to have to go clear to the kitchen, right?
in the next upgrade you should add wings and and engine, and fly it irl
fuk this is awesome mate
Amazing upgrades. Would this system also be able to work with MSFS2020? Just to see how it looks. :)
Nice fridge ;)
Your missus must be a saint
So once the new upgraded A-10s are made public are you going to build a cockpit for them..?
You should make the Hud cam functional, you could also make the gauges actual gauges
OMG I want this!!!!!!!
That looks absolutely awesome! Have you looked into any sort of haptics for the sim, like transducers for vibrations? This thing definitely deserves something like that!
It's already got a transducer mounted in the seat. It's on a separate sound card and run using simshaker software. It's epic!
@@thewarthogproject WOW now you need more!!! XD
A no shit, VR HCMS. Helmet with the HMCS projected on the eye piece. if you just need to keep cracking
Is there a way you can make the projectors like a dome so you could look up? like attach a projector to the top of the canopy bow or something?
