Tom, Please extend our gratitude to Charlie for enthusiastically sharing his fantastic collection with us. This is a great way to start a mid-winter morning.👏👏👏
At last a guy that has a collection that isn't rotting away in a field. I like that all of them are runners and not trailer queens. This is the kind of collection you can take out on the road and really enjoy owning instead of just staring at like museum pieces.
Could be the coolest episode yet! Charlie is an amazing guy, his passion and knowledge are infectious! My old man was a Pontiac guy, bought a new one every four or five years, beginning in 1950. Thanks Tom and crew for what you do.
I "rescued" a '67 Travelall from a small town near me and put some work in to get it running and stopping. A 304 V8, Auto, 4x4 with the factory AC upgrade and a build sheet to show it was a true survivor. Same Apache Gold that this gentleman's is. Sold it to a local guy who was going to finish restoring it and drive it. So incredible how stout that 304 is and how darn good it ran even after sitting for over two decades.
Yeah, a Pontiac story! I also had a 77 Can Am. The scoop on the hood has "T/A 6.6" which is the Pontiac 400 motor. If the scoop has "6.6 litre", it is the 403 Oldsmobile motor (which you had to get in California).
What a great episode ! I’m a Brit, so the only vehicle I recognised was the Fiat, but Charlie’s love for the collection clear. I guess you could have done another episode just on the memorabilia!
Hay Tom, tell Charlie thanks for keeping all those Pontiacs and Internationals alive and well. And take care of yourself. Ps. And i miss Oldsmobile too.
This guy has an amazing collection! I could spend days looking at all his vehicles, signs, and auto memorabilia. He was so gracious in enthusiastically sharing it all with us. Car people truly are the best people you will ever meet. Thank you so much!
I really enjoyed this video. Many vehicles I can relate to, and the owner is one of the nicest you have ever shown. I could tell you enjoyed your time there. I always liked International trucks, and Pontiac's myself. The 1965 and 1966 GTO's were my favorites.
I was little when my grandpa died. He was a trucker, and he had an International Scout II. I grew up to be a truck driver too. My favorite thing I ever drove was a 1977 International with a Detroit 318 and twin sticks.
Charlie is the real deal. The cars are great - and Charlie's stories BEHIND the stores are fascinating. At about 13:30, I could see a teal blue SunBIRD (convertible?) just in left of frame. I had a 1998 SunFIRE convertible - same blue, white top. I drove it 16 years, and I still miss it.
Tom, always enjoy your videos. Wish you could have spent a couple of minutes discussing the yellow, '88 Fiero GT with "factory" T-tops, of which only about 12 with 5-speed were built.
I never get tired of seeing people’s collections. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but they’re all uniquely cool. Thanks for the video-keep hunting!
Love the Pontiacs , beautiful collection. I drove a cab over international delivering to furniture plants in the southeast. Could get that baby into all the tight spots! Would scare people thinking I was swinging close at intersections. Great trucks.
Superb loved every second of this episode👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks Hagerty & Tom, & Special Thanks to Charlie for sharing his collection with us car's enthusiasts😍😍😍 Stay Safe Guy's👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for making and sharing this video with us. I truly love these old classic cars and so thankful we have car clubs all over this country. At the end of the video when you both were talking about the older gentleman passing away and he said the man and his wife used that old truck on their first date, it brung tears to my eyes because i know how that is, it's True Love. Then shortly after he passes away. But before he passed he found another car guy or the perfect guy to cherish his baby before he left to the big car/truck garage in the sky. Share the Love, Love is the glue that holds everything together in our Universe. Ive said that for so many years an its catching on finally.
Charlie is another example of what it is to be a good *steward* of old cars. Tom is correct - "car guys" just hit it off from the get-go, no matter the locale or brand loyalties. I love the accent, makes me want to have some "lobstah" too. 🙂 Tom and Davin continue to be the best Hagerty has to offer. Love both of their work. - Ed on the Ridge
Amen! After seeing several hoarders treating old cars so badly, Charlie's an absolute gem! Treats them well if they ain't being driven regularly, but mostly drives and enjoys them. Bravo to this guy!
Tom, I have said this quite a few time over the past few episodes, but just an epic video! They just get better and better. Please, please keep finding these guys (car nuts!) and showing their passion to us car nuts! Thank you for what you do!
I'm a Maine native, and I strongly suspect that I have run into Charlie and maybe several of his friends. Very cool episode, congrats of finding the good stuff Tom.
Wow. That was fun! And what a nice guy Charlie is. I turn 41 in a month & a half and, with four kids under 10 at home don’t really have the time or cash to start building a car collection right now. When the kids are grown & I’m in my 60’s I want to be like this guy - friendly, real and just having fun with his passion for classic cars & trucks. Great stuff as always, Tom!
Amazin collection of vechiles, tks Charlie&Tom, I worked in ft Wayne right close too IH ,knew many of friends that owned IH's, luv all the stories behind each one's journey too present.motorheads for life no matter where u go..😎✌️👍
Great episode Tom! Pontiac is so often overlooked. You should make your way to Portland Oregon. We don't salt the roads and all over the city are cool old cars. Love to shake your hand
Watching from the UK, haven't missed a video so far. What a great find. Great enthusiastic owner, a really articulate story teller with a fantastic collection, and Tom makes the show!!!!
You skipped the Sunbird! That was my first car. My grandpa and his brothers all ran Internationals on their farms up in Northern Maine. Wish I had some of them. They had a family junk yard that I loved to play in. My goal is to have an old international harvester like the farms used.
Charlie is so damn cool. Thanks so much for sharing your collection with us. Finally - not a hoarder - a collector - and so darn interesting his collection is.
All the cars were amazing but the International Transtar was the one that caught my eye. I loved to lines of that truck. It was a nice truck to drive, quiet interior, and with a 350 cummins engine, it was able to keep up on the highway.
That was pretty cool. As I'm a car guy too, worked at Coggin Pontiac in Durham NC when I was 16 yrs old , I co chaired the Homecoming parade and organized the cars for the Homecoming Court at Durham High School my senior yr. I had a '73 Can Am in the lineup. It didn't have the shaker hood, had a 400 in it with an automatic. It was very different and it was the only non convertible car for the Homecoming court.
hey! someone else from Maine, though i'm up in the county id love to meet him one day at a car show or something when i finally finish my 83 VW Vanagon Westfalia.
2 thoughts... 1.) That Signal Truck once he eased on the choke and adjusted the timing...smoothed right out perfectly... 2.) We had a 18' Grumman canoe growing up...late 60's/early 70's...wanted to polish it up...but...my Dad said "Why?..It's a canoe.." Fantastic Upload!..Pontiacs and I-Harvesters...Who Knew? 👍
While watching this I saw the S&H Green Stamps banner which instantly took me back to sitting at the dinner table and pasting those stamps into the booklet that Mom would redeem for the things that you could get for whatever number of stamps you had. I have not thought about that for over a half century.
it always raises the question for me of how do these guys afford all this...i have cars and toys but nothing like this...and the time to go to all these places and talk to these people.unreal
This was great for me to watch. That man's Scottish Brogue dropping off after every sentence is a dead giveaway for a Mainer. I lived & worked along the coast of Maine during the mid to late '90s as a traveling Operating Room Nurse. I lived in Portland on Hollis Road about a mile and a half from Maine Medical Center on Bramhall. Probably the best three years of my life as Maine will always be my favorite state. But without question, the kindest, nicest, and friendliest people I ever met were from the Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont corridor across northern New England. I never even once ran across a mean or nasty person. I'm retired now but I'd love to come back to Portland one more time for 4 or 5 days. Just a great city in a great state with great people.
Tom, Please extend our gratitude to Charlie for enthusiastically sharing his fantastic collection with us. This is a great way to start a mid-winter morning.👏👏👏
That was awesome eh
I concur. Seeing all these Pontiacs made my day.
I agree
Charlie knows his history and has a passion for his collection. Great guy to stumble across.
When he started that flatbed, I laughed so hard, with gratitude and happiness. Love your collection thanks for letting us see it. Love it!
This guy was an absolute pleasure to watch.
A guy that drives what he has.
Not rotting away.
This guy is a gem
What an amazing collection and many thanks to Charlie for sharing. As always Tom thank you for finding them and sharing.
Born and raised here in New Hampshire, always neat when our little state gets mentioned. Nice to see stuff like this close to home
Isn't it funny?
That feeling of pride and community one feels when our little part of this world is referred to?!!!
I "rescued" a '67 Travelall from a small town near me and put some work in to get it running and stopping. Sold it to a local guy who was going to finish restoring it and drive it. So incredible how stout that 304 is and how darn good it ran even after sitting for over two decades.
It's so true that car people are friends almost instantly. Thanks Tom👍
What a great guy. He could certainly host a show with his personality and gift of gab. Thanks Tom.
Yeah, a Pontiac story! I also had a 77 Can Am. The scoop on the hood has "T/A 6.6" which is the Pontiac 400 motor. If the scoop has "6.6 litre", it is the 403 Oldsmobile motor (which you had to get in California).

Talks about each car like it’s one of his kids. Great stories behind each one.
Hay Tom, tell Charlie thanks for keeping all those Pontiacs and Internationals alive and well. And take care of yourself. Ps. And i miss Oldsmobile too.
Very eclectic collection there,Charlie! Thanks for sharing it with us and thanks Tom.
What a great guy
Excellent collection & Love the owner! Thanks Tom.
Guy is smart to focus on specific models like Pontiac and IH. Keeps your perspective
Great video of a great collection. Thanks to Charlie and to you Tom for continuing to bring to us these wonderful collections.

Wow… what a great episode. Thanks Charlie for the awesome tour.!
What a collection but that signal starting up like that with one crank is so satisfying. Love it
I was little when my grandpa died. He was a trucker, and he had an International Scout II. I grew up to be a truck driver too. My favorite thing I ever drove was a 1977 International with a Detroit 318 and twin sticks.
Tom is a National Treasure. The country club story was classic.
Tom telling the story of his first burnout seems very special
Charlie is the real deal. The cars are great - and Charlie's stories BEHIND the stores are fascinating. At about 13:30, I could see a teal blue SunBIRD (convertible?) just in left of frame. I had a 1998 SunFIRE convertible - same blue, white top. I drove it 16 years, and I still miss it.

Born and raised in Maine until 23 yrs old. Now in NH.
The accent. That man is a Mainer. Cahhhh. Lolol. Love it.
Sounds just like the cast on Main cabin masters.
@@kenpeterson327 my fiancee and i are watching that rn. We do like that its got real mainers
That Scottish Brogue dropping off at the end of every sentence is a dead giveaway for a native Mainer.
Can't believe seeing that Signal start right up almost brought a tear of joy to my eye.
Wow, thanks for sharing, Charlie!

1970's Cabover "Combine" with a Detroit Diesel and a 13 spd was one of the 1st big trucks I drove.
Superb loved every second of this episode👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Hagerty & Tom, & Special Thanks to Charlie for sharing his collection with us car's enthusiasts😍😍😍
Stay Safe Guy's👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Pontiac liked their tents apparently, remember they also had the optional tent with thier aztec
I had friends with an Aztec - NH License plate "I-Sore" I'd add one to the collection....
@@CharlieHuntington-qf1sv im surprised he didnt have 1 in his collection
Tom, I have said this quite a few time over the past few episodes, but just an epic video! They just get better and better. Please, please keep finding these guys (car nuts!) and showing their passion to us car nuts! Thank you for what you do!
In Augusta, Maine, yes saaaw!

Between the location and the signs and the cars Charlie has; this was a delightful episode!
What a great collection and even better stories.
The smile on his face says it all!
Wow what a guy, he is definitely the man for those clubs! What a legend... I could look at that collection and dig into them all day!
What a passion that man has. This is a great episode Tom.
My favorite minutes on UA-cam are watching Barn Find Hunter!
Wow. That was fun! And what a nice guy Charlie is. I turn 41 in a month & a half and, with four kids under 10 at home don’t really have the time or cash to start building a car collection right now. Great show!
Awesome collection and what a great guy Charlie is for showing you his cars.
Great episode Tom, thanks for that.. some lovely cars and Charlie is great. 🙂
Charlie is a great guy. We are in the ATHS - Pine Tree Chapter together and his enthusiasm for old vehicles is top notch.
What an amazing collection and thanks to Charlie for sharing and showing all his vehicles. I have several favorites I wouldn't mind owning.
Great episode Tom! Pontiac is so often overlooked. You should make your way to Portland Oregon. We don't salt the roads and all over the city are cool old cars.

The stories,oh,the stories behind a lot of 'em cars & tracks!!!
Thanks for sharing Tom and Charlie...amazing collection.
Watching from the UK, haven't missed a video so far. What a great find. Great enthusiastic owner, a really articulate story teller with a fantastic collection, and Tom makes the show!!!!
What a nice man Charlie is. Also he is very astute and knows where to look.
International Harverster trucks are cool. I've had a few. Currently own a 1967 travelall panel truck.
You skipped the Sunbird! That was my first car. My grandpa and his brothers all ran Internationals on their farms up in Northern Maine. Wish I had some of them. They had a family junk yard that I loved to play in. My goal is to have an old international harvester like the farms used.

Thanks
Great video. I love his collection. That old Budweiser truck is a real find. He has a great collection. Thanks.
Absolutely love this series. Tom knows so much!
My first car was the 77 Firebird, then bought a 67 GTO convertible a few years later. Wonderful times.

Thanks for sharing, i love seeing the GMC on tracks an the international cab over is amazing :)
These episodes just keep getting better 🤌
Very cool. I still have an 04 Pontiac Vibe with 217,000 miles on it. Runs perfectly.
Mine is a 2005 and it runs as well as the day it left the factory.
Amazing collection!!!

Tom, That was a fantastic video !
Would’ve liked to have seen the Fiero and Sunbird.
If you're ever in Maine - look me up!
MAN. This guys knowledge is just astounding
I could sit a drink beers with Charle all day and talk shop, what a cool guy
Neighbor rented garages in 50...60s and she drove 52. Pontiac. With the lighted hood to a 8yr old that was magic. Seeing it come up a dark driveway
