    I always find myself obsessing over why people do the things they do. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt but once I found out they are toxic, I have no problem NEVER speaking to them again. It sounds rude but this is just how I am. I refuse to get fooled by covert demons.

      I get you man. No time to waste on the fakes. But for some reason, I can only do it to people who are directly toxic. It takes me forever to convince myself that someone is toxic if they do it discreetly

      Bruh..... What about feeling like crap after? WHEN they consistently tell you your the problem? Its projection but why? Lol but once im gone im waaaaaaaay gone. It takes me a second to bounce and build walls up for strangers. Romantically..... Catastrophically everytime ignoring the redflags cuz i decided to let them be "human".

    Our biggest gift as INFJs = being able to connect "puzzle pieces" that don't seem to connect at all. I've only just realized, maybe in the last 5 years, that not everyone is able to do this. You did a great job of connecting the pieces in this video. Thank you, and, as always, keep up the great work!

      That's that horrible Ni-Ti loop. I find that getting answers, and engaging that Fe as often as possible does the trick. Anything meditative - a hobby like cooking or playing music - can often pull you into a space where you are depending less on all of that over thinking and more on being in a moment.

      I find creatively manifesting what I think about helps. I creat pictures stories gives me a realise. It like my thoughts creates energy that I need to engage with and therefore release. This energy engages my playful side. Therefore, it think of it as different sides of me trying to communicate... like Me Myself and I. They want their perspective to have time in the forefront or even to cooperate to bring forth possibilities😊😍

      Depression crippled me at work yesterday so I wrote a song about what I was feeling and did not stop until I was done. I made myself late for an appointment in the process but I no longer felt crushed by it. Granted, I was still depressed for the remainder of the day but I had more control over myself than depression had over me at the onset.

    I have to say 99% of the day I’m literally in my own world my thoughts are my world essentially. And I’m pursuing goals that are way above me like no college education just a high school diploma some good ideas and self education. And a feeling heart. Your vision is so real in your mind but actually making it manifest being the tool of creation is so difficult because you’d see everything you need to do you just don’t know how to do it. It’s like I don’t know how to ask for help, or I don’t know what type of help I actually need

    • @DavidBadurina

    David, I needed this video very much. I have always been very happy to be an INFJ. I feel very comfortable being the cheerleader, the appreciative audience, the one who can shine the light on things that many people don't even notice. However, a few months ago on his birthday, my husband went into the kitchen and I didn't hear him so, I went in after him. I found him on his knees and he couldn't stand up. I laid him on the kitchen floor and I said, I love you. I didn't know what was happening. His eyes were huge and blue and he mouthed, I love... and, he died. My whole world ended in a second without warning. For some reason, my family cannot take strong emotion so, from that day forward I have been left alone to mourn by myself. To tell you the truth, after two months of being in shock, I went where I feel the safest. I went into my mind. All my life, I was the one that was watching everyone so that I could make sure no one was sad and I could alarm everyone if there was danger. If someone was eating at the table and they picked up their glass and noticed it was empty and set it back down, I noticed. I knew they were thirsty so, I got up and got them something. No one had to ask me for something they needed most of the time. Now, I am an INFJ and an empath who is all alone. My healing is so slow. The most painful part is not having my husband to love. I have never been materialistic but, the things that I always want are the things that money cannot buy. My husband and I had spent 23 years together talking and sharing and having adventures. I only needed someone to feel safe enough to go out into the world and then everything fell into place. What a gift to be loved by someone exactly as you are and to love them back the same way. And yet, we both wanted to be better people for each other. I've only been starting to cry for the last 2 weeks. I am creating my reality one second at a time. The house is silent now because I canceled the cable and I don't miss it. I miss the soul of my husband that I could feel from anywhere in this house. The stillness was eating me up. My question is how does an INFJ who is housebound and never learned to drive ever going to feel Joy again? I'll let you know one day if I ever figure it out. I lost the most precious gift of knowing and being known. God bless you and your monster. Sincerely, Carly 💜

    • @DavidBadurina
      @DavidBadurina  4 роки тому +4

      Carly ...
      I'm in tears. I'm so sorry for your loss, and for all of the complex emotions, thoughts, feelings, and memories that happen as a result. Please know that I feel you right now and my heart goes out to you. Truly.
      I don't know that there's any piece of advice that I could possibly give you that would help. I can only speak from the experience of losing my brother suddenly last year.
      Do the things that would bring HIM joy to know that you are doing, and even though his presence may not be there, it does feel a little bit like he's there with you during those things. He would want you happy. My brother wanted me to succeed, wanted me to do the things I felt were important, even if the ideas were grand and seemingly ridiculous. Doing those things now and having that purpose to find some joy while being unable to tell him about it really do keep me going because I can imagine how crazy he'd react if I could talk to him on the phone.
      Small things. Small things outside, on a walk, all the little things you can notice as joyous and full of life.
      I wish I had a better answer, I truly do. Sending you ALL the love my sweet INFJ friend.

    • @simplyme7821
      @simplyme7821 4 роки тому

      @@DavidBadurina David, your answer was beautiful. You know how much us INFJs crave intimacy with people that understand us. Your brother surely knows what you are doing and he is right there cheering you on. My mark taught me everything I needed to know about living after being abused by a narcissist for years. The Narcissist told me I was too ugly to go outside and he used me up as I gave him all the love and power and strength I had in me. Mark was there when I ordered my first cup of coffee shaking at 34 years old. He said I was so beautiful it took his breath away. He told me I was plenty good enough. It took me years to believe him. I will not forget what he told me. I pray that God gives me the opportunity to help someone in my life because to me giving is receiving. Your unique ability to communicate not only the subject but the deep feelings behind it are an awesome gift. Please, you are needed at this time to help us to stay together and not go off into dark corners all alone to lick wounds that will never heal. Everything brought into the light will heal but sometimes it takes a friend or an acquaintance just to witness your journey. I will be watching yours. Sincerely, Carly

    Yes exactly! Often when I have a problem I need to solve; I wait a few days and my Ni just kinda ties things together and bam! I suddenly know what I have to do. There's a lot of 'aha' moments. And then Ti is there to make a concrete plan for it. And great message at the end. It amazes me when I have an image in my mind and I manage to replicate it in a drawing and then it's there for everyone to see.

As an INFJ-T, I'm often very trapped in an Fe/Se loop where I feel very afraid and experience intense performance anxiety when it comes time to 'producing' anything. I just recently found out about MBTI and I've tried many online tests. I found out that tests aren't enough and that you should know about these cognitive function stacks to understand better. I read so many articles and I have also watched videos on youtube with a duration of almost an hour. To be perfecly honest, I didn't seem to clearly understand anything at all. I have always thought that maybe I need a specific happening or example which I could relate with in order to further understand the functions and this video is a very great help. This is just what I am looking for, plus it's hardly even half an hour. This is great, sir. Thank you!

    First name that came to mind is Frank! Not sure why but there it is. You nailed it bro!! I was actually nervous to watch this because I had doubts I wouldn't be this mental process type. I feel like this is a type that can really help people and I didn't want to see that I didn't have that. I love helping people and love that you described it perfectly, that is me also. I dont have many people that can relate to this so thank you for being that outlet, it means the world! Keep it up, buttercup.

    INFJ-T, recently discovered what I am. :D I wasn't planning to write anything under this video, but this resonates with something that I have experienced. I am a writer, too. When I finished my first novel and it got published, I held the paper copy in my hands - this is exactly what I felt. That is a story and characters that existed in my head and now - there is the physical manifestation of them in real life! People will read it, get influenced by it, live with those fictional people, who have emotions and flows and go through difficult moments, just as real people. Everyone is going to take a lesson from the story that is relevant for their life! This is so cool! All of this initially was created in my own mind - just as this green monster started its existence in a dream! :)

    As an ISFP that has frequent visions I am currently trying to manifest them as artwork into a book that may be able to help others. It seems at times I have tendencies toward an INFJ thinking process. When you mentioned," what are some of your hang ups?".....I would have to say that I have a tendency to need the artwork to be in "perfect presentation mode" rather than just allowing myself the grace to just share it in the form of some rougher sketches. I overthink my pieces/artwork to the point that I paralyze myself to take action and don't complete them.

    Call it Captain Kerf.
    This video is pretty spot on. I'm in a scenario where I'm trying to realize a goal (make a game to tell a heartfelt story that people enjoy), but I know the SE requirements are massive (learning to make quality art assets en mass). I've been making deliberate efforts to improve my art over the years, and have had some measurable progress. Still, I just can't help but worry that my deficient SE is making this much harder, and mechanically rendering my ideas is somewhat draining. Is it more difficult for an INFJ to be a skilled artist than other types? I heard that stronger SE helps people notice and render details more effectively.

    • @DavidBadurina
      @DavidBadurina  4 роки тому +4

      Captain Kerf is a great suggestion!
      And this is a REALLY thought-provoking comment! I'm not sure if I can really add anything to it. I think as art is expression that perhaps fine detail isn't something that's as natural as pure in-the-moment expression.
      Whenever I found that I wanted to accomplish something similarly, I'd work with someone else on it. I have a good INTJ friend who is fantastic at detail and direction and he and I worked so very well together. I'd concentrate on the interpersonal relationships and broad vision, he could make it happen. Perhaps all you need is another set of eyes!
      Best of luck to you, I appreciate you!

    • @silva-schattensang
      @silva-schattensang 4 роки тому +2

      I think that Se in the 4th position doesn't mean you have to be less skilled in artistic work than Se - dominants. I think they just have an easier time to be good at several Se - related disciplines cause they have more energy for being in the here and now with all their senses. It's just this perfectionism getting in our way. Our visions are so wonderful - reality just can't measure up. We have to accept that. Art is never all about Se and aesthetics. It's also about seeing things and sending a message out there. And it's about emotions and sharing something with others. There's a lot to contribute for Ni and Fe. 🙃 I'm a musician and I might be light-years away from being a guitar hero. I may never be able to sing the Queen of the night. But when people hear me, they fall silent and listen. Whenever there's something in the emotions and messages I express that resonates with them. We don't need to be perfect. We just need to be what we are.

    Once I was messaging with a girl who always let the message as "delivered" and remained active. And there my 5 hours of overanalyzing stuff began. From "Is she ignoring me?" to "Does she have someone else hitting her up?" and "I think she only gives me time to think" and "She might kissing somewhere with her boyfriend, leaving me as a sidekick" .. pretty much we just met few times at school .. and so I practically dragged my confidence down and I was just "I can't blame her for ruining my day - she hasn't done anything!" so I asked "Wanna hang out tonight?". When she finally replied (at 8 pm) "Sorry, I don't have time", there my night full of suspicious thoughts started off. Luckily I am out of that and I always force myself to end overthinking stuff so much by doing different activity.

    It's just what popped out at me.
    I'm in the middle (literally, 30-something minutes of a 1:03 video) of editing my lecture on a specific instance of palaeographical history. Your video described the kinds of thoughts I've been having about the elements of this video. It's huge work, but I keep thinking about how it will help people to know the history. I see where I went off topic, and I think about how editing that out will keep them on-topic. I see where I talked vaguely about subjects that weren't part of the main text, and I thought of throwing in images of the actual information and putting data, quotes and credits to aid the viewer now (and not have them wait for another video to describe it). And watching you make that very creative monster seriously encouraged me, though tired and at home, to keep it up. I really want the video out this weekend; and somehow your engaging ways got me revved up to get back going again! Thank you, David!

    His name is Bubba. A simple ole guy that may seem scary but in reality is a gentle giant.
    I needed to hear this one.

    Another great video ( as always)...though I missed your quote board ( hehe). Iv'e named your little critter Ddiva ( an anagram of your name obviously lol ). There's a lady in Delaware who makes adorable happy, fuzzy monster books for kids . I can't wait to purchase your book ( no hurry ). Cheers from Aus :)

      Thanks 🤩👍🏻 This really helped me to understand my INFJ brain and I feel totally supported and understood by you and your vids. Keep up the good work! 👽👾👹👻

    I've typed myself as a INFJ (notice I typed "myself" ahahaha, so disregard if i'm way off the mark". I love this example because it feels similar to how I make and shape my goals. Ni is my conceptualized goal, Fe is me trying gauge how my "tribe" would feel about this goal being accomplished, Ti would be feel similar to me finding facts and support in reaching that goal and Se (sadly my hardest function) would be to actual start to work on the first steps of my goal in the present day. For example, I'll have the goal of changing jobs, I'll guage how it would make my family/friends feel, I'll then give supporting facts of why I should do such a thing and then have a rough time starting the process of moving towards that goal.
