  • An interview with Michael Hodge on Pelvic pain and Mens Sexual dysfunction.
    This video is a bit of a departure from normal.
    Today I am interviewing another mindbody coach who has a particular specialty of mens sexual health and pelvic pain.
    We will be discussing the topics of mens sexual dysfunction (Premature ejaculation and Erectile dysfunction) from 23 minutes in to the 39 minute mark. If you don't wish to hear that discussion, you can skip this video entirely or fast forward once you get to minute 23 to minute 39.
    Regardless, there were some very relevant topics for TMS/PDP in general, so it's worth a listen. Whether you are a man or woman, the topics are quite interesting. Enjoy

    Michael and Dan have done more to help me heal over the past year+ than any medical or pharmaceutical remedy I tried. While my CPPS is not completely gone, the advice of these 2 guys has helped me feel better every month. Setbacks are decreasing. I am thrilled to see the 2 of them together in the same video. For those of you with any kind of chronic pelvic pain, don't lose hope!

    I never had pelvic pain and all of these issues for 4 years. They are a distraction from the root cause, and it is ALL THE SAME THING. I had a terrified brain and nervous system after a series of traumatic events subsequently misdiagnosed in the medical community several times.
    My recovery from this finally began after a series of bizarre events most notably getting sick for the first time in years and finally having a moment where I realized the difference between structural and non structural symptoms, even though I had fully accepted this as TMS, but I realized the TMS process is diametrically opposite to what I was doing on a daily basis.
    I guess im glad that influencers in this space are finally coming around to this work, took a while.
    Stop trying to fix the body, stop trying to fix this problem. Resume your life. There are no tools (they are distractions as well)

      So glad that you are better David!! It is clear that you see the unreality behind TMS symptoms. I do offer tools as a way to climb out of the dark hole, to embody the truth, but not necessarily as the "only answer." You are the only answer, as it always is, with a dark knight of the soul journey.

      @@TransformPelvicHealth I already bought your tools years ago they only perpetuated the problem but thanks for your support. As you said the dark knight of the soul journey. There are no tools that exist to shift each individuals awareness to their own emotional worlds.

    I ran into Michael Hodge’s stretches at the beginning of my journey last year before he was into MBS/TMS/PDP. Then got into Nicole’s journal speak and then finally all of your content. The mixture of the three of you has literally saved me. I’ll be a success story soon enough! Thank you for all your content, Dan. May God always be in your favor.

    Excellent interview. What I heard is, sometimes not only do we need to “feel our emotions” to get better, we may also need to “deal with emotions” to get better. Mind body symptoms may be sending us a message to get us to deal with emotions.

    I have tried every anxiety program. Now I see the problem. All of those programs assume you are broken and focusing on it makes it worse. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over. Anxiety is not bad, it is good.

    Hey Dan, my twitches, arrhythmias, insomnia and nausea have really flared in the last few days. I can’t even stand and walk about, I was okay for months, heartbeat was steady as a rock. I was recovering, eating all the junk I want, doing what I want, and felt amazing.
    Why is it that when I take supplements, eat healthy, and do all the “right” things, I seem to spiral and worsen. Is it my brain perceiving a negative response from the supplements, thus throwing off my nervous system??

    • @amelielegault8318
      @amelielegault8318 3 місяці тому +1

      I am the same. I think it’s because something in me feels I am putting pressure on myself when I do all the « right » things, mostly if I already put pressure on myself in other parts of my life, like work. Cannot try to be perfect everywhere. It’s too much. At least, for me.

    • @paxtonjohnson3696
      @paxtonjohnson3696 3 місяці тому

      This happens to me as well. I think it comes down to the “why.”
      When we are eating healthier and taking the supplements are we doing it because we are trying to “fix” something or because we just want to be healthier.
      The act of “fixing” will also keep us stuck. The act of “fixing” is telling our brains there’s still a problem.
      All about the approach.

    • @Bait1official
      @Bait1official 3 місяці тому

      @@paxtonjohnson3696 I think this speaks volumes. It’s the WHY. In my case, I’m trying to FIX myself, and that, in itself, is showing the brain I’m in danger. Makes perfect sense from a TMS standpoint!
      It’s so debilitating. I never had all this before covid, now I’m bed ridden with no bodily disease, but I have very REAL symptoms!

    I got hard flaccid/cpps... And I have the same disfunction with or without a partner. It's better to quit all sexual activity because it's not safe... It fires up the fight/flight... And tightens the pf muscles. Only if it feels good for you you must continue sexual activity... But everytime you fail, you take another blow to the sub/councious... Hard flaccid/cpps: erectile dyfunction/rubber feeling, sensitivity loss, etc...do you think it's safe to stay sexual active then.. I think not.

    • @moneygetten
      @moneygetten 3 місяці тому +1

      After 3 years hf/cpps I got fibromalgia like symptoms... I always knew it was the same thing. It started after a physical trigger... And when the hf/cpps started... Your brain is telling you: stop doing dangerous stuff down there... So my take: quit sexual activity... It's not safe

    • @moneygetten
      @moneygetten 3 місяці тому +1

      If your sexual problems are only with partners... It's a self-esteem issue... But this is neuroplastic... It shutted down sexual responses for a reason. A protection mechanism...keep trying with dysfunction just sends you down the rabbit hole.

      I think like Michael said: take the inner pressure away and go slowly.. don’t tell yourself/ your brain that sex is dangerous for you. It isn’t. It feels like that now.
      Safety in the nervous system will eventually regulate the so called dysfunction and pain.
      All the best with your healing ❤️‍🩹

      I know how hard it can be. Shift to presence, pleasure, and connection moreso than perceiving an exact type of intercourse right now. Make it about love, as you look within and let go of the root causes. I'm here to help if you need more.

    • @Moonless6491
      @Moonless6491 3 місяці тому +2

      The stretches are a way to help relax your body so you can relax your mind. Ultimately, it's about the mind but sometimes movement can help the mind feel sager and relaxed.

    • @moneygetten
      @moneygetten 3 місяці тому +1

      His approach is 90% physical... Why? if it's a brain driven nervous system problem... He talked about it for 1 minute... Stretches make it worse... He knows.. It's all to lure more people into his course... It doesn't make sense

    • @moneygetten
      @moneygetten 3 місяці тому +1

      Stretching = fixing...and makes it worse... Dan = 100% right. Michael basicly skipped that topic quick... Because he knows it too

    • @moneygetten
      @moneygetten 3 місяці тому +1

      That's why they talked for 20 min. Before this interview... But Michael's course lays the emphasis on the physical stuff... Because most people relate to that. 90% of his course is a physical approach... And only 1 minute spend on this topic in this interview.

    • @HoodMan19
      @HoodMan19 3 місяці тому +1

      Absolutely streching can actually work negatively because if you get better from stretching you won't 100 percent believe that's it's in mind which is opposite to Dr john Sarno approach
