Must be nice to have AC in a classic car/truck. Nothing like black vinyl in the summer in Georgia. Great video. Maybe one day I will get to install AC in my Mustang.

I may need to just go down the road here and get them to install one on my F100.

Very cool! Didn't know they existed. I have the factory integral AC/Heat unit (non working), and I haven't had the heart to ditch it. It's in really good shape, probably just needs to be cleaned and charged. I will definitely be contacting Original Air down the road!! Nice intro, btw.

I just imagine the line workers that used to install these watching this and saying "Why are they doing it the hard way?"
    Fun video!

If Original Air does that good a job on the refurbishment, perhaps I will send them mine.

When I bought my 69 it had that unit the heater core hoses were cut off at the fire wall and someone had upholstered over the defrost vents .
It had everything on it just the belt to the compressor was removed . I no longer have the condenser it was trashed I'm assuming you changed that and the air fryer hoses etc ? .
How is the unit after three years ? And if you can help me out on the condenser and air dryer / hoses etc I might try to get that guy going again .
I looked up the website it showed 73 up any suggestions on 69 condenser I could use air dryer etc .

The unit they were installing was the Factory Integral A/C and Heat unit that Ford installed at the factory. It was an option, usually found on Rangers and Ranger XLTs, maybe even on some Sport Customs. Looks like it was on there before, because it had the correct holes in the firewall. More info here: www.fordification.com/tech/factory-AC.htm

They were a factory installed unit too. This one was not dealer installed.

My 72' F-250 came with Factory Air... Both windows roll down 🤣😂😊😎

So it has the two 60 air? Two windows down and running at 60 mph.

@@AutoRestoMod Exactly! With a C6 60mph is as good as it gets! But she has factory power steering and power disk brakes! Cuz she's a basic driver I just want to lower the rear end to get that leveled look... still keeping the big tires 😎

My 66 F100 with 302, has that exact same vintage air. Do you know what model or brand it is? Looking for a diagram. Thanks.

It's a crime against engineering having the heater and AC connections BEHIND the firewall.
