Brain fog, to me, simply felt like “ I can’t seem to gather my thoughts “.
I am in recovery, but if I do get the occasional brain fog - that’s exactly what it feels like.
I was house bound/ bed bound for 4 years. My husband, who was my caregiver, did a wonderful job of giving me nutritious foods.
Extremely limited activity ( age 61 to age 63 - activity, but decreasing over 3 years - then age 64 to 68 - bedbound )
Woke up last June/21 and felt different. Just different - hard to explain.
ME/CFS gone - but recovery is slow. Just learning what to do and when and what to avoid. Very grateful to have reached this stage at 68 years old.
( I was an athlete up until my illness - swimmer and ice skater )

Many people have it because of IBS/Candida/SIBO. The intestines are often out of kilter because of leaky gut and imbalance in bacteria. Nutrition alone wouldn't solve IBS, but it would help a lot. Things like bone broth, anti-fungals, cooked vegetables, l-glutamine, and the right probiotics would help. And one should avoid dairy and gluten for a while, at least. Meditation and physical activity would also help.

Thank you this is very helpful and accurate. I've been to the cfs specialist and they say similar. You have been able to word it much better for me. I was irritated to see the lack of understanding of chronic fatigue in the comments and stopped reading them. This had genuinely helped me learn how to manage my condition as has your other videos and I'm grateful you've done them x

CFS Health, Thank you so much for these helpful & informative videos! Greatly appreciated. One thing you said I disagree with is about good nutrition, fuel for the body "it's a simple as that." YES I agree with the 1st part. But it's truly NOT that simple to do: purchase, plan, prepare & consume nutritious food when you have severe CFS w brain fog. Just that aspect takes a significant amount of mental + physical energy that many of us just don't have. I'd like to hear you address this NUTRITION as its own topic please 😊

Hmmm... I'll definitely cut down on the masturbation.

    • @chiragrulze
      @chiragrulze 7 років тому +6

Quitting masterbation helps, but the root cause is the unfavourable environment of the gut which leads to candida and disruption in serotonin production as well as other neurotransmitters. Also i have a theory it has something to do with the body not recycling endorphins/adrenalins (ex epinephrine) released during masturbation/sex as this fogs your brain and their levels should decline/increase to normal levels after you have ejaculated or stopped stimulation. But some people's liver can't break it down efficiently and thus they feel foggy for many days after ejaculation until its the chemicals are broken down. Also you could just be rewiring your brain from a masterbation addiction which will probably inflame the brain to change neuron linkages at a colloidal level. In another words to solve this problem all you need to do is get your immune system strong and liver bile flowing properly which will help break down endorphins, and the liver will clean the gut allowing proper serotonin production and uptake which will also heal your depression and anxiety at the same time.
This can be done number of ways but can take a few years to heal fully so that it doesn't happen again regardless of masturbation habits. Once fully healed you should be able to masturbate as often as you want if your organs are healthy and can manage it.
If you want to know how to heal it and have patience I can tell you. But most people have their own theory so I don't want to waste time posting on how to heal it unless you guys are still struggling. I'm also still struggling with it but it has improved dramatically.

I get plenty of sleep and i don't feel tired physically. My problem is that my head always hurts at the top like someone is squishing my brain with their hand. I have trouble reading a single sentence i have to focus on it just to grasp what it's saying. i have trouble communicating and typing. i used to type really fast but now i'm much slower and make more mistakes. my memory is terrible and have trouble forming new memories. i don't hear what people are saying when they are speaking to me....i just nod my head and pretend i do just so i don't get embarrassed. i think the cause is i drink too much caffeine and i don't drink water at all. so i'm going to try that even though i'm hooked on mountain dew. hopefully that helps!

As a long-time brain fogger I like written lists. This would help immensely here. Your intended audience can't remember what you just said. Amazing that you actually understand the condition though. You must have experienced it. You probably even mentioned it, but I was too foggy to either catch it or again ...remember by the time I got to checking a few comments. Another thing it does to us is makes us irritable, impatient, terse, matter-of-factly and bluntly frank so those who aren't this way should try to cut us a little slack when we're so brain-foggy that we have difficulty even verbally forming words, typing on the computer without running into the wrong keys, understanding sentences as we read without recycling it through our brain six or seven times, balancing, clearing wall corners with our shoulders and keeping the car perfectly centered in the lane at times. Some say this issue is brain inflammation which is caused by gut inflammation which is caused by damaging (what we call) foods ...which I'll add; is caused by man's tampering ...for the love of money. I've found that if I simply cut out food my brain feels and functions so much better ; ) , but seriously though, intermittent fasting (18hrs/day) has really improved my brain pressure and the ensuing fog the last couple days. I'm still struggling to find a harmless diet though. Mostly beans & quinoa type dishes presently and salad when I find the time & ambition. The only reason I can make such an extensive comment is because I've been feeling some wonderful relief for most of the past 6 weeks. I see the light (hope) at the end of the tunnel. I just hope my body doesn't turn me around ...back into the deep.

Next, it may be something else, speak to doctors re ADD, OCD, ANXIETY, LIME DECEASE, ADRENAL FATIGUE (for sure). In case of CFS, dont accept any other treatment, but Marshal, the rest is rubbish, the Adreba Fatigue...not all the endocrinologists treat it well. IF U FIND A CHRONIC FATIGUE SPECIALIST, IT MAY BE BEST TO TREAT THE ADRENAL WITH THE SAME PERSON, BUT THE SPECIALIST, EHO ONLY ACCEPTS THE MARSHALL PROTOCOL.....OKAAAAY

One thing that has helped me is lemon juice. Adding some lemon juice to your water really helps your brain get more oxygen and can eliminate your brain fog. I buy an organic bottle of pure lemon juice and add some to my water throughout the day. And everything this guy says is golden. I would just add some lemon juice to your water as number 6! For nutrition, if you really want to get your mental health back, go plant-based. (Vegan) If you're eating toxic foods that damages your gut, it will make getting rid of brain fog a lot more difficult. Avoid processed refined sugars as well.

It’s not good feeling, I’m dealing with foggy now, feels I need more time to concentrate and think to figure something it was on my memory, like today I have to look at the calendar to see what day is today, and other cases I got last on the road while driving, I noticed after 1 hour of going to the wrong way

good video i had thought of most of these but i hadn't thought of blood flow. i have started trying to exercise a little bit for muscle atrophy. the moving around may sound like the hardest one to others but i think its probably the easiest because you only need to get the blood flowing just go to the bathroom or give your arms a little shake. the sleep one is by far the hardest because its something none of us can control, we can go to bed as early as we like but it doesn't stop us laying there un-able to sleep for 5 hours and then waking up every hour and having interrupted sleep.

Far too simplistic answer...You have mentioned nutrition. But that is pointless. Unless your gut microbiome is in balance. 80% of your immune system is in your gut. Also your seratonin is manufactured in the gut. If your gut microbiome is destroyed by antibiotics. Or you are in Adrenal fatigue. Likely have a yeast and parasite imbalance in the gut. Candida. Which can also cause brain fog! As can toxins in the body and lymphatic system...The gut and brain are so connectted. If the microbiome is out of balance so will your brain function and the rest of your body's function. I totally reversed my brain fog. Also my supposed IBS.!! Which was not IBS but gut flora destroyed by too many antibiotics. By making drinking fermented foods and drinks. Water kefir. Avoiding, dairy, gluten, caffine, sugar, alcohol. No white carbs. Clearing the toxic build up in my gut by doing Faith Canters " Cleanse" book. Then eating ferments every day. Huge improvement in all symptoms. Heal the gut first. Most people with cfs will have leaky gut, adrenal fatigue.
Untill you heal the gut. Chanfe your diet. Remove all toxins from your home. And stop using toxic chemicals on your skin. The largest absorbative organ in your body. You will not get rid of brain fog. Your brain cannot function without a healthy gut...Read Faith Canter's " Living a life less Toxic" . Faith had cfs recovered and is now a renown cfs/ME coach. Her online support group is free for a month. Then only £ 20 per month. Huge amount of info. Faith us a trained nutritionalist, coach. Yoga EFT. Reflexology, author of 5 books relating to cfs/ ME. Puts lots of free you tube vidios out.A whole mind body healing approach. Which works. You can recover. But healing the gut is key to recovery....that i do know....you will not absorb food untill that gut is in balance. Then your brain fog will go. Regardless of slerp, or how much movement you do. You will feel so much better after " cleanse" then changing nutrition. But in that order....Otherwise your recovery will be at snails pace or you may never recover us the gut microbiome is unbalanced. Do your research. Not medical science as they know sod all. Alternive function medicine practitioners. Who are years ahead of medical science sadly.!! The microbiome is the key to most Dis - ease in the body. Not just cfs/ ME...absolutely fascinating research being done world wide on the microbiome....that is your key to recovery...journalling EFT, meditation, calming the nervous system down. Listen to your body. Sleep when you need too. Reduce your conflict. Learn how to Stop overthinking/ overanalizing...calm the mind. Heal the gut. Then you will feel soo much better....Good luck fellow cfs/ ME recover'ees...You can do this. Without breaking the bank...xxx few water kefir grains i started with. From Amazon. 6 months, i no longer had i bs...the microbiome was healing. My hair stopped falling out. I finally started to put on wieght. Many of my nurological symptoms stopped. After water kefir then " cleanse"....
Body brushing is also a good way to remove toxins ,and encourage the lymphatic system to clear toxins. Also epsom salt baths. Removes toxins. And yoy absorb much needed magnesium. When the gut is healed. Then the nutrition, vits, miberals, omega 3 oils will help massivley. As your body can now finally absorb them!!

Try getting a para cleanse. Clean out your gut like chinese herbs are good. I just found videos on how to reset the vagus nerve which is the gut and brain connection. Along with what he is suggesting. Doesn't hurt to try. We have to help each other as the medical field seems to not know or don't care, or both. Years off ones life, spending money, grasping for straws, can be debilitating and exhausting. Prayer has gotten me through, and I'm slowly but surely bouncing back.
