Don't make me laugh, Dimash doens't sing with emotions. He is not half as good as Lara. Dimash is just a good voice but certainly not an emotional singer. He conveys no emotion, he just likes to show how high he can go in every song, but no emotion.

it was 2008 when I discovered Lara Fabian for the first time And I had been living in a deep emotional void for a few years. Bad relationships, my father's death, my health problems, I was living in devastating darkness devoid of any feeling.I still remember that night as I browsed UA-cam looking for videos and I came across this one.I started crying my eyes out and spent the whole night watching it on loop.I hadn't cried in years, and since that night all the weight I felt inside has gone.That's why I love her so much and she's my favorite artist (not to mention the perfection of her vocal technique).It may sound ridiculous, but when I put her music on with headphones, I could even get over my panic attacks. and then after years I discovered Ren and he gives me the same emotions. More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. Watching your vulnerability in it's purity unfold as the song instantly transported you to a singular unparalleled true love was like watching myself. I recognized instantly where it took you because it still touches me the same way, even 12yrs after the only person I've ever truly given my heart and soul to left without explanation. To see someone else's raw emotions is unbelievably refreshing, but also heartbreaking, because I broke with you each time the lyrics ripped at your heart. You're the first person, in 12 long years, that has given me a feeling that finally someone out there can relate to how I have for so long now. “Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. She's been happy for a long time and just because a person sings sad songs it doesn't mean that that person is unhappy: sad songs are usually are more beautiful, melodically speaking and the lyrics as well because it makes you think about your life, it makes you keep in touch with your emotions. If you're sad and you hear and sing sad songs it's a great way to wash away your sorrow and feel better!

I greatly admire your willingness to be so openly vulnerable in this video. It's nice to seeing a guy who reacts to Lara much as I do. Some of my guy friends actually said "meh" when I sent them her videos. I discovered "Je suis malade" and Lara Fabian by accident about 7 moths ago. I've wept more in the past 7 months listening to her sing than I ever did in my previous 65+ years. She does that to a lot of folks. Lara is the ultimate artist. 1. she has a honeyed warm voice with the exquisite control produced by voice training since her early childhood 2. she is without a peer in her ability to tell a story while singing 3. she either writes lovely lyrics or picks lovely lyrics 4. she has a truly kind, gentle, and humble personality. She is an anti-diva. 5. the emotional transparency and vulnerability she is willing to display in public matches your own 6. she is drop-dead gorgeous and not, like a model, only in repose. She has an incredibly expressive face, and all of her facial expressions are lovely. I highly recommend the performance of "Je t'aime" where the audience sings to and then with her. You will see Lara when she is spontaneously transparent and vulnerable. You will cry, but it will feel so good! Lara's version of Caruso is the most beautiful melancholy love song ever recorded. Finally, if you want to enjoy Lara while keeping your eyes dry, watch "Requiem pour un fou", her duet with Johnny Hallyday, also one of her favorite performances. Make sure it's the "under the rain" performance in the National Stadium of Paris. Lara's swaggering performance as a tough as nails gangster's moll in black leather is mesmerizing.

And that's what breaks through all our resistance to the emotion she conveys. The depth she conveys with her voice opens up the audience with ease, grace and, one might say, effortlessness. The first time you hear it, you just expect a beautiful song, but very quickly, from the very first phrases, it reaches a part of us that thought we were safe. Don't make me laugh, Dimash doens't sing with emotions. He is not half as good as Lara. Dimash is just a good voice but certainly not an emotional singer. He conveys no emotion, he just likes to show how high he can go in every song, but no emotion.

Lara is a world class performer and i'm not surprised that she is Dimash's idol.The way she gets into character, tells the story and conveys emotion is just phenomenal. Speaks 4 languages ( French, English, Italian and Spanish) also convertional in russian and portugese , sings in 12 , wrote 90% of the songs on her 16 albums ( 3 in english) more than 30 millions albums sold and at age 54 still the # 1 voice and more gorgeous than ever . She just started a new world tour in 2024 and i have my tickets for the 2 shows in Montréal in june 2024...

it was 2008 when I discovered Lara Fabian for the first time And I had been living in a deep emotional void for a few years. Bad relationships, my father's death, my health problems, I was living in devastating darkness devoid of any feeling.I still remember that night as I browsed UA-cam looking for videos and I came across this one.I started crying my eyes out and spent the whole night watching it on loop.I hadn't cried in years, and since that night all the weight I felt inside has gone.That's why I love her so much and she's my favorite artist (not to mention the perfection of her vocal technique).It may sound ridiculous, but when I put her music on with headphones, I could even get over my panic attacks. and then after years I discovered Ren and he gives me the same emotions. Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, ....
In my personal opinion, she is even the best.
There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register.
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer.

And not just surface relate, but very possibly empathize with a soul that has been hurt so deeply that it changed the very fabric of their being. There are certain moments in life that we simply cannot fully heal from. Uhhh, I've probably said too much already.... This song, it's power, and the journey that only Lara Fabian & her undeniable connection to every lyric is truly an experience that touches every single thread of the soul. Bravo bravo...

“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973.
This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …).
When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours.
The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes.
Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad.
But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s.
At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version.
She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone.
Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on.

is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.

a lot of her songs are sad due to the rough periods she had lived, but she's now very happy and for that she can be a example for you. After the rain comes the sun. You're young! you have all your life and a lot of beautiful things to live.
She's been happy for a long time and just because a person sings sad songs it doesn't mean that that person is unhappy: sad songs are usually are more beautiful, melodically speaking and the lyrics as well because it makes you think about your life, it makes you keep in touch with your emotions. If you're sad and you hear and sing sad songs it's a great way to wash away your sorrow and feel better!

I discovered "Je suis malade" and Lara Fabian by accident about 7 moths ago. I've wept more in the past 7 months listening to her sing than I ever did in my previous 65+ years. She does that to a lot of folks.
Lara is the ultimate artist.
1. she has a honeyed warm voice with the exquisite control produced by voice training since her early childhood
2. she is without a peer in her ability to tell a story while singing
3. she either writes lovely lyrics or picks lovely lyrics
4. she has a truly kind, gentle, and humble personality. She is an anti-diva.
5. the emotional transparency and vulnerability she is willing to display in public matches your own
6. she is drop-dead gorgeous and not, like a model, only in repose. She has an incredibly expressive face, and all of her facial expressions are lovely.
I highly recommend the performance of "Je t'aime" where the audience sings to and then with her. You will see Lara when she is spontaneously transparent and vulnerable. You will cry, but it will feel so good!
Lara's version of Caruso is the most beautiful melancholy love song ever recorded.
Finally, if you want to enjoy Lara while keeping your eyes dry, watch "Requiem pour un fou", her duet with Johnny Hallyday, also one of her favorite performances. Make sure it's the "under the rain" performance in the National Stadium of Paris. Lara's swaggering performance as a tough as nails gangster's moll in black leather is mesmerizing.

The key to avoiding such complete devastation when a relationship ends, is to learn to love without attachment. Maintain boundaries around your heart.
