no auto tune, no cell phones, no lip sync, no bull sht. Just pure Linda at her best in her prime. Love it.
Thanks
Thank you
people like you make it hard to go through comments. So how many times have you made that stupid comment? retire already.
So damn true!!!!!
She didn't dance, make stripper moves or sell her soul. She sold records because she could sing with a voice that was pure beauty. No one tops her. She was real.
I think it was Willy Nelson who said there were two types of men in the world: those who had a crush on Linda Ronstadt and those who never met Linda Ronstadt.
Not enough words to describe how great she was. None.
You misspelled "bad"
AND The Band!!!!!! Wooooooooooo!!!!!
@@JMLUSA1I don't see Andrew Gold.
@@PaintHerWhiteWhat?! 🙄
No costume changes. No back-up dancers. No pyrotechnics. No autotune.
Just pure raw vocal talent on display, backed by a group of musicians at the top of their game and masters of their craft.
Hey, costume changes, back up dancers and fireworks are great! When I'm paying 200 dollars for a concert, I want more than my ears to be wowed!
I could not have expressed it better. Coupe DeVille.
Coupe DeVille well: there ARE a couple of very on it back-up singers without whom the soloist would have had only half the impact
Rapture folds me? I’d rather pay £30 and just have the music, ta.
Jesus - so childish. Is it really impossible to say how much you LOVE something without denigrating something else? You people crack me up.
Didn't need any gimmicks a truly powerful voice, still my favorite female singer THANKS I'm 66 and no one compares to her today!
The strongest female rock vocalist this country ever produced. Always the coolest on stage, extremely gracious, allowed her band to have generous turns in the spotlight as she floated behind them. She was and is, for me, the anti-diva. She always made it about the music.
You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm borrowing your comment. Of course with your name attached. Hope it's okay. A good evening to you, fellow Ronstadt admirer.
Agree but Pat Benatar......
She's a fine example of a good Atheist. She's really helped our numbers grow 🖒
Agreed 100% We still love you Linda!

Best version of this song period. Band does a great job and the recording is spectacular! This is a major league homerun!
If I’d been at that show anywhere in the first 10 rows, I’d have had an earth-shaking orgasm during this performance!
Oh I dunno, I think one particular version from an award show on TV was supreme, though similar to this one. The award show one even topped this. It breathed a little better. Wish I could find that version... Don't remember the name of the award show...
This one is good, but earlier versions have Waddy Wachtel and that is the best. ua-cam.com/video/cEWosGN7Eis/v-deo.html
The way she looks at the camera and sings, good grief, it'll put chills down your spine. She's the best.
She and the band absolutely leave me speechless on this performance!!!
She is the Queen of music for America. 3-5-2023

The Best🎉
No one tops Linda. The sound over the airways of my youth. Flying down the Detroit highways with Linda. Pure joy……
Motown????
Linda Ronstadt and Stevie Nicks have always been my favorites ever since 1993 when I came into this world. My dream gig would be to jam this banger live with both of them!
Friggin perfection at its finest
40 years later and still no comparison. Rock-N-Roll forever!
Preach it brother! Her music is immortal.
Linda Ronstadt is simply the Best of the Best!
Without a Doubt..❤
Yes she is simply the best of the best ❤💚💗💛💙🤍💜🤎🧡
Gawd… her voice. Just gives you chills.
Chills and Thrills..❤
She just walks up to the mic and blows the roof off the place.
Linda is the GOAT.
I was stuck on an extinct volcano, in Turkey, in 1978 (army intelligence) and nothing said "home" more to me than that beautiful, wonderful ladies voice. Thank you Linda.
And thank you for your service!
I was stationed at remote radar sites 75-78. Loved Linda. I am not Barbara, I'm her husband Billy, I'm using her computer, mine died on 11APR, Barbara died on 10 APR. She was gone, her chromebook was here. Got none of her passwords to change much. Miss Barb and Linda's voice. Thanks for your service.
Love linda
That was the most refreshing six minutes and twelve seconds I’ve spent in a long time. All I can say is wow.
👍
Music and style has changed in the past 30
Years, and I miss the brilliant vocalists and songwriting of the past. Linda is untouchable!!!
My favorite version of this song. Great performance all around.
What a performance! Her voice, on top of that band is absolute musical perfection. Kortchmar kicked a$$ on that Les Paul!
Linda Ronstadt, powerhouse vocalist. Absolute LEGEND.
Gorgeous muscle in that voice. WoW.
Just a PURE vocalist and singer! PURE!
With a line stated, " ... I would not blame you if you told me, ' Your No Good ... ' "
To me she was showing that the blame is a two streak in any relationship.
A strong vocalist and lyrist that was and always impress the truth of time.
And they still make up stuff about her. Just freaking listen. No pretending, no autotune - glorious vocals - always invited perhaps demanded that her bands shine. Rare then, rarer now. We owe her...
100% agree
In a vocal universe all her own. The ease of power and tenderness is rare and remarkable.
@@lazarwolf7359 For tenderness, her "Gainesville" from Randy Newman's Faust is as good as it gets.
Linda rips the flesh off the bone on this one, and how about Danny's solo and the rest of the guys !!!!!!!!!
The Queen of hi-fidelity vinyl and even more mesmerizing live. If someone says otherwise they are lying. Ronstadt was the real deal. Sigh...
Vinyl made sound requirement purer and simpler than digital, vinyl era artists understood this...
Thanks for the Memories! Explanation point🌸
Magnificent vocals. Linda could blow you back with power then break your heart. She wore fame so lightly and often let the light shine on her devoted musicians. Rare.
The best version of this song, hands down. We saw her on this tour and she was incredible.
No taking clothes off, no vulgar moves, no twerking - just pure wonderful talent.
The whole band was amazing
EeYyupp! Jus plain Raw Talents!!!🤗
amen
No tattoos...
I miss those days. You had to have actual talent .
Oh My My My, what a PERFECT performance by Linda, every member of that band and she is just IMPOSSIBLY cute, isn't she? GREAT music. Just GREAT.
Arguably the greatest all around American female singer in history! I was one of the fortunate few to be in the audience for this April 24, 1980 HBO taping at a sound studio in Hollywood. At a previous Ronstadt concert a few weeks earlier , they gave out lottery tickets to attend this taping for an HBO concert to be broadcast later. A friend scored three tickets and took me along to the taping. As I recall there were less than 500 people in attendance and as it was being filmed for later broadcast, if Linda forgot a lyric or the bands intro wasn’t tight enough, they’d stop the song and start it over to get it perfect. Her manager, Peter Asher, played percussion and sang backup for a majority of the songs. My favorite Ronstadt album- Mad Love had just came out and she played numerous songs off that album including “The Cost of Love” and several other power pop tunes. One of my all time favorite concerts I ever attended!
How very lucky you were! Linda at her absolute peak.
Wow Your Good Fortune!
My goodness she is singing this live not in a studio. I saw her in concert and her voice was amazing.
LOL I was 14 when this concert was on HBO in 1980 or so. And I borrowed a copy of Mad Love to hear the song I loved from the concert (sadly, not on the new Hollywood Live set). And.... the studio version of Mad Love left me a bit sad. The concert was so powerful and dare I say, raw in energy. The studio version was just Hot A/C radio pop. I learned how live performances are quite different than the records. Anyway, that some of this concert has been officially released in audio is a welcomed, great start. Here's hoping for a video to go along with it. Though the masters and rights, etc, might be hard to come by.
One of the best live versions of “You’re No Good”. Such great musicianship and great vocals of course, of my musical idol Linda! Danny “Kooch” Kortchmar shines with his guitar solo on the song!
@Josue2018 I agree totally about this rendition! I've been listening to the outro (starts at 2:37) over and over and over...
Those musicians from the LA studio scene from around '69 on we're incredible. The "LA Mafia". Kootch, Dugmore, Kunkel, Glaub, Wachtel, Sklar, Lindley, Calderon etc. etc. etc. and I am missing a TON.
Indeed!
Linda has it all goin on the song. What a talented lady is is. ❤️
@@shawnuel In case you haven't yet heard. Kortchmar, Wachtel, Sklar, Kunkel and Steve Postel haver a band named The Immediate Family. All except Postel are over 70 years old...They still bring it. Check them out
I saw her live in Birmingham, Alabama on this tour. James Taylor's brother, Livingston Taylor, was the opening act.
Loved Linda's voice 😢sorry how her life turned out at the end. She deserved better. God bless her❤
Actually, Everyone is there Anyone Better??❤
Grab the mic, let the band rip and sing your heart out. Divine sound from Ronstadt - no wonder all the boys swarmed around her.
One of the greatest female kiss-off tunes ever and when Ronstadt delivered it live - watch out. Splendid vocalist.
Love her still and proud of it. Glorious singer and deep musical chops.
That is pure talent at its finest! The musicianship alone is something we won't see again in our lifetime. Her voice is amazing.
This is a very good live version of this song. This song looks to be difficult to pull off live but they did it.
Linda is an American treasure and an incredible talent. She can take the same song , sing it 1000 times over 15 years and never once does her passion and execution waiver from perfection. She sounds just as raw and passionate as the first time she sang it.
You said it. Great gifts Linda had. No one else like her. One of a kind voice and she could put all of the emotion and heat out there. RONA SCOTT
Linda was one of the best singers I have ever heard and she will always love in my heart and mind and she is one lady I will never forget, she is a living legend to me and always will be
This is the best backing band...ever!!! Linda is totally on spot too.
She is just amazing and beautiful. I dont know how long this show was but it was amazing she has a voice left. She didnt even break a sweat. She goes from belting out a rock song to Desperado sweet and beautiful.
All time greatest female vocalist ever.
Without a Doubt..❤
What a voice! What a singer! What a song! Brilliant!
Happy Birthday Linda, with Love from your hometown of Tucson!
I literally have chills. God bless Linda !
Linda Ronstadt is a singing institution, and this performance is but one sizzling testimony to her greatness.
Her voice just over takes the band. Thank goodness for these recordings. Great to see from.someone who never had the chance to see her. Watching these is just great. Just great simple music with a great band and music.
What an amazing voice. Sadly that voice has been silenced by Parkinson’s disease as she can no longer sing as a result. This video is a reminder of how talented Linda is and how powerful that voice was in its prime. Could listen to this on repeat all day. ❤️❤️❤️
I KNOW RIGHT?! it's kind of like a homage of "i am not worthy" to dance around while singing along at full blast!!😎
Sometimes I do, stellar performance all around!!!!
It's actually Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, years ago. I knew a neighbor with it. Dudley Moore had it too. Very different from Parkinson's. You start to fall backwards. Then half your vertical vision goes away, swallowing, and finally respiration. Eventually, you die of pneumonia. Brutal. :(
Best version of this song ever!!! watched it 100 times
Incredible and I've never been a big fan. She is so strong here. I'm old enough to remember her presence in the70's and I didn't realize how strong and beautiful her voice really was-This show is impressive -Wow!
Most of us were still listening on AM radio. We could not have possibly heard the full spectrum of the sound.
No one can belt them out like Linda!!🌹
Wow she’s spectacular live and this has got to be one of the best versions of this I’ve heard from her. Thnx for posting 👍🏻
Love her.
Man. She was at the top of her game here. Already earned $12M in '79 & considered the best female vocalist. Yet kept it all in perspective.
Back when Music Was Good , Her Deep Dark Eyes Could Hypnotize You and Her Voice Soothed You're Soul. Beautiful Sincerely 🌹
What a powerful voice! Amazing!
My fav upload of this live YNG so far...extended guitar solo adds contrast to Linda's exceptional pipes....
When she wanted to she could rock and she could roll so incredibly well.
Wow! This is BETTER than the original album version. The vocals are stronger, the guitar solos great and I love the bass! Now I have to go out and buy this album just for this version! 🤷🏻♂️
Shorter on the album, I have it and I know, it's been cut down.
My favorite female vocalist...remarkable range and adaptability
ウエストコーストの永遠の歌姫.セクシーでパワフルでシットリ感もあってノリが凄いです!最高の女性歌手!リンダ大好き!!🎵❤️
The most gracious goddess to ever walk this planet 💞
Absolutely love this. Between Linda's awesome vocals and her amazing musicians..... Fantastic! 👏👏
Her band was amazing.
Words cannot describe the brilliance of this performance!!!!
Can belt it when she wants to, awesome vocalist 💃🏻👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Excellent rendition! Linda is on fire! Band is on fire too! ❤️❤️❤️
Holy shit this lady has pipes. Beautiful voice, pure talent
Only Linda can rock this one outta the the park!! I call this song the 70's version of " You Outta Know"
Seeing and hearing her LIVE was transformational. Tough guys succumbed.
When you have a voice like Linda's you should have great musicians working with you. What amazing talent in one small space!
Linda has the voice. Wish I lived back in those days. I love all her songs
Girl was born to sing...phenomenal...great arrangement...one of my all time favorites...Linda Ronstadt has few vocal challengers within the last 60 years...play it again please...
What a voice..Best performance of this song bar none. Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar (great solo) Russ Kunkel (drums), Bob Glaub (Bass) just add to the magic along with Ronstadt stalwarts Kenny Edwards (guitar), Dan Dougmore, Billy Payne (keyboards) and Wendy Waldman (back ground vocals)_
She was utterly splendid with every musical genre she wanted to sing. There is no category for her--other than a stunning & nearly unfathomable talent.
Gotta Love Lovely Linda!
Just the best female singer ever! No one could match her pipes !!❤❤
I got the chills. I mean I’m shivering !! Long live Linda.
Now does everyone remember when singers actually had talent, and could sing? And Linda wasn't wearing spandex and lip syncing. That's class.
I doesn't get any better then this. Linda could sing anything and make it her Very Own 🎼❤️‼️
Man oh man that girl could belt out a rock tune. The New Live Album sounds fabulous - yeah I got the vinyl.
Back when singers hit all the notes with no computer in the back assisting. The musicians could handle the intricacies of timing and exactitude and not hide their lack of abilities behind attitude and fuzz boxes. We love you Linda!
Great singer - Linda Live was something else.
Nobody does a better cover version of a song than Linda Ronstadt. There are so many.
Phenomenal...treasure every second of LR playback...arguably the greatest (and most versatile) female singer of the 21st & 20th century combined...
The best female singer of her generation by a mile. What a band! All legends!
Better than the original recording...love that extra grit she is producing in the vocals here!
I'm still in love with that voice. Got a front row seat for her twice. Best concerts I ever experienced!
This is the best video on UA-cam
Way to jaaammm! All around entertainment not just a great singer. Love Linda.
The purest female voice Rock Music ever had.
Linda helped get me through my Highschool years. Her songs are poinient to a 16 year old with a crush...
How about three solo guitarists, this is the most incredible version ever recorded of “You’re No Good”. Out group used to play this song locally back in the 70’s and the best we could sometimes get was two good solos but wow, all you can say is wow!
Linda is so good!
She was such a stone fox, with a God given talent!
That was awesome! What a voice! And those Les pauls...miss those days.
That voice man!!! Stellar!!! Love u Ms Ronstadt.
this is by far the most talented voice in the industry and she is just as beautiful today as she looked in her 20s and that's saying something !! thanks for the years of entertainment and you are a angel
What a legend!! A brilliant artist and amazing human being!! ❤️❤️
Stephan Le Agree 💯
Brilliant and beautiful
