These are fairly common and easy to get hold of, even here in the UK. Getting one in good condition is not so easy though. I was lucky I had at least one scrap clock to take parts off, and I'm fairly happy with the result.
Ah, yes. I have seen maaany of these. This one is the most common design of striking Vesna in my area, but there's also another one with a more modern aura to it. You're very lucky that yours is in tune! Usually those have horribly tuned chime rods and that's why I didn't bother to get one of these. I honestly preffer the sound of older Vladimir clocks which used the same movement. I don't know why the soviets stuck with the brick-shaped design, but I quite like their taste xD Lovely addition!
Again I have seen a clock like this somewhere else on UA-cam, Tommy. Very nice but it's a plain piece. Well done you. The strike is bim bam on four straight rods.
Vladimir clocks differ from Vesna clocks in having the platform escapement mounted inside the frontplate rather than outside the backplate as on this clock.
Normally it's a three rod when referring to bim bam striking. This one however is a four rod version. Two low notes and two slightly higher notes. Not that loud, but it runs well enough.
I like your clocks, they are amazing!!!
Hey Tommy! I love your videos. I gotta say you have very interesting clocks! Keep up with the good work!
Very beautiful clock. Wonderful aqusition
I saw that exact clock at an antique store but didn't had a chance to buy it. Anyways a really nice and unusual addition!
I saw an identical one elsewhere on UA-cam, Tommy. Very nice find indeed. Well done you.

Thats a nice Vesna clock! But I didn't know it has spare hands.

It's what I call 2+2 bim bam.

Usually Vesna clocks have perfectly tuned strings, but Yantar ones do not.

Oh, english version of the vesna clocks? Didint know, they did that. (i know the most vesnas from communist east germany all in cyrillic)
Even the movement has English words stamped on it.
