Fantastic, best quality I ever seen. I wonder if they filmed more of the show. Killer post thank you for this amazing footage. Much rare exclusive footage never seen before, Johnny on my channel , K & B is a superb archive,
I saw Johnny 4 times thru his career...this captured live era Johnny was on top..He went on the road all kinds of bands...first time was with UFO .they were great.and Climax blues band. 1976.
Ok...i don't know what johnny is sayin 75 percent of time. But his guitar playing is incredible. Just discovered him. I knew of him since 79s but never really listened. Quite a talented raw virtuoso. In rareified air when he gets going.....
Saw him in Detroit at Cobo Hall during this tour. One of the loudest concerts I've ever experienced! My ears were ringing all the next day. It was nice to finally see Floyd Radford. Rick Derringer had already replaced him by the time I saw Edgar Winter's White Trash.
I saw THE JOHNNY WINTER BAND a few times .In the 70's,80's and what turned out to be his last tour. 😢 Saw him on a SCHOOLS OUT TOUR AT ROOSEVELT STADIUM IN J.C-N.J ALONG WITH ALICE COOPER, R.STEWART & at the GOOD OLD CAPITAL THEATER in PASSAIC NJ .and right before he passed at a show in Morris TOWN NJ ALONG WITH THE LESLIE WEST BAND. RIP MR.WINTERS. & MR.WEST❤ ROCK N ROLL 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
00:00 - Bony Moronie 06:06 - Black Cat Bone 12:52 - Highway 61 Revisited 17:30 - Johnny B. Goode Personnel Johnny Winter - guitar, slide guitar and vocals Randy Jo Hobbs - bass, background vocals Richard Hughes - Drums Floyd Radford - Guitar
I was at that concert. My first concert ever !! I remember Johnny’s girlfriend Susan on stage playing the tambourine ! She would years later become his wife.
AMAZING performance by all!!! Johnny's guitar playing is always amazing but when he plays with Floyd Radford it's rockin like I've never heard before. I loved when he was with these band members. I have the Captured Live album which is my all time favorite album. Captured Live and Johnny Winter and...Live are his best live albums recorded. The others have amazing performances but the sound quality is really bad.
I really like the Johnny Winter And line up with Bobby Caldwell on drums. He’s a monster player, as evidenced on the first Captain Beyond album and the first (and only) Armageddon album.
Finally,28 mins of the tour in low lights with a complete Black Cat Bone and Highway 61 Revisited ( notice stuff, not chit in lyric in France, and green Firebird Guitar) and looks like Clive Davis and Ed Winter on the mix desk . Thank You ( somehow lived long enough to see it ,Hope Johnny did as well.) Old Chris a retired fiddler of Albuquerque NM
Dommage qu'il manque la deuxième partie avec l'interview de Johnny Winter et Floyd Radford ! Cette vidéo est superbe !!! C'est la tournée "John Dawson Winter III"
Floyd could stand on his own in any band. And Johnny was the absolute master.
The band is on fire, but Randy's bass is exceptionally good
Randy is on fkn fire 🔥 here

Johnny’s “Captured Live” Era…
First Time for me, great concert
I saw johnny play every note of this concert in 1974 at the capital center.. Largo Md... And Humble Pie... And shitty starcastle....
Fantastic, best quality I ever seen. I wonder if they filmed more of the show. Killer post thank you for this amazing footage. Much rare exclusive footage never seen before, Johnny on my channel , K & B is a superb archive,

Haha they are so funny! How did they not get those guitar chords tangled up running around in the dark like that,I love these guys
The speed on Bony Maroni in the opening is incredible. Hot damn ! That boy is fast !! Johnny in his peak prime.
Ok...i don't know what johnny is sayin 75 percent of time. But his guitar playing is incredible. Just discovered him. I knew of him since 79s but never really listened. Quite a talented raw virtuoso. In rareified air when he gets going.....
Scott, same for me! Knew of him but really enjoying the crap out of these videos! Greetings from Illinois!

I seen Johnny at Cobo in 73 when Foghat backed them up. The loudest band I seen were Grand Funk at Cobo in 71 my ears rang for 3 days :-) Peace
That Gibson firebird is iconic in Johnnys hands

Une pensée pour Freddy Hauser et ses émissions à la télévision dans les années 70s.

Captured Live is incredible. The band and Johnny are on FIRE. I agree with you that Captured Live and And...Live are Johnny's best live albums.

Also looks like Edgar was on the board. Maybe why these were decent recordings, too

I knew Johnny had a green Firebird but that’s the first time I have ever seen it !!
This was a dam good tape. I wish we had more from this time period, so educationally relevant to how it should be done.
Too bad the camera missed Floyd’s solo on Black cat bone. Johnny running around the stage is priceless!
Thanks for this rare recording!
Thanks sooooo much!!! This is great! New sub and greetings from Illinois!
FLOYD RADFORD
Johnny really liked playing with Floyd . Both red hot players , and Randy is just tearing up the bass
