This is was when Johnny was at his peak! Seeing him at the chance in Poughkeepsie NY was a religious experience. The sound of his slide guitar on Highway 61 was soul piercing

Saw Johnny Winter over 10 times lost count, this looks like one in 83 when he opened for Golden Earring at Massey Hall Toronto Ontario Canada, Johnny was great and I'm guessing most were there for Johnny because I left after 4 Golden Earring songs as did at least half the others,
I was at this show it was at a beautiful, old 2500 seat theatre in Toronto called Massey Hall. Johnny was the second of three acts with Golden Earring headlining. I believe this was in 1983.
second tune reminds me that JWAnd was the best US rock quartet, with or without a hit song, ever - thibnk Johnny could have gotten signed as a singer their live album we played after Geils, Allmans, Wet Willie; and actually their material was great - & many other nights I expect Edgar Winter Group was the killer; ridiculous, really
Bobby Torello from thunderhead (one lp produced by Johnny in '75 on abc records, amazing lost classic) & John Paris on bass . both players were on Raisin' Cain lp
In his hay day. How wonderous it was.
A true Blue's man grew up on Johnny Winter, he got me into Texas blues if he was still alive I'd still be going 2 see him live! Great player. 😢
