Just got one of these titanium trim and i love it. To be fair i had a couple of fords in the past a fiesta mk4 and a focus mk2 and i really liked those cars as well.
I tested in Nice all 1.5 versions (ST LINE petrol SW with 182 bhp; the Titanium 120 bhp diesel; and the Vignale diesel with 150 bhp) and they were all very good. The Vignale is a real rival for the Golf...

Nissan dropped the Pulsar, and Citroen did with the C4. The Astra is just an ashtray, and nobody buys the Subaru Impreza. I30 and Ceed are boring. This all means the Megane from Renault is the only true competitor, but it's outclassed but the Focus 💁

I have a Mk3 (2016) model, which is a great car. I would recommend the estate car version which has the same characteristics as the saloon, but with loads of room. I would certainly go for the 1.5L engine with a manual or torque-converter auto gearbox. Avoid the dual-clutch robotic box which is very jerky. Mine is a 1.5L estate with a torque-converter 6-gear auto, which can easily be used as a manual box (put it in S and shift the gears with the up-down button) for cross-country driving. In mountain driving, it has great handling, performance and gearing (when used in manual mode). Finish and quality is good (German-made). The down side is urban fuel economy (can be 6 to 7 km/l).

Because it has them! You can't see them (they are under the front seats) and can't be angled to adjust flow so maybe not as good as some rivals...but there are vents directing air into the back and have been there in every focus since Mk1.
Firemarioflower Traditionally Ford Fiesta and Focus drive way superior to similar cars but the Mazda 3 is also pretty good so a comparison would be interesting (I still wonder why she compares to the Octavia - it drives rather badly)

Ive sat in one and can agree on the interior, Really disappointed with poor quality seat materials. I also preferred look of previous Aston Martinesque version of focus. Overall Golf still rules the roost.
yeah but what about long term reliability, I have a 2012 LW focus and it had faulty auto transmissions, mine was a manual but the power steering rack failed after just 58,000 kilometers, the dash plastics creak and make noise and the door seal rubbers fall off and the metallic paint scratches too easily.
Another car we don't get in the U.S. We were going to get the Focus Activ, then Ford Decided to keep that from the U.S. too. I had a 2012 Focus hatchback. Loved that car. Good power, handling, and versatility. Not to mention I could get 46.8 mpg (That's 39 mpg in the U.S.) on the interstate. Was thinking of trading for the new Focus or Focus Activ until Ford U.S. decided to axe it here. 😡 😡 😡. Ironic that an American car brand offers better cars in other countries than it's own. My Ford Escape (Kuga) will probably be my last Ford.
Had a 2008 ses that wore tires out at 15,000 to 18,000 miles. Had a 2016 se with the dual dry clutch pos transmission. Eco boost engines have a problems with timing chains, etc.. Why is ford still in business when they can not make anything right?
I have this exact focus same colour and spec. Now it had to go back to the dealer at 1500km for 2 new anti roll bar links now at 3000km thers something wrong with the gearbox it makes a clunking noise in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears the dealer replaced the clutch but that didnt fix it now ford ireland wont replace the gearbox only 2nd gear in the box? This is my 3rd new car and all have given trouble. Ive been driving 33 years and can say that cars are getting worse for reliability.

Garage rang last week and said my car is fixed and ready to collect, down I went to collect it and made it half way home when the gearbox started making noises so back to the dealer I went and told them the noise is back they couldn't believe it so the service manager drove the car and he could hear the noise. They cannot fix the issue I'm told so they are giving me a new focus st line. It will be ready in the first week of July.

You an all reviewers should stop comparing hatchbacks with Škoda Oktavia,it is a much bigger car,if you want to compere it with Škoda then comper it with the Rapid spaceback. And why nobody talks about focus clever suspension scanning system?
Looking at the video, the interior seems rather claustrophobic - the view out of the rear looks very poor and those front screen pillars look very thick too. Hope they've fixed the Ecoboost's problems.....

Carsten Mortensen I’ve got a Fiesta ST-Line. Yes you can change the background to dark mode all the time. Brighten up the screen a little bit tho cos I find it’s a bit too dark without a little brightness
The tiny boot looks like it would be insufficient for families with young kids. Just over half the size of the Octavia’s boot. I don’t think you’d fit a travel cot, pushchair and travel bags for a weekend away in the boot of the focus.
Every class of car is getting so big; this Focus is no exception but despite this the boot is inadequate at only 375l; less than a VW Polo. I personally don't care about rear seat accommodation too much, but I need a large boot, so all those extra inches of length are used in the wrong place for me and make the car harder to park or see out of the back. Disappointing that this review didn't cover the different rear suspension (and gearbox) options that are fitted depending on whether the car is a lower or higher range model. I care about this and the resultant driving characteristics far more than cubby holes for snacks and the scratchiness of lower interior plastics that are always mentioned. Rebecca is an excellent presenter but What Car needs to do much better in its reviews. Car Wow does it much better.....

The 2018 Subaru Impreza family hatchback is a far better car. The Focus is inferior in every way. As for everyone slobbering over this woman, get a grip she doesn't even know you.
Interesting fleet car. What I see is that the basic clipper diesel is only available in a 95 HP engine. We still buy new diesels as fleet vehicles. Imagine being a salesman and your clipper stowed with goods then you fall back on the weak 95 horse performance of the Sierra Clipper turbo diesel of the 90ies which was simply too (annoying) slow. Same old problem with Ford. Honestly you don't see the new Focus much on our streets in Belgium and after all it's line ain't bad at all in a clipper. Talking ONLY clipper version. Now I had that nice Sierra 1.9 turbo diesel as a company car (blue metallic) and it was too slow and too heavy to be honest. Now new Focus needs an existing 120HP diesel engine in the clipper basic version equipped with an utility business config at around a good 2500 euros ( park assist, GPS, automatic break, lane assist, head up display, metallic color, automatic rear door to get sold as a fleet car in my country. If I were a salesman performance would definitely play a role in my choice in this price range I could choose from let's say gross price at 27000 euros. Basically a 25000 euros 120H diesel clipper base and a good 2000 euros business pack and a fleet reduction on the car price up to 20% depending on customer's fleet potential. Yep, do it!

I was very very impressed with the test drive. Decided on frozen white as I'm thinking most will go for Island blue.

My 2019 ST line has to get a new gearbox at just 3000km and its taking 6 weeks to get the gearbox.
The SYNC3 system has dark background... ? It looks much Better Than the white and Blue it normaly has. Is that easy to Change???

180 bhp and 8,9 sec 0-60? Its not good enough....a deal breaker for me... I test drove a preowned Volvo V40 T4 (190bhp) and it was fast, 0-60 in 6,8.
0-60 irrellevant on most journeys as you will lose that 3 seconds somewhere. If you want real performance get a motorbike

This car is not up against Scoda Octavia. That car costs about 10k USD more so it's not comparable.
