So, 2024 and I just bought a 2019 Focus ST-Line with only 19,000 klms (11,300miles) I love it, it is everything and more that was described in the video. It drives perfectly and the seats are really comfortable An absolute winner for Ford
I think it's a looker front and back (particularly in ST-Line form), but there are a few hatchbacks around at the moment that have similar rear ends...
NewMotoring this is the first focus that I really like the look of. The previous one (not sure what mk that was ) looked good. The models previous to that were terrible. (IMO)
Bought one of these in white a couple of months ago for £18,500 with 1,400 miles on the clock ex-display. Doesn't have all the parking sensor crap & only has the smaller 6.5" touch screen without sat-nav (figured I'd used Apple car play if I needed a navigation system). But man I move it, drives like a dream & you can actually do 0 to 60 in about 9 seconds Ford underrates the 123HP engine quite a lot. I have driven cars that cost twice as much & aren't nearly as fun to drive or as quiet either. Makes the older Focuses look tiny in comparison though, it's a really wide car for its segment.
You got a deal - they're expensive machines new! Apple CarPlay makes nav redundant for some, but not for everyone. But agreed - it's a cracking drive but big compared to the MK1!
A tricky decision... 🤔 If there's nothing wrong with the MK3 just stick with it, but when the time comes to move on make sure you test drive the MK4. It's exactly what it needed to be!
Anyone watching from USA/Canada, Let's all do our part to Petition Ford Customer Service and tell them we want the all-new Focus to return to the U.S./North America. If we all contact FORD U.S., they'll listen to their customers! Thank you for your help in this effort
Quick correction to the specs mentioned in the video: both variants of the 1.5 petrol (150ps and 182ps) are three-cylinders. Arguably more characterful than the four-cylinder predecessors but that's pretty subjective and I'll let the professional reviewer make the call there.
@@BaMbOoZeD - true of the Mk3 Focus but this is a review of the Mk4 which has never been available with a four cylinder petrol (at least not until the 2.3 ST comes out).
@@Henderson10102 Also for mk 3.5 and so on. Also the same for c-max, s-max. But I know this review is for the new focus mk4, but it's still a four cylinder for 18 models 😋 so not all models of the new focus will come with a three cylinder engine. Just like in the new faceliftet Mondeo.
@@BaMbOoZeD Soooo... I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or not as the only 18 models with a 4 cylinder were, again, the mk3. I tested the 1.0 yesterday. And it was really good. And fun, but I need to try the 1.5 because I think the sporty fun st line deserves more power. But the interior, so boring unfortunately. I will se if I can look past that.
What’s your thoughts on Ford changing the multi link suspension (that everyone has been applauding) for a cheap torsion beam suspension? I’m having to terminate a lease contract because of it. 🤬
Its crazy how much the price has jumped since filming, my friend picked up a 1l Ecoboost st line automatic in blue and it was just over £25,000 (with no options, no heated seats or sensors etc)
@@newmotoringTest drive now done, I Thought it was very smooth, A bit of sound through the exhaust drove really well for a 3 cylinder, much nicer than the first ever 3 cylinder car I had. Fabulous! I would personally go for a Titanium rather than an ST Line due to the softer suspension, but the 1.0 litre engine in this car is definitely the car I would prefer. The paint is quite good, isn't it?
He is right you know i have had a ford focus mk2 for around 7 years absolutely love that car however she getting a bit long in the tooth. Want a new car looked at a focus straight away not really considered much else's
Hi Manuel. I have just bought the 182 petrol which, unlike the review here would suggest, is still a three cylinder. Sadly, I can't speak of the Honda directly, having not driven one, but my friend does own one and also thinks highly of his. For outright driving character whilst retaining enough comfort and refinement on journeys, I'd recommend the Focus. The engine is especially characterful. It also has a much better infotainment system. I like it's placing further up on the dash as well. For practically and (probably) economy, the Honda is your best bet. There is plenty of room in the rear of both cars but the Honda has a huge boot. I don't think there is much in it when comparing interiors... both seem well built, the Honda is little more rugged but, to me, I prefer the design of the Ford. For context, I used to drive a 184ps Seat Leon diesel. The Ford doesn't feel quite as quick during casual driving (the substantially lower torque is to blame there) and I'm not impressed by the Ford's real-world economy but refinement was such a huge step up. That would also be true of the Honda but, in that instance, driving dynamics would be a step down. Steering in the Ford is tricky to get used to and remains a little detached in the way many electronically assisted systems do but I don't think it's any different in the Honda and is something I'm getting used to. Happy shopping!
How strange, just watching videos about fiestas, went to your Chanel to see (for the first time) what kind of cars you have reviewed, and here’s a review of the focus. (Which I’m considering as well) How strange haha😌

Does the 2019 st line version come with bang and Olson stereo.???
NewMotoring multi link or twist beam ?
Great review as always. But there have been no subsequent videos. Very sad :-(
Front looks ok, rear is a mess should have found a way to have the rear lights vertical like the mk1
