Much prefer the look of this Focus to the newer one. Have had a couple in the past - mk1 and 2 - and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Great cars, cheap as chips to run and insure, and practical.

I have the 1.5 ecoblue diesel. I love the lane assist on the motorway and enjoy the engine in sport mode. Not got the claimed 80 mpg on a run though..Its got enough power for me..95 hp, but I imagine the 2.0 litre would be more fun across the country.

Have a titanium estate mk4 2021 it has a 1.0 ltr engine 125 bhp but is beautiful to drive and is really practical for my carp fishing and don’t underestimate that little 1.0ltr engine it’s great

@@ngacnido you have to run it on high octane or do you just loose power if you put the cheap stuff in?

@@miniaturefun-guy You can put any fuel and you just loose power

@@ngacni interesting. I’m looking at 2019 st line x. I think it has the newer chain driven engine. If it’s the old wet belt I might pass.

Active is not 4 wheel drive but so are 90% of suv and crossovers.

Unless it's a proper off roader suv, why not get a hatchback or a wagon? We've always been neglected in the US when it came to the focus. They were almost never the same as the euro markets car save for the first gen the most recent RS

There is no 4-cylinder petrol in these anymore. All the petrols are 3-cylinders apart from the 2.3 ST. The 1-liter petrol still has a timing belt, the 1.5's went back to timing chains and they have no replacement interval

I have the st line 1.0 ecoboost 125 bhp mild hybrid and it’s a timing chain .

Hi I have £10k to spend on a hatchback Focus. Can you advise between the 1.0 and the 1.5 petrols please? I only do 5k miles per year but don't want to buy the wrong car and I can't find a comparison vid. Thanks.
