Thanks for the video!! Super helpful. And I actually found the way to save the videos directly to the camera roll. What I did is I selected the video file AND the text file next to it. This saved all the videos straight to photos app!!

OH MY GOSH!!! for a ten minute video it would take over an hour to get from zv1 to my iphone. So obviously a long time but also I couldnt use my phone. Also the connection would go bad and after 40 minutes of waiting if I wasnt WATCHING my phone the connection woudl go bad and if I didnt press "continue with wifi" my 40 minutes of progress would stop and I would have to start all over again. Lastly not sure why but through the sony app it kept saying I didnt have enough GB. ........ WHAT YOU JUST SHARED....THIS TOOK 7 MINUTES. PLENTLY of GB left over. Honestly your video overwhelmed me at first. But you got me into files and I coulndt quite follow you any more but after pressing random buttons, it worked!! I have been so frustrated/overwhelmed/defeated... THANKYOU SOO SOO SOO MUCH!!

I have spent at least 8 hours of searching and fiddling to no avail trying to transfer video files from my Sony RX100 VII to my iPad. Your video finally broke the code. And I find the save step is easier now. Just hit "Save Video." Thanks SO much.

I’ve been transferring my videos from the Sony a7iii to my iPad Pro with the usb camera adapter cable and it’s been working for ever since I had it until today. Then suddenly it won’t transfer videos anymore. I was looking for another way and found your video. It works, so thanks for that. Only downside is that the videos aren’t found inside the regular photos app anymore
Justin Brenn well, I get that problem sometimes, but after copying in the files to the file folder, re-select and hit share, then hit save photo. Sometimes it take a while to be in the app, but then go to your albums and go to recent and they’re usually there. Select and make an album..

But either way it es w big saver today cause I have no idea why it decided to stop working the usb has always worked well to get the photos, but video is always difficulty I get and does take forever with the usb camera adapter. Do this is a much quicker way, so that’ll be nice and I can open it straight into LumaFusion

Just to clarify, how exactly did you move the RAW files? don't see any option when doing it wirelessly on the app. I'm guessing you can "import' them from the corded option?
You sir, are a god send.... by FAR the easiest damn video... if you knew how hard it was for me to transfer these damn videos and it took me 5 seconds to do this lol

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing this information. BUT, I still have an issue. And I think that’s a failure on my part because of how I recorded the video footage. I have an alpha 6000 and recorded in AVCHD. I think that is my oops. I had a couple videos recorded in MP4 that I could successfully transfer using this method, but the AVCHD was still a bust. I was able to transfer audio, but no video with it rendering it useless....well, on the iPad at least. I am going to try a video in XAVCS and make sure that works. But I still wish I could transfer a fair chunk of AVCHD vids to my iPad without an act of Congress to get it to happen. Lol So if anyone knows how to get it to transfer as easily as this, let me know. Or tell me don’t EVER record in AVCHD again. 😆 Thanks again!

I have a micro sd card inserted into an sd card reader. I then inserted the card into the lightening camera reader, the photos and vids show up on my iPad, but I can’t tap on them, they’re greyed out. Know what the problem might be?
I don’t think going from card to phone to computer is a good work flow. When you say “plug it in” what are you trying to accomplish and what are you plugging it into?
@@FeedbackWrench Just doing what the video instrcts by plugging my camera into my iphone to transfer my video files. Using the cord that came with the sony camera and a usb to lightening adapter.
Video still isn’t showing in the files tabs. I see the avchd folder but the videos aren’t in any of the folders by using the apple sd card dongle. Wish it would work
I know this is an old video but hopefully someone can help me out, recently just got the a6700 and whenever i transfer my raw files to my iphone’s photo album it’s just blank unless i open the raw file with lightroom..
