Great start to the build! Bottom of the engine didn’t look bad but man that was a lot of oil buildup under there! Can’t get over how good a shape that hood/grill is in.
@@2TimeGarage me too guys. I ordered steering parts for it back on Jan 9. USPS “lost” one of the packages. The other part I ordered came from…China. But wasn’t listed as such plainly on eBay. It’s very upsetting to say the least. That probably isn’t getting worked on until next weekend because of it all.
you can flip the whole linkage on the clutch to the middle, then you can run any pulley you want. a channel called "Chud327" has a video on "general lee" that he did that on, and it worked great. Im also doing it to Big Red, and have done it to an LT1000 to put a 7 on the engine.
@@BlackFlagGarage agreed, 1st I’ve seen one up close. It’s built fairly well. A couple people have already made a suggestion here and on messenger the frame needs a bit of reinforcement. I’m thinking maybe a piece of angle steel down the inside of the frame at the bottom.
@@Tennesseemountainhomestead This is true. I have an LT1000 I use to cruise the backroads with. I've driven it hundreds of miles. The frame is flimsy and WILL tweak. A couple of cross reinforcements in the back and to the body should keep it from flexing.
Yes, you take the clutch pulley and downsize it to a 2 inch and then you can put a 5 1/2 inch on the front and I am running a 6 inch on the rear I believe you can go down to a 4 inch on the rear and that should get you up to about 30 to 40 km an hour I believe mine does like 27 or 28 km an hour in sixth gear

I think Cletus is the same kinda rig lol just can't tell cause he's rough lol. And I'm doing the same getting cletus running and upgrading when I can afford learn what I like don't like and such.
I have a craftsman GT 5000 riding tractor mower. The governor Spring is messed up on it. I really don’t need it. I have a Troy bill bronco that’s got a 22 hp Kohler engine. The only thing that’s wrong with. It is the wire from the ignition that goes to the coil shorted out, but it still runs. I don’t need it either. Would you wanna make a deal on a couple of them?

This is the first I’ve been under the tractor. So far it seems like a decent rig. Couple people told me the frame needs reinforcement or it deforms.
