Hello dear Alex, seems to me as if the idea of a foldable table works pretty well! Nice rebuild as always and it’s fun and teaching to watch you! Have a nice weekend now and I will see you in 2025 again 😀🍀🌞🎉🍾🎉🎊🥳
Great find Great Fix. Great video. Hey Alex I like ur steel toed Safety Shoes mate. Safety First 🤔🤫😎😎🤓🤓😁😁😁😁 just Kidding. Have A good day. Enjoy your videos mate
Alex, the previous owner got his money's worth on those front tires. That was well worth the $100 you gave for that tractor. I agree that machine should bring $1000+ for sure. Really nice repair. I bet you have a really good reputation in your area. You don't cut any corners and that makes for a dependable tractor that looks as good as it runs! Goodluck in 2025 sir! 👏🔧🇺🇸
I'm glad you liked the video. I put a lot of work into my projects, but it's all worth it when I can make something reliable again. I have gotten a lot of compliments from machines people have bought but there are always some that people say I tried to pull something on them. I do my best. I hope you have a great new year Roger 😎
Awesome video! You did a great job on the tractor. It came out looking amazing. You always do a great job with how much detail you put in your videos. Hope to see more videos soon. 🙂
Looks like a simple made lawn mower. Doesn't even have that stupid mow in reverse safety. I wouldn't mind owning something like that. Nice job fixing this one up.
Looks like you've done a really good job fixing that rider. i was surprised at how well it looked. You can sure tell it was kept inside when it wasn't being used!! Great job!!!
This one came out looking great. You should have a nice Spring. Mine is looking pretty good too. I have 2 riding mowers, 5 push mowers, and a blower ready right now. I still have a few more to get ready, but they all need a little work.
Wish I lived near you Alex. I would weld those two anti scalp wheels on for you where they would be better than new. That little Titanium welder did good.
I had a relative give me a commercial Craftsman with a similar toe out issue. I replaced the drag links (steering arms) and it fixed the problem. I eventually found out that the first owner of this machine hit it with a full size tractor. You couldn't visibly tell that they were bent on the machine, but I definitely could when I put the old one beside the new one. That is probably what was going on with this machine.
Lol. I can tell you have experience with those Nikki carbs. If you have worked on them before, then you know to grab the channel locks for those bowl screws. Using a screwdriver will just end in a lot of disappointment.
@@freedommowers420 shiii thank you man ...july 29th i aint really touched a mower since been off for my 2nd hernia blow out ...now since i been off i have a giiant 3rd hernia ...i miss is so much cant wait to be back at it .....hopefully another year ill be set to make some loot
@@fartsackjack7081 If those were the hiatal kind, the surgeon screwed up bigtime! While he was in there he should have installed mesh all the way across so the next ones could never happen!
The drag links (steering arms) were definitely shot on this machine. The bent drag links are probably what caused the steering gear to wear out like that.
At 13:05 the word isn’t Venturi, it’s Bernoulli's principle. Yes, airflow within the throat of the carb is affected by the Venturi, or decreased diameter area, but the fuel being drawn into the throat of the carb from that tiny orifice in the side of the throat is a result of Bernoulli's principle. This principle can be illustrated by forcing air across the opening of a straw, which will pull a liquid up from below. In a more appropriate example, after washing off a machine with blind fastener holes exposed, I use shop air with a blow gun to pull all the water out of the holes by holding the airflow perpendicular to the holes. The water is sucked right out and away from me, as opposed to blowing air directly into the holes, which may force most of the water out, but not all, and in the process splashes water directly into my face. These are two different but related fluid dynamics principles which can be mislabeled, much the same as “leverage” versus “torque”. Don’t get me started! 😂😉🔧👍
Great mower neighbor up the street bought one brand new with a bagger never put any oil in it and first pass blew the motor. I trash picked it and put a new motor in it been running it for years with no problems. Was wondering if you know what light bulbs the headlights are since mine didn't come with any.
I changed Drag links on my Craftsman recently and I had to drop that steering plate. You can reach that nut from the back side. It takes a minute to maneuver around everything, but a ratchet will fit in there. You don't have to pull the crankshaft pulley to access it. I had to go in from the back, insert the ratchet handle first. It took a minute, but I got it in there, lol. Why the hell did they not just thread the plate instead of using a nut? That was an unnecessary pain in the ass.
Do u know Ken from Kens small engine repair aka Mr Mow IT All??? He has a livestream every Saturday at 2pm u should stop by sometime when u can. They talk small engines and other things as well.

You’re way more generous than I am, Alex! I would have charged him to haul it away with all the issues it had! 😂👍

That looks like an $800 mower now! Awesome job.
It was definitely worth the effort!
Nice job! That is a great looking machine for its age.
Thanks for watching, I hope it inspires others to give it a shot!

Thanks so much for the compliments, I really appreciate it!
Nice job filming and working underneath the tractor. You made it look easy!
Thanks for watching, it’s not as easy as it looks! Both of us know that. It was a long video to edit so hopefully people enjoy.

It's a great machine, I've been happy with it so far after fixing it and testing it. These older craftsman’s hold up well if not abused.
Nice job alex. Hope you are doing well thanks for all the great videos.

It definitely had been stored properly! Thanks for watching. It was a pretty good amount of work, but worth it.

Thank you so much. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season. I’ve had a great one spending time with my family.

Some of those main jets pop in through the top of the plastic float housing. They tend to fall out into the bowl.👍
That was about the cleanest carb I have ever seen on an old mower. It had to be replaced at some point.
Little clear nail polish helps seal the Welch plug.
Hope you had a great Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too! I hope you enjoyed the holiday.

They are solid machines.

Do you put your batteries in the house to keep them warm during winter ??

Do you have a link to that manual Tire changer?
shop tour?
Agree
Maybe. There isn’t much shop to look at. It’s about 12x14ft. I try to keep it as minimal as possibly because I don’t have much room.
Minimal with everything you need.
It would only bring about 450/550 in my area if it’s in top condition 😢😢
So just keep it till spring 😊😊😊
Yea it would sell right now for that price. In spring I’m hoping for max profit.
Nothing is as good as a leak down test to start with and valves adjusted, the carbs away need cleaning
Yes I really need to get a leak down tester.

Cringe AF. Life... get one.
What do you do for work? You have the skills to be making 6 figures at a shop doing this type of work.
Hoping to start doing small engine repair full time for myself this next year. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force.
@ good for you man. That sounds great. Best of luck.
