**UPDATE…We have spoken to Nicks Boots, and they were generous enough to now offer this boot in THREE options!!! You can now choose between… 1) smooth & roughout leathers (as seen in video) 2) all roughout 3) all smooth leather Check them out here: nicksboots.com/trenton-heath-x-nicks-wingtip-stag-boot-collab/
Nicks is knocking it out of the park with all of their collabs. We have Trenton & Heath, Carl Murawski, Nobleman's Exchange, Rose Anvil, etc. All of them are awesome. What's great is that the collabs are very different from each other, giving the prospective buyer so many cool options that are different from the standard offerings, while keeping the quality standards that Nicks is loved for.
You folks should try PAC NW boots that are their work boots rather than just their fashion boots. I know that 90% of today’s boot wearers are for fashion and because it’s trendy but their work boots really shine in tough work conditions.
As a recent convert to well-crafted boots (largely due to my discovery of this channel), I was peripherally aware of Nick's and how they make great products. So when I saw that you guys were collaborating with Nick's to create a boot, I jumped on and ordered a pair immediately! They finally came in today! Loved them right out of the box! Stellar craftsmanship and material quality makes it feel like I will be able to pass them down to my grandkids someday! Definitely worth every penny! Great job, guys!
Those look amazing. Those who buy them (wish they were within my budget) will be getting the best made dress boots they'll ever find. They don't look like Nick's usual offerings which I think is part of what I like about them. Not that their boots aren't good looking, but they mostly put function over appearance. These have all the toughness while still looking great. The rough out on the heal and front will just add to the wear resistance.
I love it! It's definitely NOT my boot, but my God it's gorgeous and unique. Once you get this boot, you KNOW that nobody you ever meet will have had something like it.
So glad to see Nicks reaching out to other UA-cam channels and doing collabs which benefits everyone involved and gives us the people very creative boots to buy
I've been in a boot deep-dive for about a week. As a kid growing up, my mother could often only afford one pair of shoes for me each school year. That all changed when I was 14 when I began working Summer jobs and buying my own shoes/boots. Recognizing the importance of quality footwear, my motto has always been, "take care of your feet and your feet will take care of you." In recent years I've veered away from that somewhat and at 55 yo my feet aren't happy, so I've immersed myself into the handmade shoe/boot world, watching countless videos and dozens of yours in particular. I'd narrowed it down White's and Nick's and spent hours at each website drowning in choices. But today all that is behind me as this will be my first handmade boot since 1989 when I bought some Buffalo Boot Co Loggers (White's?) for the then whopping $225. Thanks for helping me land on Nick's with this classic, stylishly handsome and rugged design. Now I just need to get a load to Spokane for my fitting! New subscriber too!
That is a sweet boot. I like this new design idea. It's kinda like a lifetime boot. You can buy it as a nice boot that can be worn to formal events and when it starts to get a little too tired, you can use it as a work and outdoor boot. Even resole it for construction site and/or hunting boot.
Mission accomplished. You nailed the 100-year-old British country gentleman aesthetic. The rough out at heel and toe handle the elements. without scuffing.
I'm starting to dig the wing-tip portion. Love the rough out. I'll have to call and see if the last accommodates a wider foot. These could be good for work-casual
I saw the wing tip and absolutely hated the look of these, then I saw them with a pair of blue jeans and I instantly changed my mind. A very nice dress boot!
Mine were just delivered. WOOT! WOOT! Apparently, I got my order in just before the deadline. Ordered them directly at the factory and store. At that price point, I wanted to make sure I ordered the proper size. Ordered the Smooth on smooth. Non-contrasting color. They look great and fit right. They are going to be a beast to break in. Now I just have to decide if I go with or without the false tongue. Do I brogue the false tongue or not? Hmmmm....... Took a while. From Order to Delivered - 191 days - 26 weeks 4 days - 6 months, 1 week and 3 days, but who's counting. They actually took a lot less time to get than the customized Lucchese Boots I ordered, which took 42 weeks
Congratulations y'all. Not my cup of tea, but it's awesome that y'all had this collaboration. The break in is going to be rough I imagine with how thick that leather is, but they'll probably last forever.
I really like that you guys designed the boot around having the ability to have them resoled at some point! That's pretty cool and it's that kind of attention to detail and forethought that makes this an awesome collaboration, congrats guys you deserve it!! 👍👍
What a grand slam...The moment I saw them, I couldn't even finish watching the video. I spotted the Buy Here Link above and placed my order instantly. I just had to have a pair in my life no questions asked. Congrats again guys and get out my head.
Excellent looking boots! Being British and having grown up around the sort of country types you mention you did really well getting the feeling right. The smooth leather shade is very close to the old army Officer boots my late Grandfather wore when he served as a General in the British Army and the shade of suede reminds me of the classic Dessert Boots he wore when he fought in North Africa in WWII. I think the only thing I would change which is easy is to go for sturdy brown fabric laces. As for price. I often see folks when talking about Nicks or other PNW hand made boots and almost embarresed to mention the price. You guys have pulled apart fashion brands who charge four times the price of these boots and have seen how cheaply and badly made they are. For the quality and hand work and decent living wages paid honestly, six hundred bucks in 2022 is not a lot of money for all that and for a boot that will last decades and is full refurbishable.
I've recently just got into more of the details of construction on my boots after finding your videos. Definitely going to be checking Nicks out after this pair I have now runs out. I typically spend 200-250 on boots. However, after watching an ungodly amount of these videos and seeing the attention to detail, construction, and materials used on your restorations. I will be looking at better boots for sure. I've been doing leather work for about 6-7 years now, and it's amazing to see how durable the material is when you take care of it. Thank you for all the information you make accessible to the community. Congratulations on the the collaboration! Well deserved!
Nick's makes a great boot. I have two pairs. They are similar to Wesco's, but a bit more slender and streamlined, at least to my eye. Workmanship and materials are first rate. Like all the major Pacific northwest bootmakers, they are really back-ordered at the moment. I ordered a pair of Wesco's in January and the build time was 37 weeks. You can't be in a hurry!
Great choice of the wing tip. I like the color and the choice of the contrasting rough out. It doesn’t appear to be a 55 last, which will appeal to a broader group, but man those high arches are so comfortable after they break in.
What an amazing boot. I would probably go for all smooth. I fear that i would put them in a display case and never wear them, so nice. The price, considering quality and skill is adequate.
I've looked at a lot of wingtip boots, and these are the only ones that've ever looked off to me. I don't know if it's the proportions, the alignment, the rough-out, the two-tone, the lack of broguing, or what, but they don't look quite right to me. Maybe if the wingtips didn't go so far up the vamp and had a broader point. Pretty cool collaboration though. Shame they couldn't go as dressy as you guys would've liked.
Thank you for your comment. With any collaboration both partners have to do a little push and pull and make something that everyone feels represents what they do best. We wanted to honor what Nicks has been doing for far longer than us.
Ordered! My finances are going to hate me for the next few months, you only live once :p I own a few boots from Nicks, 1st pair are finally breaking in and they are getting amazingly comfortable. Support our American artisans! God Bless America!
This is the shoe I tried to have nicks make! My goodness there they are. The options weren’t available. I obviously never found exactly what I wanted so I never pulled the trigger. Now I need a pair
Wow, was expecting to hear a higher price. I think that sounds reasonable for a limited pair of Nick's! Those boots look like they would survive a war!! Very rugged.
I was very interested in these as a customer of both Nick's as well as y'all. But I think not having the broguing was a huge miss on these, the scalloped toe cap with no broguing looks incomplete or out of place. That said I hope you sellout on these and I wish you all the best. I'll continue to be a customer and support you both.
Well done gents! That is a very sharp looking boot. I can't wait to see pics of these out in the wild. I'm thrilled you were able to do this collaboration to crank out something new and unique.
My favorite pair of boots are my Red Wing Brouged Wingtip Iron Rangers (8127)…….so I think this is a FABULOUS idea! I hope this is a successful venture!
My idea for a Buckin collab would be like one of their dressier moc toe boots in brown waxed flesh with a leather sole and the logger heel. It would be a boot buckin could take his lady out out on the town. With the leather sole it would be great for drumming and dancing!! I’m gonna contact Grant at Nicks and suggest it. What do you think Buckin!?
Definitely a good balance between classic, woodland, and a touch of rugged Nick's quality. Too bad I'm outta the States at the moment. Maybe I'll cop the a future design! Cheers bros!
Really enjoy your videos. I have been wanting to buy a pair of Nicks for a while, but kept putting it off. I ordered the Trenton and Heath collaboration after watching the video. Now I just have to wait 16 to 20 weeks!
I was on the fence at first, but I'm sold, love em, unique great looking and great quality boots. I expected the price tag to be a little higher I think that's fair pricing for Nick's
Hi! Im a young boy who bought a pair of Irish setter ashbys and I was wondering if it’s better to use boot cream or saddle soap whenever they need to be taken care of. I see people using different things so I wanted to know what you guys recommend for cleaning/conditioning these boots. I want to make these last quite a while. Thanks for the amazing videos!
They look awesome fellas and Nick's quality is just insane. I live in Thailand now so boots are not good for this climate. I think I would want black and maroon too. I don't even wear my Lobbs here. If I come back, this will be the first thing I buy.
Congratulations! Alas, I won’t be getting this collaboration because it doesn’t have pinking, broguing, and a storm welt like something a true country boot like a Tticker’s Stow boot. If Nick’s and you ever release a true country boot, I’ll be ready to get a pair! Great job.
Phenomenal collab guys, really well done, love the style and look of these. After watching the "How they are Made" video I am super impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of everything that Nick's makes. Watching those guys pull and stretch that beast leather over the last was nothing short of amazing. Bravo....
These are incredible. I'd love a pair, but I just can't afford them, unfortunately. I have to buy all of my nice shoes used and recondition them in order to be able to afford them at all. Maybe I'll find a pair of used ones out there someday. :)
Love it generally. But I have a question for you. I know this is an older video, but would appreciate a response (don't know why this just popped up in my feed since I am a subscriber). I have a couple pairs of Nicks boots. Super rugged of course. However, I think they are un-necessarily clunky. The sole is not trimmed close to the boot upper. It is like a big wide snow shoe. It could be so much sleeker if they trimmed the instep area closer than they do. Why do the do this? Is it a functional thing? What do you think about it and would you do it differently. I have thought about taking my Nicks boots into my local shop to have the soles reshaped and the instep sanded down.
First glance I was not a fan but I'm warming up to it. I really wish Nick's was able to do the brogueing. It's what I love about my Tricker's and I think it keeps the wingtip from being just a slab of leather on top of leather.
I wanted to post that yesterday but didn’t. Yes, it’s off centered. And when I went to the website Nick’s, you can look at them up close. They don’t show the front of the boots. 😂 And the stitching is wonky. Something is way off with them. I wouldn’t spend 600 on them.
**UPDATE…We have spoken to Nicks Boots, and they were generous enough to now offer this boot in THREE options!!! You can now choose between…

Thanks for the update.
Although there are 3 options, there are only pics available for one of them correct? I am not seeing a visual representation for the other two. Thx
Your link is broken.

First glance I was not a fan but I'm warming up to it. I really wish Nick's was able to do the brogueing. It's what I love about my Tricker's and I think it keeps the wingtip from being just a slab of leather on top of leather.
Dainite soles would be good choice on those boots as well.
Is it just me or the wingtip isn't really centered on the right boot? Otherwise looking great.
I wanted to post that yesterday but didn’t. Yes, it’s off centered. And when I went to the website Nick’s, you can look at them up close. They don’t show the front of the boots. 😂 And the stitching is wonky. Something is way off with them. I wouldn’t spend 600 on them.
These are fire boots wish I had a pair
So damned classy! Gorgeous collaboration.
