    The last time I was this early, Dratnos was still raiding from a submarine in the MNS at 5:31 am in the morning.

    Big respect for not skipping PvP changes :)
    The changes are actually quite huge. It means that we dont have to choose between PvE and PvP progression.
    We can now do m+ and PvP on the SAME character without beeing behind.
    Its an amazing change.

    TBH leech and avoidance shouldn't scale with ilvl, so they don't get so silly at the end of the expansion and so irrelevant at the start. Can have it scale with required level so that levelling/last expansion gear doesn't give much if that's a concern.

    Not sure what to think about the frost dk changes. Maybe it’ll feel better having a more powerful base kit with less frequent pillar windows?? But I’m also sad that obliteration isn’t buffing the frost strikes. That felt good.

    A note on mongoose fury, I personally enjoy when things extend cooldowns longer. Instead of a maintenance buff direction, I think it would be cool if pressing mongoose fury extended some other big cooldown so it became specifically exciting to press.

    Notable exclusion from the leech+avoidance nerfs is the Shaman class tree single point node that grants both 2% leech and 2% "avoidance" (not sure if it is counted as avoidance in stats, but it does the same thing)
    Granted it could just be that this node will be addressed with the Shaman changes.

      @@GUkraine Shaman used to be my main from Vanilla all the way up to Shadowlands. I finally gave up on it because it had become grossly bloated and just a gigantic whack-a-mole spec. Finally decided to try Survival out during Shadowlands and fell in love.

    I like the idea for Warrior's to make Demolish tied to Thunder Clap's range. And now that Blood and Thunder is baseline and we can run Crackling Thunder again, this would also tie into increasing Demolish's range.

    About the shadowpan change: It's pretty irrelevant. Stacks are capped at 10 currently and you can only discharge them after spending 400 energy (arround 30-35 sec). Previously you could get to 10 stack in 1-2 gcd. Even if it takes more time it won't really matter as you will reach the cap anyway.

    from what i understand about arcane, they dont need anymore charge procs right now. its so easy to get 4 charges constantly. And the missiles changes apparently have severly impacted the viability of missiles build in single target. Though I don't know too much, still slowly learning arcane as we get closer to TWW. Glad to see changes though. cant wait to see shaman changes next week. enh is super fun already so if they change that at all and make it better i might be swayed away from arcane

      new arcane talents are garbage by every metric and in fact ruined the spec. terrible minor dmg increase bloat.

      @@Daimyo- i agree and put another talent to pick just to get harmony. They were doing fine with the way it was, not sure who asked for these or why they went this way at all. I really wish there was one dev to talk to just to hear their thought process on some of these changes. They did make arcane easier to play but now it feels like pressing random buttons where it used to have methodical process for an effect.

    Really wish totemic projection and other totem related talents weren't seperate buttons but instead just make you able to do something like move it by pressing the bind again. Shaman feels so bloated cus of those important but not in the least fun or cool spells.

      Chi doesn't work as it is an ww exclusive ressource. Charge generation on energy spent could be either a really good hit or big miss. Energy spent was in the flurry cycle but was largely disliked because energy classes don't like haste at all in general. It could either make haste more valuable or be ignored entirely and leave it as a pseudo cooldown.

    Classes like dh leech is ridiculous! I'd like to see them give dps dhs a heal and pull away from leech to get them on the level of every other class that has to use a gcd defensively instead of blowing offensive cds.

    That reaver change is directed at VDH. Seems like that hero tree is only geared towards raid parsing as tank.

      The only thing VDH needed is a debuff that makes them die every 60 seconds while in combat. And with any point in the hero tree you reduce that chance by 1% while also reducing resource generation and stamina by 10%. Easy solve.

    I wish they would just add a way to get tertiary stats that you desire - like once you are full sockets you just buy leech/avoidance (oh, and let blacksmiths make an item to make your gear indestructible). Rather than nerfing them to not matter.

      @@martynjeffries937 not sure what you mean. You can already add sockets and they don't count as a tertiary stat. So you can have avoidance rating plus an added socket on a piece of gear. It would probably be a niche situation to gem a tertiary stat over your preferred secondary stat

    The leech nerf for Havoc DH is weird. DH hat always that leech, it was a spec defining feature. Now having the same as everyone else makes no sense

    My hope is that if they keep nerfing this new version of wildfire infusion, they'll just revert it back to the colored bombs. Also I am not a fan of the Flanking Strike change, if my monk experiences have taught me anything that leap is going to get me killed eventually.

    Terrible flanking strike change. I really hope they do a WW skyreach change to it. Either flanking strike or make your pet stomp aoe every 4th KC. Been maining sv since bfa and flanking strike is toxic

    i think in addition to nerfing it, they should soft cap it earlier and make the drop rate much higher on gear with the stats. might be a season 4 thing, but in theory, you could get myth pieces with leech every week in vault and just destroy every other player in self sustain just by winning the leech lottery, like on live now, getting 4 leech pieces on dh is an entire frailty stack o f self healing, that is pretty nuts, i have one big leech piece and leech is one of my biggest heals on a tank, in aoe packs.

    Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if this is mostly targeted to affect tanks the most.
    Tanking got ridiculously easy in dragonflight and this might be what they're doing in order to make healers feel more impactful during the fight instead of everyone just sustaining themselves (ie the MDI runs that were finished without healers) through defensives, avoidance, and leech.
    Not saying that avoidance and leech were overpowered, but it might be a tuning knob they at least want to experiment with instead of going through each class' defensives.

      The reason stated is this blizzard speaking our goal is for pieces with those stats to remain valuable, but for the gap between players with and without them to be closer End of blizzard speaking.
      This has nothing to with talents by their own spoken goals of doing the nerf.

      Because they have abilities that convert damage done to healing.

      I think there's a further goal you are missing, that wasn't written here but was mentioned in their recent wowhead interview. They see these stats as something that locks them into the maligned healing philosophy we've had for DF, so want to decrease them in all sources. ​@@havtor007

    To put it simply, Havoc DHs are VERY unhappy right now. I would suggest going through the DH feedback thread if you can find it. Our *only* class/spec tree changes this entire alpha/beta have been overarching design philosophy changes that resulted in nerfs, but weren't targeting us specifically. We have numerous issues with our class and spec trees that have not been addressed at all and our feedback is falling on deaf ears. There have been no changes for fel-scarred which is extremely undertuned and has some design/gameplay issues of it's own, but they are massively overshadowed by the abomination that is the aldrachi reaver tree. In aoe it is has a very restrictive and unfun playstyle that requires near perfect play, with any small mistake (or mechanic targeting you) in your 20ish button opener completely dumpstering your dps. In single target it recently swung to the total opposite problem, where the build is very reminiscent of shadowlands s3 sinful brand playstyle. You take out just about every fun aspect of the spec so that you are *only* playing the hero tree and chaos strike spamming the boss, which no one wants to play. That's not even getting into the almost invisible visuals each tree has. Throughout all of this we have also had zero communication from devs.

      @@MrJray20 first off, mages got reworked 4 months before us and have been getting the most out of this whole alpha/beta cycle despite also being significantly better than havoc DH ever since their rework, so that is an incredibly worthless reason to not receive changes. 2nd, our rework was so minuscule that the dev working on it straight up told us before we saw it that we probably shouldn't even have been referring to it as a rework as it was NOWHERE near the scale that mages or paladins received earlier. 3rd, while that "rework" addressed *some* issues with the class it left many more and was also very clearly done with the season 3 tier set in mind, which we will not only be losing but have also been told there is not intention of working a version of it into the talent tree. 4th, there are supposed to be different devs for different classes for a reason. The whole concept of "let them work on this class first, you'll get your turn" is extremely detrimental to a beta where we are *supposed* to be able to give feedback to updates before it is too late to actually make changes based on that feedback. 5th, I don't understand this bizarre attitude of "my class hasnt had attention so you shouldnt either." Literally who does it help? I am happy that shaman finally had a post telling them that *anything* is coming, but im pissed about DH. Those two things can happen at the same time.

      @@spellingb6569 I was being slightly hyperbolic but I would say we have some of the worst utility in the game. If you're gonna "um actually," provide what abilities you think provide useful utility.
      Why would anyone bring a warrior to a M+ instead of a paladin? Why would any pug invite a warrior at all?

      @@mikehamman645 I’m not um-actuallying you. You said something that’s false. I never said an m+ group will spring to invite warriors, they obviously have no reason to do so. Every raid comp in rwf brings a warrior for rally. You have intimidating shout. Shockwave. Not ideal but not 0.

      @@spellingb6569 after rally’s nerf it’s basically garbage. Shockwave is on the second to last talent row so it’s harder to get than any other aoe stun - and it’s a cone. Not even an aoe.
      We have battle shout but the amount of dps that brings relative to a DH buff is pretty terrible.
      The point in my comment was to give warrior something (lust? A cleanse with intercept?) that allows us to participate in m+ and doesn’t make us a class you basically never bring if you can help it. I’m not talking about raid- they have one spot in raid. But in m+ they are basically non existent.

    I hate that they tune anything based on "extremely high keys." That scene is so far removed from the average player's experience that it should hardly be considered. All this does, honestly, is hurt normal players who need that little bump in survivability to make it through encounters. If they want the difference between having tertiary stats and not be less then why not just remove them?

      @@AndrewATP Sure, we could always get better, but Leech/Avoidance are nice buffers for those on the journey. Also, I think Dratnos is arguing against DR cycling in this video and I tend to agree; mplus bosses shouldn't be designed with the notion that we're plotting out our DR for them 2 min in advance, most of the time.

      @@walrusdojo I mean, thats quite a big part of playing non-tank on higher keys, you have to figure out how to survive x mechanic on keylevel y. You kinda get these scenarios in an infinite scaling system where a boss ability starts to one-shot and if that wasnt the case, where should the difficulty be then? I mean you could turn the binary oneshot mechanics into a big healing check where you would also need to press your defensive cooldowns at some point.. but on topic, tertiary stats are just dumb, they are gained through pure rng or spending $$$ for raidboe's. People that have these items have a BIG advantage over people that dont have them and there is no deterministic way to get them aside from spending the big bucks, so into the bin with that..
