while i get that there is a certain appeal for complex rotations i would really like them to reduce the amount of crap that just clutters your task bars
I think I would like them to reduce he number of abilities that are just DPS increases but don't do anything actively. An example of this is say, slice and dice. I like what slice and dice does, I don't like that it uses up a button I have to press every 30 odd seconds. I'd prefer it being applied through other means, through doing other things that if done a certain way give me SnD. Buttons you press should do something interesting right now, not be something you have to refresh. Blizz has historically gotten rid of fun out of combat abilities rather than combat clutter.
Yeah, ever since MOBAs demonstrated that fewer but more meaningful abilities feels really satisfying to play, having several different buttons that are all "do damage but in a slightly different way" really lost it's appeal. That and the inequality between something RSI-inducing like combat rogue and lower button specs like BM hunter. Why work so hard to do the same dps?

I have some ideas. Particularly regarding Survival hunters. For starters: coordinated assault and spearhead are almost too similar abilities. They should re tweak Aspect of the hawk to be a more offensive cooldown and provide some offensive buffs: namely focus regeneration and haste as to chain together mongoose bites more frequently. There also needs to be passive leech removed from the ferocity pets and built into the main class (giving Ferocity pets a boost to the hunters overall damage or something. Like a 4% boost) (make leech baseline. Marksmen hunters need it too) finally: make it so Survival of the fittest also gets the same passive cooldown reduction as Exhilaration. Those are some ideas, I also believe Kill command could use a rework for survival as well, maybe less overall damage but instead of granting free kill commands; you have a chance to automatically use a second kill command. This will help "Tip of the spear" get far more use and make Suvival's rotation of Kill command and mongoose bite far less clunky.

BTW, what warlock iteration do you like the most, I think affliction in Cata or MoP was the most fun for me. I almost exclusivvely play that, but Legion Demonology and Destruction were so cool I dabbled in them that xpac.
I didn't care that Arcane was a complex rotation, it made it fun. It had other glaring issues like not being able to target swap during RS/TotM windows, or those cds wasted on lower health targets, or holding those cds for even a few seconds would throw them out of sync with AS. Plus RS has a 30 sec cd while TotM has a 45 second and you always hold RS for your TotM mini burn phase, so you'd be sitting on it for 15 seconds which didn't feel good. Mana gem was used as a dps cd instead of using it to gain mana back. The ramp up time for your AS burn is way too long, I think with evocate, the ramp up time was like 10-12 seconds so in m+ mobs would d!e so fast you couldn't even use your full potential, at least until you got up to +15s. There were a few other minor issues it had. I'll probably give it another go in the War Within to see how the new changes pan out. It's the most visually appealing spec in the game imo.
I want less clutter on my action bars. I want meaningful, easy to identify, useful stuff. I don't want to have to push this skill to buff that skill which I found halfway down a talent tree and now I can't remember what that made a different skill do. I'm fine with plain skills having an effect on other plain skills. for example, in vanilla, when choosing a seal that did a thing...and then judgment made it do another thing. that was fine. but it wasn't buried in a orchard. why do ppl think that complexity always equals more fun?
I just want for the Tinker Gems that are kind of healer specific in MOP Remix to be made into hero talents, or at the very least trinkets in retail. Soloing dungeons by spamming Holy Nova with a character named after a character from the anime "The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic" is priceless.
Demonic Core solved the problem that made Demo not fun, so making that less just means Demo will be more un-fun. NO ONE wants to cast one skill for a bajillion years.
How my class changed ? Playing elem and enhancement, so nothing, totemic is so weird, farseer suck, so we are stuck to stormbringer for both, and it have some issues too
@@vaylox09 I think totems need to be reworked/removed. Rework could be done by when you cast an ability you have a chance to automatically drop a totem for additional benefits. Or just remove them and put their abilities into current built in abilities. Having totems is very iconic but a very outdated concept.
Frostscythe now a big cool down instead of AoE Obliterate... well that screws up the whole setup I had, gotta figure where I'm going to put it on my hotbar now, that's comfortable to use. Used to have an AoE Hotbar and a Single Target hotbar setup. More so... Ancient Teachings for Mistweaving, means if the tank doesn't stick to my Jadestomp, I will be out on my ability to fistweave, as I can't refresh it with my backup of Essence Font. This could be a problem... honestly, they should just change it's cooldown to 10s or something, and the talent to improve the change to reset, to simply reduce cooldown.
Good changes, but my gosh can we please just make Roll The Bones a random proc… I’m so tired of buff maintenance on a 1-second GCD class. Pressi g more buttons doesn’t always make it more fun, Blizzard
I’ll never understand why people keep saying that Warrior’s Annihilator was an “alternate playstyle to reduce APM”… it was never that. You were still ALWAYS GCD locked. The point of it was that we wanted to push buttons other than just Raging Blow spam until it stopped resetting. That wasn’t fun 😢 (oh, and screw titans grip. Please keep SMF competitive)
Seems to me like they're wanting Feral to go back to the MoP feeling of play. How we used to play around Tigers Fury and Savage Roar to snapshot our bleeds. Admittedly, this is when I fell in love with my Feral, but I kind of prefer the way it plays now. Super interested to see how my beloved cat goes in TWW
As a person who mains feral I have to say you couldn’t be further wrong about the class. Feels like feral’s cleave has been supremely buffed with Druid of the claw
Im happy with all these many changes for lock, but the lack of work on some classes concerns me, specially rogue. Its already the least played class and they are not reworking the bad stuff
I love Ret but I really hope it doesn't turn into a situation where they just trounce all other dps melee classes in all content its happened before and it usually ends with a Blizz overcorrection, we will see post beta I suppose. On my 4th alt in MoP remix and its been pretty fun for someone not concerned with the raid achievments.
As a long time WW main, I am a tad sad to see the lose of Serenity, I always personally preferred it to SE&F, however with all these amazing changes I can easily overlook being forced to use a buggy spell once again.
Everyone just googled and copies and pasted a build, why does any of this matter. The only thing that gets swapped out is utility spells depending on the affixes and the raid fight
6 місяців тому
Exactly, what is the point of having those complicated talent trees if all the builds are copy pasted anyway ? I think the dragonflight talent tree is an abomination, what's the point of locking spells in talents if you are going to get over 80% of everything anyway ? The pre MoP talents, even though also copy pasted, were at least allowing some unique hybrid playstyles, limitation was good. What is the difference in build crafting between those DF talents and what we had between MoP and Shadowlands? The DF talents are just a marketing scheme to say look guys we brought back the old talent tree, no this is not the old talent tree, it's the same principle but in a different, more complicated UI.
they copy paste but they play like ass where if they probably moved some points or play a weaker build they would do better, an example would be like void bolting or dark ascension
@CMcFuzz some builds revolve around different damage windows and some are more forgiving, dumb take and sounds like one from someone with no experience in the game other than ego one tricking just to counter argue
As a Mistweaver main, in raids I use Essence Font almost on cooldown. It's my highest heal in many fights. I honestly don't know how I'm going to play it going forward...
Yeah, as a balance druid main, the reworks are def meh and seem like a nerf and the wrong direction to take. We needed changes but not necessarily less AP generation for pressing the feel good buttons.
Chi Wave is used by MW in M+ to ensure we have more chances to reset Jadefirestomp, making it a passive will probably work but the removal of agency despite the fact that the reason done is valid, in principle , meh.

Definitely making me want to switch from hunter to a class that’s gotten attention Tbf monk was in that spot for a very long time so that is a good thing.
You know what else would be nice for Frost DK? If they actually released the Glacial Advance spell effect it had way back in the day. The wave of spikes, as opposed to the lame little frost buds. Looked way cooler.
The rogue changes make me hopeful combat will be like Cata but retail obviously. Just if they could put blade flurry to a toggle skill and make killing spree turn into a focus or multi target depending if you have blade flurry on or not.
I'm no expert and I haven't been following all the class changes in detail, but as a druid I was expecting the new fluid form talent to be like a new integral part of feral DPS where you weave between bear and cat to maximize your damage and allow for more utility with each form's speciality skills. With this resource nerf I heard I hope this will be a valid way to play, switching to one form when the other's resource is low. And the idea of constantly switching forms in the middle of combat just sounds cooler than almost always being in your designated form as a budget rogue or warrior.
They should rather buff Feral single target damage by 50% or more because if you play feral in pvp you will start to hate blizz and while at that maybe buff multitarget by 30%
It might sound cool, but in actual fast paced gameplay it is horrible because each shapeshift requires a global cooldown. That global cooldown is the reason I will not touch feral in any pvp content, especially when you need to endlessly shapeshift to break all the snares and roots.
@@henrythegreatamerican8136 I am aware, that's why the fluid form talent sounds interestinv, So you can shapeshift by doing something instead of wasting a gcd just to shapeshift
Blizzard dev philosophy, if it ain't broke amd our players are happy, then let's see just how bad we can break it and piss off our players and stop them having fun.
I play ww monk. Changes look phenomenal. But my other specs are elemental and beast master so seeing none for them had me worried but with hunter changes supposedly coming this week I'm hooeful
Anyone else not a fan of specific hero talent trees requiring specific class and spec talent choices to function properly? Example would be “slayer” requiring both Bladestorm and Sudden Death talent choices. Feels like an illusion of choice.
I hope they make rogues be able to mog fist weapons on all specs same with warriors because there are some very bad ass fist weapons that I would like to use and I feel that outlaw spec doesn't fit right with fist weapons, but that's just me I guess.

Some healthy constructive feedback for devs: *how about you take Feral off the rollercoaster of feels bad to play?*
That makes too much sense.
Making sense isn't part of their design philosophy.
Honestly, I don't understand how all classes don't get attention, is it a dev issue, Blizzard issue? Some classes are obviously worked on quite often and others are left really lacking! Shamans, Hunters and DH.. and then I won't even get into toxic game play forced by devs.
Hunters so badly need an entire overhaul and rework.
WotLK Survival hunter dual wielding AND had a bow... I felt cool AF. Now im a dick that throws bombs and my pets are just added damage no real good special abilities.
@@michealwatts7469legion survival changes were an abomination
did something happen to Hunters since i stopped playing early dragonflight? BM was the best class i ever played :(
Hunters are pretty good, not sure what you smoking but pass it my way
Marksmanship feels bad. Gotta work twice a hard to match low end BM and survival doesn't have the class fantasy.
Not liking the radio silence on Shamans.
Shaman, Hunter and some Druid points need attention. Hoping they get some attention in the near future.
So does the fury warrior bro
how is it, that the class ALREADY absolutely dominating/being literally meta every patch gets a fucking rework + (allegedly) best hero talents? while many others (hunter) are just mediocre at best with shit hero talents :D im really asking, i think class designer may be playing a mage
Whom may that be?
We needed a rework as much as Hunters do.
And yet Hunter is still the most played DPS by far? It's easy to make them meta, doesn't need a whole ass rework for that
no u dont, if ur class allready slaps u dont need a rework as much as a class thats falling far behind@@VladUdrea-i8j
making DnD an aura you can toggle on and off would be so nice... or even if it just followed you for the duration of it like a remorseless winter
Making it like Remorseless Winter would be *Chefs Kiss*
Can we expect a new google doc with updates to keybinds? I found your Dragon flight Doc to be very helpful!
As an eternal warlock main since 2006 i have never been so happy with my class since legion by seeing how they are cooking for war within
Infernal changes with destro are horrible for m+ though
Excited to try it later on. Till this day i think MoP locks where the best but looking forward to this.
I feel the opposite. They've completely ruined the class since Legion.
Especially Demonology. All the demons are just glorified DoTs.
Give me back my Life Tap.
@@forrrrestjohncave so they should tune M+ better than by the ammount of stuns we can output on a pack before dying+
M+ is a whole can of worms that needs to be properly adressed, as it is now its mostly an unfun clusterfuck
@@wtfduud Warlocks don't have life tap anymore? aww, I haven't played in a long while, maybe since Battle For Azeroth, but I casually play classic so I am out of the loop on anything retail, but this new xpac has me looking into it.
It's been one of the major points of why I haven't bothered to come back to wow. My main class/spec has been boring garbage for a very long time.
How my class changed ? Playing elem and enhancement, so nothing, totemic is so weird, farseer suck, so we are stuck to stormbringer for both, and it have some issues too
I agree forcing shamannto interact with totems means more macro more bloat.
@@vaylox09 I think totems need to be reworked/removed. Rework could be done by when you cast an ability you have a chance to automatically drop a totem for additional benefits. Or just remove them and put their abilities into current built in abilities. Having totems is very iconic but a very outdated concept.
So happy to be a Ret Pally for life.
With the amazing new mogs and these changes, TWW is gonna be so good!!
No changes to Fury Warrior SMF?
Its a shame. For smf you could even find any builds on the net. Means for unexperienced players: „oh i didnt know that even existed“
I'm somewhat excited for the arcane mage changes, but I'm getting impatient with no shaman changes at all so far.
No changes for hunters...tier armor is terrible...new talents are boring..sad
Thats what they deserves after being killers in all the expantions, you only double tap and thats it
@@thechosenone3625 i think double tap is gone for a while now...i want the old ammunition type back..frost and fire and poison i think..it was nice.
Wind walker, Retribution, Warlock all looking like good fun this time around
Does Blizzard even remember that Shaman exists? Elemental has been in the gutter for so long and we get nothing...
I couldn't agree with you more regarding titan's grip. SMF needs a little more of a push in my opinion.
Wonder if they're actually going to FIX clearcasting as well. Where I'm not getting false procs.
Consecration persist effect is so nice
I play mostly hunter and shaman so I'm just waiting for their changes.
@@Manzanahh There are no easier builds they're all the same they're just easy
@CMcFuzz some builds revolve around different damage windows and some are more forgiving, dumb take and sounds like one from someone with no experience in the game other than ego one tricking just to counter argue
i thought frost mages were shadow frost now, and dks had rider of apocalypse spec etc. is that all gone now?
Im still at work but i hope my beloved warlocks have had good changes. Also wanted to dry out blood dk.
As a Mistweaver main, in raids I use Essence Font almost on cooldown. It's my highest heal in many fights. I honestly don't know how I'm going to play it going forward...
I feel that. But we will see.
Yeah, as a balance druid main, the reworks are def meh and seem like a nerf and the wrong direction to take. We needed changes but not necessarily less AP generation for pressing the feel good buttons.
I wouldn't mind a
Mastery cha ge. From the names I thought we were picking Grove to go old nature spells again. Green wrath, Insect swarm, treants etc
Biggest resto druid change over live is that Grove Guardians is on the GCD. That will be a big change to our playstyle if that goes live.
Frost DK and Ench shaman need WAY more love/ reworks, same with surv hunter
Chi Wave is used by MW in M+ to ensure we have more chances to reset Jadefirestomp, making it a passive will probably work but the removal of agency despite the fact that the reason done is valid, in principle , meh.
might get back into the game as from what i hear the war within is gonna be amazing and the classic side has been doing well too from what i hear :) haven't been on the game for years and deleted my main characters as i thought i never was gonna be able to get into the game again back then and mostly due to account getting freaking hacked apperently :/ the war within might be a good time to start fresh and see how things go :)
Imho, Orbital Strike, for Boomy, should be a standard talent! It would certainly help with sustained damage!
Finally hyped for an expansion since Legion. Let’s gooo
Bro df was so good you missed out
@@martinmp19 it was ? I started it yesterday just to get back into the game , since I was a bit rusty 😂
@@dillasykes It’s not a super exciting expansion, but it’s safe. It’s a great place to build up from into the saga that we’re going to be heading into. I definitely recommend it.
@@martinmp19 The gameplay was very fun, but the vibe was so weak that I lost interest pretty quickly in every patch.
Slam is still a useless button for arms to press, which is just .. weird, since it is supposed to be the rage dump we so sorely need, and give it something to press other than MS and OP endlessly.
Definitely making me want to switch from hunter to a class that’s gotten attention
Tbf monk was in that spot for a very long time so that is a good thing.
You know what else would be nice for Frost DK?
If they actually released the Glacial Advance spell effect it had way back in the day.
The wave of spikes, as opposed to the lame little frost buds.
Looked way cooler.
What about the dracthyr?
Pleeeeeease, REWORK SHAMANS !!!!!!
@@henrythegreatamerican8136 get a cancel form macro, mines on x. cancelform-tigers fury just instantly breaks roots since tigers fury isnt on the gcd
Blizzard dev philosophy, if it ain't broke amd our players are happy, then let's see just how bad we can break it and piss off our players and stop them having fun.
I play ww monk. Changes look phenomenal. But my other specs are elemental and beast master so seeing none for them had me worried but with hunter changes supposedly coming this week I'm hooeful
bro windwalker sounds good!! also less bloat! rogue main though so I am debating between the few as there wasn't much going with rogue atm
Adaptive swarm was so much fun. I'll be sad to see it go. Not unhappy with the changes though. It looks good overall.
hunter dev worked on BFA then been on vacation ever since
Shaman?
I don't understand for Prot pally why consecrate just isn't baked into Devo aura. It's insane lol
Fire mage looks absolutely insane :o
Went to check the Ridge thing, was searching for key holder quite a while
It's crazy how classes like Druids, Mages and Warlocks get updates every expansion while Shamans get left in the dust constantly,
Why did outlaw get the middle finger treatment in Warwithin?
Anyone else not a fan of specific hero talent trees requiring specific class and spec talent choices to function properly? Example would be “slayer” requiring both Bladestorm and Sudden Death talent choices. Feels like an illusion of choice.
I just really hate bladestorm, such a dumb animation.
With double lust gone I have no ducking idea what I'm gonna do during global cds. Might as well go and make some coffee.
Should have just gave rogue a gun slinger hero talent tree
I hope they make rogues be able to mog fist weapons on all specs same with warriors because there are some very bad ass fist weapons that I would like to use and I feel that outlaw spec doesn't fit right with fist weapons, but that's just me I guess.
as a former hunter main i’m still waiting for any substantive changes from their awful post 2016 class design
