Hello, as a Minnesota fisherman, and a few times in the ocean fishing, most recentetly off Maderias Beach area, and not really having a professional guide, even the few we caught HOG FISH, FLOUNDER, GROUPER, but all of average eating size.....it was so fun, but Man, when I watch a professional like you, I get so amped up to get back on the Ocean again someday next Winter. You, Your Crew, Madeline, and Tipsy are one of the neatest and coolest group of people Ive ever seen on FB.....Thank you for sharing your incredible skills and knowledge, as it truly fuels my desire to someday have a boat similar to yours and go out and live this incredible passion of deep sea fishing. You rock my friend, please keep em-coming brother, IM HOOKED!! PUN INTENDED....
somehow this comment slipped past me! really appreciate the kind words and stoked you enjoy the vids! thanks for tuning in and taking the time to share! more vids on the way!
I have to say out of everyone on UA-cam you are the smallest but the best u are a real guy doing real guy things. I fish out of Islamorada and fish everglades national park I use a Hawaiian sling and shoot some hogfish on some structure out of Islamorada but I want to start free diving deeper. I really learn from your videos and learn to slow down my shot and come in closer. Keep doing what ur doing ur vids are sick.
I'm glad you are giving all the information to people about the boundaries and rules and regulations in this video. The saying knowledge is power definitely applies to the Keys and the sanctuaries throughout the state of Florida. Incredible and informative video with an awesome national treasure. The Dry tortugas are one of my favorite spots. Hopefully you got some night footage of the night sky while you were there. Once again I always look forward to your videos. Be safe and thank you
Although I like some of your videos, you should be ashamed to plant your fins on that D Strigosa coral and pull on the fish. Everywhere you crushed the coral polyps, they will die, It leaves a wound open for all of the bacteria and disease that has killed almost ALL of our brain corals. I was suprised to see some live brain coral. In Key Largo almost all of our brain corals are dead from Stony coral tissue loss disease (SCTLD). You are young. I have been scuba diving for 60 years. The age comment is regarding whatever you think is OK with the reefs.
I think this is my favorite you have made. Great narration and explanation of what you are doing. I love seeing someone who truly cares and respects the ocean and its creatures.
I tried to preach to the council on how well the sanctuaries are down in the Keys. They definitely become a place for the fish to hang out with no pressure. I love spearfishing but its really nice to see those.
The fort and the surrounding water/structure is absolutely fantastic. Love it every time I go and the Cudas can get big AF there. Amazing place with awesome history.
Love it capt . Been to the tortugas 4 or 5 times never gets old. Gotta see the water color there to believe it!! Thanks for bringing back the memories sir!!
Amazing on so many levels. Sick shot on that mutton at 9 min mark. All unreal. Cant wait for part 2. Definitely was thinking 40 plus on that big black. Beautiful
Just absolutely fantastic. Some of your best work. I loved how you added the underwater narrative. The slight echo gave it a “ in your head” feel that made me feel like I was there. Your advice on where you can fish and where you can’t was informed and coming from a place of conservation. Great to see. The safety tips about letting your gun float up so you don’t get wrapped up might very well save somebody’s life one day. Incredible job!!! 5 stars!!!
One of my top five favorite videos of yours! Thank you for the content, it keeps me excited for when I get a break from school to get back in the water!!
Beautiful video!!! Love watching your stuff. Also, when you're spearfishing and you talk us through what is going on and what you are thinking - it is super helpful!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for the video. I've always wanted to know more about Tortugas park. The background music is very nice. "Life is alright" ? Life is good for you. LOL I envy you so much.
Awesome trip Aaron, I agree w port Jefferson is one nicest place in the Florida keys not to mention the fishing is world 🌎 class, unfortunately for my daughter and I couldn’t make this year. but most definitely next year. anyway keep those vid coming bud and navégate safe 👍🙏🇨🇺
That’s a nice trophy 🏆! I agree doing that 2nd dive to pull him out of the hole is the hardest. I’ve had a couple myself once with the shaft as well had to turn it inside the hole. Awesome video!! Thanks for the content.
I like it when you describe how a particular kind of fish tastes. One day I'd like to either rent, buy or charter a larger boat and live off of it for a few months at a time and spearfish to feed myself. I have no idea how different fish taste. You're livin' the dream Aaron.
Love the fact the big grouper was 52lbs. My best black grouper was also 52lbs. Caught off North Key Largo on 20 lb spin in 140 feet. That was in 1991. I can't wait to get back to Florida.
Love the way you communicate with us. You'll be chartering me. Gotta tell ya though I am big into spearfishing. The vid of you catching the sword fish had me excited!!
Hey guys. What a great video. Love the way you explane what your doing. I wish I could dive but i can only do snorkeling. I have Vertigo so can't go deep. I try to find places 20ft or less I can do. Tight lines.......
I moved from Naples to Kodiak a little over a year ago. Used to fish the Tortugas in the early 90's right outside the boundary. Only time I ever caught 10+ lb. mangs back to back to back.... The silvers (Coho salmon) will be running soon up here. You should come up and make a vid or twelve. As usual, well made video with excellent content.
19:26 damn now that’s a catch! Awesome video!!!!
lol
