Good video bro! I work in a gun store and on some down time I was watching this video. Bunch of customers walk in and I start helping one. I turn around and I got 5 people stuck watching the video lmao. Wanted to to put your channel on while I sold some pews.
Four years ago I had an operation. And when I came for dressings, the doctor did not look at me, but watched the video on his smartphone. He just couldn't take his eyes off the screen. Even as he walked down the corridor of the hospital, he watched the video. If these were captain Aaron's films, I would forgive him, but they were some cheap shows.
This guy has chill vibe but exciting, informative, and interesting content. As a land locked Kansas/ Missouri guy who loves to fish fresh water, I want so badly to do some fishing in Florida. I have never ocean fished or even been out on the ocean, besides on a cruise ship🛳. I love fishing rod and reel, and spear fishing looks so cool, but I would be scared😱 af to swim in the ocean, 😆. This channel gets an easy subscribe and I want to see more content!

Hi Aaron, I have been watching you for a while now and like your style. I am also lucky enough to live by the sea in East Africa…Nacala, Mozambique. Been here nearly 22 years and have built up Kwalala Lodge. Been spear fishing for over 35 years and still learning ! Nacala is remote but sadly overfishing and bad fishing practices degrade what good fish there are but we still get lucky now and again. He spent 33 days in county jail last time he went down to the keys... no proof of ownership, no registration, and insurance on a van he bought... Well we r looking down the Bull eye of a Cat 3-4 storm right now within 40-50 miles east of us.. As U know to well a little wobble can put that eye right over us.. Love ur video.. I’m in my 60s and still doing 100-125’ dives here in the GoM ...I only scuba and spearfish.. I think U know another good friend of mine.. Rusty Broussard, I think he said he’s chartered with U .. Another learning/satisfying/awesome/enjoyable viewing experience. Questions: How do you determine the proper size of the fish underwater, with the mask distortion? Is it just experience or is there a trick? Do you have to memorize the legal sizes for the different species or is there a common rule for all? These might be easy questions for fishermen but I am not one. Thanks.

you have a crazy shot man. The amount of fish I've seen you stone just casually watching is impressive. I always wondered, what happens if you do spear an undersized fish? Is it good practice to report it to the fish & wildlife? I imagine a portion of people regularly eyeball a keeper and come to find its undersized when they bring it on deck.
there's nothing you can do other than release it in whatever condition its in. if I know its gonna die I put it out of its misery. its not often I spear a fish thats undersized. I don't even shoot anything thats questionable.
Hey brother, Just curious on your thoughts of the current shark population in the keys and Florida in general. We have a couple buddies that live in Sugarloaf and we go down a few time a year and I've definitely noticed an increase in the amount of bull sharks we deal with. I live in Crystal River and it's getting terrible up that way as well.
Aaron, When you are using your chum mixture do you just mix sand and chum? I assume you just leave the chum out overnight and then mix it with sand? We spearfish quite often in the summer but haven't done the sandballing thing while diving and am interested after watching your videos. Stumbled across your channel, love the videos and have watched a bunch of them over the last week.
That's super cool. Just curious if you do any other running or cardio? Those dives are pretty amazing, there must be quite a bit to getting good at it.

Lol when i have access to what i do i don’t go searching a whole lot. But i always keep an open mind! And yes i have had Bonita. The small ones most people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from black fin.

yea the numbers are slowly getting there just still a ton of smalls. everyone shoots the 14-15" fish because they think they are legal. hopefully will come back in time!

Just over $30 and hour for those normal 8 hour a day desk workers.. Not bad for a semi low key day and after expenses as well and it was probably less than 8 hours...

theres no trick to be honest, I think it's repetition. and I know most of them off the top of my head yea. different sizes for different fish!

I can't comment on the population per say, but sharks are smart. They learn. you are seeing more because they know that boats mean food.

They are making the comeback I'm seeing a ton in the 12 to 14 inch range .
