Cat- your content is sublime; your choice in music, photos , walk in scenery; your easy listening voice all multiplies into amplifying the adventure that is waiting in the wings of walking through an unknown territory. It's a sacred place. Indeed exhilarating! Thank you! 🐾
Sublime. Yes. That's a fantastic word to use to explain her content. Thank you.
Absolutely agree. She is a step up musically and creatively from a lot of other creators. Good job!
Well spoken about cat
As always, “”You fill up our senses!” Please, Never stop. You cannot know what you do for the rest of us. You are at the heart of our JOY!
When i discovered Ansel Adams, my whole world came to life! #1 FAVORITE photographer
Glad you love backpacking & filming so all of us can enjoy the beautiful experience of nature. The world is a breathtaking place 😮😊❤❤ 👍🏻🙋🏼♀️
You are such an inspiration. I have been watching your journey for years. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Thanks for watching!
You always bring a "can do" spirit back into my life, each has a unique challenge.
Kat, you are so much more confident solo hiking, what an inspiration to others who want to get out there solo. Stunning scenery and weather was perfect. Thank you for taking us along. ❤️
‘Niiiicoooole…. Make a break from nothing!’ 😂😂😂🍿🥤’Cat send a video!’ ⛰️⛺️🎥
🙏❤️🙏
That opening scenery was breath taking. I enjoy Adam’s work. I can see why he was so taken with this part of the country.
I've said it many times before: your work is artistry. The beauty that you capture is truly a spiritual thing. Your mastery of photography, your music selection, your editing, and narration: watching you weekly is a form of meditation.
I've said it before but I'll say it again: BRAVO!
What a beautiful area to camp. Loved the shot with the moon peaking out between the peaks. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to more adventures.
Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous scenery! I could almost smell the sagebrush, fresh pine-scented air. The colors of the lake, trees, mountains, and sky all were spectacular. Thanks for bringing us along on your solo backpacking trip. 🐺🐾🦡🐦🌲🗻 Jenny
Sitting on a log sporting a Sano cap, priceless. It’s so clear for this time of year and rustling aspens always get me .
Happy 5th Anniversary! I wish you continued health, happiness, success and blessings from GOD!!!
Just what I needed this morning. Thank you!
Wow! The opening scene would make a great jigsaw puzzle! Your cinematography is the best! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Ms. Gregory for the beauty you share so unselfishly .
Your videography has a “you are there” quality to it, and holds the eye. I frequently hit pause to absorb the scene. Several reminded me of Maxfield Parrish landscapes. Thanks for taking us along.
So, so beautiful.. Your photography and subject matter are perfection. Thank you Catherine.
Thank you Kat that was fantastic ,I know how much time it takes to make a video I used to take photographs and make DVDs of them. Haven’t done that in years but you’re are very beautiful and relaxing, so thank you for taking me along.
Your photography is stunning, as always, and I love when you let the natural sounds come through, especially water. Thank you so much for sharing.
Great scenery. You have a good eye.
I remember that first trip and this camp. Thanks for bringing us back!
... A video from Catherine Gregory is always a heartwarming watch with incredible beauty and amazing views ... Thank You ..
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” John Muir on the eastern Sierra.
Omg- the opening view is absolutely STUNNING 🤩🤩🤩
Wonderful scenery Sunday morning in the mountains without leaving the couch. Thanks Catherine another great video. Blessings
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
My dear Cat, Whenever I need a Sierra fix I ALWAYS turn to you ..I miss my backpacking SO much. My wife has severe osteoporosis and has basically a surgery a year for the last decade. In order to keep my spirits high for her, ( when I get down) I go to you for my dose of the Sierras. I've backpacked them since I was in Boy Scouts where I fell in love with them. I am 74 now. So Thank you so much for continuing to go back so I can vicariously relive the places that are so very dear to me! Your beautiful videos combined with awesome music and commentary is what keeps me going and positive for my wife. But my very first love has always been the magic of the sierras. Thank you so very much!
Welcome back Catherine 😀
Thank you Neil!
16:17 What a beautiful shot, Catherine! Wow!
Another GREAT video, coffee with Cat. LOVE it. They keep getting better, thanks again for sharing your adventures. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Thanks so much!
That mac & cheese looked good, but I think it needs bacon... 🐷Thanks for introducing me to Parker Lake 4 years ago. I finally did a day hike there in July of this year, and wow, the wildflowers and the views were AMAZING!
I finally thought of the word to describe your style in making videos. Soothing.
The shot of the moon sitting on top of the mountain was excellent. You have a great eye.
As to bears, once in Yellowstone on a trail following Panther Creek towards Quadurant mountain where my dad was doing some geologic mapping we saw at least a dozen black bears. We just kept our distance and they seamed happy. The early June weather was incredible so sleeping under the stars, one morning I woke to a bull moose not more the ten feet away. Laying on the ground and seeing such a huge animal (looked like he was ten feet tall) I just watched as he looked at me while chewing his cud. I knew all I could do is lie still and watch this magnificent animal as he watched me. Holly smokes I must have been 8 years old.
Thanks for sharing! You are a very brave person to go it alone . Beautifully done! Not sure if I would be able to sleep in a tent in the middle of nowhere by myself. 😮
Ansel Adams, one of the greatest nature photographer’s of our life time. Love his coffee table book of Yosemite. Peace
Cat...
Your hair... when you're laying there. And it spills down and around your face like that. Love it.
Randy. 🎼
Thank you so much for the support Randy! 🙏🙏🙏
FANTASTIC OPENING SCENE AND THE LAKE PICTURES PHENOMENAL AS WELL. GOOD WORK AND GLAD YOU GOT A SOLO OVERNIGHT IN BEFORE THE COLD ARRIVES.
Another stunner Catherine.
Was that Mono Lake in the back ground at the end of the video?
Your content is always perfect, your post processing is top shelf, and your photography is Oh My God!!!
Thank you for a wonderful Sunday morning.
I wish I could give you a thousand likes!!👌👌👌👌
Just started watching your videos and I want to tell you that you have a very sharp eye for camera placement and the shots you capture are some of the most beautiful scenic shots I’ve seen lately. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.
Another magical video. Thank you, Catherine for bringing our beautiful country to us that cannot travel anymore. Be safe😊
Cat...
You know, the great spirit must have been in a pretty good mood the day that he made you. 😊
Randy. 🎼
Very sweet. Thanks so much Randy!
Beautiful shot of the moon over the mountains.
You really know how to capture the beauty of nature to share with us! It’s the best next to experiencing it in person! Which I can’t do , due to a disability. BUT, WOW WHAT NATURAL BEAUTY I am able to see through your lens! Thank you so very much!
The pictures are sure pleasing to the eyes!
Looking forward to the next one!
Parker Lake is gorgeous and so is that hike. So cool you had it all to yourself !!
Happy Sunday My Sweet Catherine the Wild Camp is a Greatest
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. You have such a talent for capturing the beauty of your trips. Thank you for taking us along. It seems like you were just starting out on your first adventure. How time flies! ❤
Thanks for the beautiful video. I agree, it is good to see the lakes and streams full of water and snow still on the mountains in Sept.
Yeah, like your good old solo hiking adventures.
Thanks, Catherine. Wonderful way to start our Sunday morning. Happy 4th solo anniversary. Rich content; great water scenes, and beautiful wildflowers. Excellent 1st backpacking trip advise. Thanks for sharing another adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Awesome as usual Cat! Love me some peace and granola! good times Lady. So peaceful and inspiring!
At my age the overnight backpacking trips are over. Although I do still camp with some comfort and do day hikes. You do a great job of capturing the scenic beauty along with telling the story. Thanks for the video of your adventure! 😎
Good afternoon, live this area. It is incredible that you only have to hike 1 hour to see such beauty ❤
G'morning Cat! (you lightened your hair, looks great!) Thanks for another wonderful hiking adventure. I look forward to doing the same.
Thank you. I haven't done anything different to my hair. It must b the lighting. :)
Definitely adding this overnight backpacking trip to my list next summer ..: Thank you for sharing 😊 …. Beautiful 🤩…
👍👍cool video
I love Parker Lake❤ thank you for capturing that waterfall on the back side ! Amazing photography, You sure captured the beauty exactly how it is there 😊
This is small masterpiece my friend, shots and narration are brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!!
A bum knee has sidelined my hiking days so I get my hiking fun watching your videos. Thanks 😊 so much for sharing....David
Catherine, that place is beautiful! So glad you were sporting a personal locator beacon! Smart girl!😊
Beautiful hike. Felt like I was there myself in God’s country.
This video is reminiscent of how your vidography started. Tranquility is missing from my life at this time. Thank you
Agree about camping and hiking in the fall. 👍
Thank you! Very inspiring!😅
Gorgeous view at your campsite with the trees, orange mountain and blue sky reflecting on the crystal clear lake. Just stunning. Staying close to the trail head when solo backpack hiking in bear country was good advice. I could almost taste that coffee in the morning. It was clear that your hike into that wilderness was just what you needed. As an avid camper and outdoors person, I can surely relate. Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful video.
thank you so much , I feel so peaceful !
To sit in solitude, to think in solitude with only the music of the stream and the cedar to break the flow of silence, there lies the value of wilderness.
John Muir
Beautiful as usual thank you for sharing everything you do it is just so awesome
Hello, hello from Puerto Rico
Hello!
Grt8 ur healthy to accomplish ur endeavors! Middle to old age isnt as kind to all of us. U get plenty of sunshine and exercise and eat a healthy diet plus u probably got the good genes. It was wise for u to quit ur old job , we wouldn't get to enjoy nature through ur lens. A true trailblazer keep it up!
What a beautiful pictures again. Thank you for sharing it.
Well Rembrandt that was fantastic; ur editing is Oscar quality - thank you - have a great week; stay safe, stay healthy.
Wonderful the lakes are full! Fall is my favorite hiking/camp season. LOL re: day life 😂👍Yes!! Also, great news on the wolves. 🐾🐾🐾🐾👍🇨🇦😎💚
Yes! Thank you!
Well that was just lovely - what a beautiful portrayal of the place.
Awesome shot @2:32! Happy Trails

Thank You for another Gorgeous adventure!! You sure do visit some pretty places. Appreciate that you shared so i could visit those places too. Stay Safe!! 🙏👍😎
Another WONDERFUL video, Catherine!
Excellent job!! Loved every minute.
I’m camping in bear country alone as well but I’m in my travel trailer which is my choice these days being 66 yrs old🤣But still loving the high country and making it happen for myself.❤️👌👍🏼
Nice video of a beautiful place high up, and what better way to disconnect from it all. Awesome views and even a hatch over the water. Thank you for sharing.
You are such an inspiration to all of us. I plan on getting my lazy old but out there and doin the same solo deal this Fall. Can't wait for my posse because the excuse towel always gets thrown in and I sit at home hoping someone will come thru. I also like to hear the wolves are naturally coming back to the Sierra. I have hiked in Montana & Canada and have been fortunate seeing them in the wild a few memorable times and it's something that never leaves you.
Such breathtaking scenery. 😍😍❤
I always carry bear spray everytime I hike and camp after my bear encounter in the middle of the night in the Green Swamp!
Shine on.
Love those reflection shots.😊
You’re helping define my next trip to the Eastern Sierra. This is definitely on the agenda.
Beautiful wilderness mountains feels like I'm there , thank you for sharing
I love your adventures, thanks for taking us along 😊💜🌲
For any folks near Missouri, we have a state park that is an excellent training set up for backpacking. Hawn State Park south of St. Louis is a central campground that has many spokes that lead out to a full circle trail. The circle is about eight miles with each spoke around one mile. This means that if you take one spoke out and come back that same spoke it is ten miles, but beginners or parents with teens that they want to get started can plan any length they wish by doing a spoke out part of the circle then another spoke in. I was never a backpacker, but we use to take the kids there to camp in the normal state camping center and do day trips out and around and back in thus having many possible day trips through different trails. Beautiful park. Have not been there in decades but really miss the experiences. Just a heads up for those not out west.
The landscape is really beautiful 😍❤️
I appreciate your videos bringing us so much beauty. Thank you. Blessings
From the beginning to the end, and everything in between, brings such tranquility. You are so talented in matching music with your cinematography. I love your opening images, and the image at 21:43 of the lake with the reflection of mountains and sky. Also your sage advice on solo backpacking. Although my backpacking days are long behind me, I still enjoy shorter hikes when time and health permit. By bringing colder weather gear and a headlamp, I can enjoy some of the beauty of backpacking, but without having to carry the weight. I hike down in the dark, after enjoying the sunset, moonrise and stars. Having been impacted by 3 disasters within the span of 2 years, your videos have helped to reduce my stress, transporting me to the present tranquil moment. Thank you and God bless you!
Your awesome Catherine.
Beautiful
That trout staring at you and the insects was kool😮
It looked like a good size one.
Great video
Opening picture is awesome. Nice place to camp.
🖤💚 beautiful scenery, TY
OMG what a beautiful campsite 🦌🌲🏞️🏕️
Beautiful hike & video. I have done day hikes to Parker Lake. Perfect hike for someone who is interested in trying a overnight backpack trip. Thanks again Catherine!
I always preferred to go to the Sierras in October when my kids were in school they had year round school and I made sure they were off in October and we would usually go to silver lake
My kids are now grown and still have good memories of those trips
