I just got done putting the 5160's on the front of my 12 RAM 2500 and found it to be easier just to jack up each side by the frame just enough to where the front tire is barely coming off the ground, that method took alot of pressure off the spring and I was able to cut the strap and had no issues putting it back together, yeah it was up higher than normal but it was worth it.
I have a 2012, fixing to order some of these. My truck is still sitting on its short arms so i'm not expecting this to ride like a caddy lol but would you care to confirm if these improve the ride a bit when going over neighborhood pot holes, trail road /trails. I currently have some regular zone shocks which ride like shit going over almost anything
I feel as though they are better than the factory shocks. I’m not 100% sure it’s worth the money. Driving over rough terrain and washboard roads is better. I might try the 5100 next time.
I’ve had a set of these for my 2012 3500 I’ve been looking to install for some time now. Just waiting on getting some Thuren 3” springs before doing so. How have they been holding up for you since the installation?
They are decent but I honestly don’t think shocks make much of a difference unless you upgrade to nicer springs like the Thuren you have. I have been looking at thuren’s 3” kit as well. I’d be curious to know what you think.
@@LogansGaragejust got all of my Thuren components installed over the weekend with the 5160’s. So far the ride quality and steering is better than its ever been before
Good video thank you man !

@@LogansGarage Yeah man I’m going to have 5100s in the front and 5160S in the rear for my truck. Can’t wait!

You mentioned your truck is stock (maybe by mistake), but your truck has a spring spacer in the front...probably around 2 inches.
