I think it’s far more exciting to ride than the Suzuki GS8. The Hornet engine is a peach and it has such quick handling. The Suzuki has its own good points but for me, the performance of the Hornet steals the honours
I took one out for a test ride and ordered one straight away. Love the flickability of it. A pyramid hugger sorts the muck from the back wheel. Nice review
At last someone who prefers the Honda to the Suzuki. I would call the looks inoffensive,I personally like the look of the bike + I am a short arse so the low seat is a bonus,& for money it's a done deal.
Nice review mate, I bought a hornet 2 weeks ago, and have already 650kms. I was so impressed when I test rode it I didn't bother trying out the 8s! I have ordered a slip on exhaust from Ali Express to give it even more attitude. This is bike number 27 for me and I can tell you it is possibly the best so far, it's a great bike and very hard to fault at all. It's so easy to ride and it's great fun!
Thanks. Glad you’re enjoying the bike. I was a lot more impressed than I thought I would be. It’s nothing especially groundbreaking or different to look at but when you ride it, it just really rewards you. Such great fun. That exhaust will sound great too I’m sure 👍
Hi Eric, I hope you are doing well mate and enjoying your Hornet! This is what I put on my bike, it's really loud if you remove the dB killer, I put it back in, it's still louder than the original pipe, perfect in my opinion. I actually bought the exact same pipe for my previous vstrom 1000, loved it so much that I had to buy the same one for the Hornet ! You need to also buy that mid pipe, it's not specific to the cb750 but it fits fine. I added the quick shifter back in March this year, best thing I have ever bought, incredible fun! Together the pipe and the quick shifter has added a heap of extra fun and attitude to the bike and riding experience, you'll love it, looks great too. Cheers, Steve.
@@steveizett3340 Hi Steve, excellent to hear you're so happy with it! I can't find the exact brand name and model you bought from Ali, so can you tell me the exact name of the slip-on? I'm thinking of buying it! Cheers, Eric
What are your feelings on the riding position as a tall rider? I’m 6’2 and I’m seriously considering buying this but the possibility of feeling too cramped scares me :/
Hi. I was surprised that the Hornet was actually pretty comfortable (I did only have an hour test ride though). I was so much more impressed with it than I thought I would be. Regarding the riding position, when I came to a stop my legs were quite bent and I wished the seat height was higher and also I think I (also around 6ft 2) probably looked like the bike was too small for me from other peoples point of view but, bottom line, I loved riding it and when moving, I didn’t feel it was too cramped. Definitely go for a test ride if you can.
Nice video :) I was wondering how tall you are exactly and what the comfort is like for taller people, I am around 1,90 meter myself and looking at getting one of these :)
I’m exactly 1,9m, but im still pretty comfortable on my hornet. The stock seat is the only thing that isn’t comfortable if you ride more then 150 km a day.
@@nickv1902 Thanks for the reply :) I've been looking for aftermarket seats but there isn't that much available yet. It will also probably be a few months until i get my bike so that might be diffrent then :)
@@gerrit2107 oh so you bought one already nice 😊 You won't regret it. Indeed there aren't that much aftermarket seats right now, but hopefully next riding season.
How tall are you? I’m 6’2 and think it might be on the edge? I found the triumph trident to be the most comfortable mid sized bike so far, and the CB650R quite cramped- wouldn’t like to be on it for a couple of hours!
Oh really? Is the Hornet coming to the US? What a shame, I was really impressed with it. I think you have the Transalp now, which is very good but not the same thing. Hopefully it will be available soon because it’s lots of fun for not too much money.
Humour me for a moment (and no I have yet to ride a motorcycle with a quickshifter...🫣), What's the deal on having / installing said setup on your bike? Are we now in the business of shaving off one-tenths of seconds from 🚥 to 🚥🤨? Whatever happened to ✋🏾- 👁️ - 🦶🏾 coordination? #JustAsking 🧙🏽♂️

Exactly what I would do first, get a hugger sorted👍
Ditto 🤌🏾. Searching for a better one than Pyramid's if that exist 😊

I dont like Suzuki. I think it's really ugly.

Might I ask which slip on you got from Ali and your experience (sound and looks) so far?

I bought the Transalp because the Hornet is not available in the USA. It fits me perfectly. Love that engine.

Iam the same height and i ride mt07 and its fine, i have no problems... Does trident 660 really fits us good? I think about the bike
The 750 is the new 600 ?
Why are they not selling the Hornet 750 in the USA?

@@thetallbiker9645 I sure hope so like an awesome bike seems like Europe has all the models and colors.
Nope, I just can't stand tablets on bikes instead of proper clocks, they make a bike look really cheap !
A frustrating watch looking at a petrol tank for nearly 20 minutes, a pity as the tall biker was quite informative.
