Hey question, is the 750 hornet coming to the states? It's not on Honda's US website. I figured you'd likely be one of the first people to know whether or not they were releasing this bike in the states or not, so I figured I'd ask
At the same time, it is incredibly....boring. It's like the people at Honda were like, "Oh f*ck, guys! Suzuki is rolling out the GSX-8S, Yamaha has the MT-07 and MT-09...and us? We have....the 500F. The idea: we take the 500F with a big engine! It's going to be awesome!"
@@krasky yep - it's the blatently obvious thing to do and there's very likely absolutely nothing surprising or excitingly new about the bike and that's exactly what we expect from Honda and that bike is gonna sell the second it hits show room floors because of course it will. Honda in a nutshell - you know exactly what you're gonna get and it's gonna be bulletproof but no surprises.
@@krasky yeah, I just don't understand Honda man. They got the engine, electronics and price right. But for some reason they just couldn't design a motorcycle. If they got the design right they would have killed the MT 07 and Suzuki because nobody in their mind would spend the same price for less HP or more weight.
But the suzuki comes with a quickshifter stock which is 300€ for the honda The remaining 700€ difference is worth just for the looks itself in my opinion

My aged Suzuki bandit 650 has 77 hp but only 33 ft lbs of torque, and that, along with it's porcine mass is what takes much of the fun out of urban riding. I'm thinking the torque is the most important number for the bikes in this category, and that's where the GSX-8s reigns supreme. Plus it seems like you can actually buy one. Don't get me wrong, the Hornet does look like a very strong competitor in this category, but if you live in North America, you're going to be out of luck for a while.
Thinking it will be the gsx8s for me. I haven't seen the Hornet get announced for North America yet. The MT07 would be my last pick. Partially cause I already had one. But now it also lacks tech that the others have. Maybe if 5k, couple year old ones actually existed here as mentioned in video, but they are more like 7k.
The MT-07 got so overhyped that the prices of used ones are getting out of control. I think the reason why many UA-camrs are still talking about cheap used MT-07s is because this was true for a long time, but is outdated as of now. Good thing is that these now competetion at the market should have a positive impact on the used market as well and even out these crazy price demands for the MT.
Nice video Noob. As the current owner of a Z900, a Ducati Monster and an 848, and previous owner of many different models, I have to say that it is horses for courses. The numbers are less important than the feel of a bike to you. So if you are looking to buy a bike, test ride everything you can and buy the one that makes you grin the most.
The gsx 8s costs 1000€ more in germany Add the quickshifter on the honda and its a 700€ difference That 700€ is worth just for the better looks itself in my opinion

I'm a new rider who just got a 2023 Z400, so it will be some time before any potential upgrade, but that Honda Hornet looks mighty fine to me. That price point, (assuming i get something good on trade-in) and the power bump up are hard to pass on.
Yam, love the single swing arm look and while a more premium option they seem to be spread over quite a few options. Can you do a comparison of the single swing boys available? Thanks broham
All of these bikes need a round headlight version for non squids, throw in a rear fender as well. They look as if they are missing parts from the factory. Honda created this look in 83 with the CBR-400F, it also looked as if it was missing parts.
I just recently sold my MT-07 and now have a Tracer 9GT. I would really like to get my hands on the Honda Hornet as it looks so much more refined than the MT-07. Fit'n finish is not Yamaha's strong point for sure.
MT07 the best in the class, in my opinion. It's engine, weight (Suzuki), agility, rear wheel width (Honda). Also, Yamaha makes this type of engine since long time now and the other two have their first gens now only.
