    Hi; you were incredibly out of luck.
    im a 1300GS owner and would sguggest you to find a new bike to test ride specially with the DSA option; most of the reviewers dont even play with that feature where you can personalize the different "road" and "dinamic" suspention settings; i mean you change the road to -1 and it gets as plush as a 1250, all day, everyday.
    its not just flip from road to dynamic and vice-versa, but actually play with the settings to personalise to your taste of riding; myslef i keep it dynamic ride mode and suspension in road-1 it you get the throttle response super sharp and the "confort of the 1250".
    1300 is a brilliant bike that will suit the sporty and the confort riders, if you personalise the bike electronics to it.

      I can’t disagree with you mate as I ended up with the model in the video and definitely need to re test another one and the GSA. I’m sure the other models are brilliant but I can only go on what I had to test. The problem is BMW are being unrealistically GREEDY and being comfortable where they sit in the market place BUT THE CHINESE ARE COMING with CF MOTO and VOGE to make but a couple. These bikes for most are weekend toys and when they cost so much money and they offer little in part exchange people will go elsewhere. These Dealerships will disappear, some have already gone. I look forward to trying again. Thanks for watching and commenting buddy👍🏻👍🏻

    Nice review mate, It was an eye opening day on the GS and GSA but to be honest I'm not sure what I was expecting from the new models as we both own the 1250's, I'm in agreement in terms of the price point and trade in valuations, In the short time we had them and the road / weather conditions on the day we never had the opportunity to push the capabilities of the bikes, the GSA felt very familiar with my 1250 GSA but i did say once I went to dynamic it certainly put a smile on my face with the bike tightening up and becoming a differant beast and I'm sure if we had time to dial the settings in properly the outcome would be differant. I can't comment on the GS as I've never had 1, I think that fully spec'd triple black in the showroom was priced at around 26k, factor in the luggage and Insurance and I was probably just shy of £29k so certainly not an option for me, except the 2nd hand market in the future MAYBE.

    Heyup, it amazes me that lots of manufacturers sell "comfort seats " as an upgrade , why on earth aren't they fitted as standard ? or is it a case of just making more money as they do with bikes that don't come with a main stand ? ps the gs1300 range are fekin plug ugly imo ,,the 1250 is bonny .Tommy Tickle

    I agree with you mate last year I had a choice between a new 1300 and a 1250 GSA Adventure. I went for the GSA1250 brilliant bike got a good deal on it too. I use it for Two up touring and sometimes with all the camping gear and it carries it all with no effort at all fantastic bike to ride. The 1300 is more a sporty GS knees-more bent and not has comfortable. They do say the new GSA1300 is loads better and different again. But they are expensive mine does what I need it too and I do like the look of it I really don’t need more gadgets and more horsepower. Looking forward to your next review cheers mate 👍👍

      Good for you mate, I’m truly concerned about what to do in the future. If they could take the new engine and stick it in the model we have then ok but I really dislike the aesthetics of these new models. Having said that the 1250 engine is brilliant. Really they should just keep making them and call these newer versions something else😮😂
      Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, I really appreciate it 👍🏻

    In my humble opinion. BMW have peaked with the 1250 model that you own. They seemed to have changed their ethos with the new range. I think the passion has gone and it’s just a money making venture with them preying on a very loyal fan base. I hope I’m wrong but I think it’s all downhill from here on in for BMW unless they make some drastic changes. Great video as always. Happy New Year and take care. Ray

      @theblackcountrybiker  16 днів тому

      Great points Ray. I agree that the 1250 is the best of them. I understand manufacturers have to keep moving forward but to throw these prices out for what are Weekend toys for a lot of bikers and offering obscene prices for part exchange machines is disgraceful. A mate of mine wanted to part x his R1250GS that is showroom condition but has 16000 miles in it. His local BMW didn’t want it! This is why they are all disappearing. PURE GREED. Thanks for watching and your kind comments mate and Happy New Year to you too👍🏻👍🏻

    Mate a poor show from the dealer to send you out on a basic bike and with a broken clutch lever. If they had of wanted your business they would have given you the ultimate bike to WOW you and then youd wash over the increased price as you loved the bike so much seems to me like a case of they couldnt care less about wanting your money BMW as a whole are too comfortable with their position in the market and think they are untouchable and they are doing you a favour by selling you the bike .All in all a poor show from that particular dealer . Sole destroying as a vlogger when you want to make good content and get a shit bike like that . Definitely not detrimental to you as a vlogger mate you gave an honest opinion of the bike and thats all that matters,too many try to blow smoke up your ass with their reviews.

      @ to be honest , you rode the billy basic bike then slagged it off ( it's a basic bike)! I've had many 1250s and loved them but imo the 1300 is a totally different and superior in every way animal . My local dealer has 48 gsa's going out for the first of March ! That says something.
      I owned the 1300 after owning a 1250 gsa . I found it very sporty and that may be something people don't want ! But they are now trying to compete with the likes of Ducati and ktm , the age demographic has changed and people are now coming off sporty bikes looking for more comfort and fun . I'm 62 and want the comfort but I still like performance which the 1300 has especially over the 1250 . Love it or hate it in a years time everyone will be on one .
      Have a 1300 gsa sat in the garage now and can honestly say it's the best bike I have ever owned . Believe it or not I've had over 300 bikes so that's saying something 👍

      @ OK so you didn’t like my opinion. That’s no problem BUT In my defence in the video I do say maybe I’m doing it a disservice’, I also say I’d like to have another go on another GS and GSA. I also say the one I had was a good ride and light. I slag the screen and comfort off. So maybe watch the video again as it’s not just a slagging off of the bike. I can only comment on the bike they gave me and they gave me the ‘Billy Basic’ as you call it with a bosted clutch lever. That’s piss poor on their part. Just because you don’t like my OWN honest opinion it doesn’t make it a poor review but i’ll take your comment on board. 👍🏻👍🏻
