I caught 70020 when it failed at Appleford on its first revenue service in its new livery on the 18th October! I was at Oxford when it failed, and I went onto the bridge up at Hinksey to have a look at what was happening - there were 3 freight trains, a track machine and 4 passenger trains all waiting for a clear line down the Cherwell. I did eventually get to Didcot where I saw 70020 being dragged by 66533. A very eventful first run for 70020
Haha it’s like a crap wheel of fortune 😂 I used to have to copy and paste every name one by one but needed to find another solution for the 400 entries in the Tamworth vid, fortunately found a better way so doesn’t take hours now lol.
Wow Luke, a superb variety of motive power and consists. The opening reminds me of my younger spotting days at Picc/ Oxford Road when the container trains to Trafford Park were hauled by class 40’s, iirc Apapa was a regular turn. Also the DC electrics were also running to Altrincham, and the dinosaurs walked down Oxford Road!
Thanks Luke for another interesting mix of workings and autumnal weather. It looked like 68003, travelling light, had been engaged in RHTT duties by the state of it!
Enjoyed that again Luke, great variety of workings again - glad you kept the camera running as the 37/66 combo disappeared into the night, Canton sounded great!! Good to see the 60's still on the Drax trains and the Midland Pullman is a stunning looking set! Congratulations on passing 8K subscribers - really well deserved!
Thanks a lot pal. Was a bit of a last minute decision to film the other side of the RHTT so the footage is a bit wobblier than I’d like but had to leave it in for that sound.
Thanks a million Jon, really means a lot to me when somebody feels like free content is worth donating towards. It’ll go towards a much needed coffee on the next 24hr trip 👍🏻 cheers.
Awesome video Luke those 3 tractors at the start sounded fantastic and thanks to H N R for saving another 37 from the scrapheap also some nasty wheelflats on that DRAX cat litter train @ 12.12 🤣 thanks Luke for another fantastic video take care matey a t b Syd👍
I believe we had diversions because of a bridge closure mate which has sadly now finished. We usually only get the late night/early morning drax workings when this line is a little less crowded.
Cheers mate. It did indeed have a railway station back in the day, I believe the LNWR opened it in the mid-19th century then BR closed it late 60’s. There’s some great pictures on the disused stations website 👍🏻

Very eventful re-entry back into traffic mate. I’ve been sent some pics of it finally running on its own again down at Eastleigh.
Always enjoy how much you laugh at the wheel 😅 as I do too! It must take you forever to put all those names in Luke! Great video again

Thanks Luke for another interesting mix of workings and autumnal weather. It looked like 68003, travelling light, had been engaged in RHTT duties by the state of it!
Cheers John, definitely due a trip to the washer, those RHTT duties don’t half make a mess haha.

Great video again Luke. Good to see a few 37’s and how filthy was that 68.
Cheers Geoff, definitely that 68 needs a trip to the wash!

Thank you Ramon! 👍🏻
Another good’un Luke . Those RHTT trains get in some mess I wouldn’t like to clean them . Would Acton Bridge be any good for a 24 hrs ?
He did Sunrise - Sunset but not 24 hrs. 24 hours would be good though.
Great suggestion mate, would like to do one there one day although they turn the lights off at night these days I think!
Great video,thank you.😂
Cheers Ste 👍🏻
There seems to be lots of Drax workings, has this been increased?
I believe we had diversions because of a bridge closure mate which has sadly now finished. We usually only get the late night/early morning drax workings when this line is a little less crowded.
@ cheers for that👍
another great video Luke now heres 1 for you when did Diggle have a railway station and if so when did it close ?
Cheers mate. It did indeed have a railway station back in the day, I believe the LNWR opened it in the mid-19th century then BR closed it late 60’s. There’s some great pictures on the disused stations website 👍🏻
very nice video mate cheers
Thanks a lot pal 👍🏻
Luke have you or Mrs Luke opened a Cafe in Lancaster? Walked past "Diggles cafe" on route to a pub other day 🤣
Haha wonder if there’s any relation to the village!
For nine thousand could you do 24 hours in the pea district😁
In and around the quarries would be great to see, although might struggle for lighting in the wee hours haha
That 60 colas pulling Drax? Huh? The 68 needs a wash and that 70 freightliner, yuck
The 60 is owned by GBRF now just waiting for a paint job. Been waiting yonks lol.
