Another goodie Luke, of course you had me at the LSL 37 the drone footage is really cool and shows what a beautiful part of the Country we are lucky enough to live in, chapeau sir.
That was very enjoyable to watch Luke. A lovely selection of loco’s along with great drone footage and beautiful autumnal colours. What’s not to like. Thanks again for producing these videos for us it’s much appreciated
Another brilliant video. Possibly the best yet. The drone footage was amazing. Got to ride the HST at the ELR on the Saturday. It's no surprise that they didn't rebrand it as an InterCity 25. The Peak looked great too. Reminded me my teenage years watching them climb up past Ashton North Jn. :)
Thanks a lot Tim, wish I’d have found the time to visit that weekend. I’ve not been on a HST since the last week of cross country workings. Must have been great seeing the Peaks over here back in the day.
Another great video Luke. Spoilt for choice with all the heritage locos. Wow there was certainly some square wheel action going on. Love the drone footage, what a beautiful part of the country you live in.
How do Luke. Just wanted to add my thoughts on the latest video, for me the highlight was the drone shot of the IC125s as they slid gracefully through the Lancashire landscape. Sublime! Many thanks to yourself and the drone operator, cheers!
Absolutely brilliant as always. As you can imagine I got the 45,hst and WCR 47s. Good to see you at a busy Guide Bridge the other day. See you soon pal. Craig 😊
Great work, as usual. I was thinking exactly the same thing before your caption about the square-wheeled 88 😂. What is it about the Vossloh/Stadler locos that make them susceptible to square wheels? 🤔
That was indeed a really good one Luke, great variety of workings, but does any loco look and sound better than a green 37...?! Have to say the Peak did run it a close second though! Great lineside shots of it and the drone footage was suberb! Really enjoyed everything though!.
Another awesome video Luke, hope you’re well, the drone shots are just simply amazing may I ask what’s the name of the viaduct please ???? Take care chap 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Was talking to one of the ribble rail guys over at Preston, the tankers are switching to road due to the refinery at the docks downsizing. Also the lease costs that VTG were charging for the tanks. However it’s not the end as there’s going to be workings bringing the tanks in and out of the docks to be cleaned before being sent for storage. Should be Jan-feb I was told!
Luke, the HST was oringally classed has a DMU in the early seventies until the early 1980s the claas number was Class 252, 253, 254 , does that answer your question From Tom
Hi Luke I hope this gets to you in time but steam loco 61306 Mayflower has been diverted down your line and is currently at Marsden. I think the Calder Valley has flooded
Ahhh mate. Oscar-winning stuff with the 43s and the drone. Bravo. 🎉❤ Keep up the good work.
Another goodie Luke, of course you had me at the LSL 37 the drone footage is really cool and shows what a beautiful part of the Country we are lucky enough to live in, chapeau sir.
Thanks a lot mate, always happy to have a 37 in the diaries!

Cheers Chris, she looked corking eh!
Thank you Luke. Another great video. I'm always thrilled to see (and hear) a Class 37. It's good to see the InterCity carriages have an outing too.

Thanks a lot Simon 👍🏻
Really good video, lots of square wheels and I see the bouncy points have not got any better
Haha no mate, heard there may be plans to axe the loop with the upgrade so they’re likely not too fussed about sorting it.
Awesome video mate I’m gonna subscribe for a while see how it goes
Thanks a lot John, it’s much appreciated 👍🏻
snow snow we got no snow here in southampton great video luke
Glad it’s gone now mate. Cheers.
wow awesome
Cheers Jug 👍🏻
Thanks Luke.
Cheers Ste 👍🏻
Great work, as usual. I was thinking exactly the same thing before your caption about the square-wheeled 88 😂. What is it about the Vossloh/Stadler locos that make them susceptible to square wheels? 🤔
Cheers mate, not sure on the wheel flat issue, definitely must be due to the brake management systems. This time of year is murder for em.
That was indeed a really good one Luke, great variety of workings, but does any loco look and sound better than a green 37...?! Have to say the Peak did run it a close second though! Great lineside shots of it and the drone footage was suberb! Really enjoyed everything though!.
Nothing mate, can’t beat any 37 in my book! Thanks as always pal.
Peak sounded splendid Luke
Funny these multi million pound locos and leaves still flatten there wheels 🤣
Haha very true 😂
Blimey did Fred Flintstone have a go on the wheels of 88010 😬🤣
Haha he’s been busy recently 😂
Enjoyed your new video,Hope you are both well.Kind regards 🚂🚂🚂
Very well here thanks Ramon, same to you.
Another awesome video Luke, hope you’re well, the drone shots are just simply amazing may I ask what’s the name of the viaduct please ???? Take care chap 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks a lot Mark, it’s called Saddleworth Viaduct in Uppermill 👍🏻

Ah great stuff thanks for that information mate, good to get confirmation on the road switch and glad they won’t be gone just yet.
Wow, some cracking locos there, lovely to see 45118.
How square were those wheels?!
Great diaries, look forward to the next installment 😊
Thanks as always Lisa 👍🏻
I thought there steam engine coming when that 88 was being dragged along 😂
Haha I thought the same thing mate as it was in the tunnel!
Great as always fella, when are they starting to put the OHL masts up that way, seen them as at Aston area but thought it would of progressed further?
Cheers mate, I think there’s a lot of infrastructure work needed to bridges etc before they make a start on the OHLE so could be a while yet.
Fantastic drone footage Luke . Noticed 68033 had alternating headlights is this common? By the way Diggle looked beautiful in the snow
That’s just the frame rate of the camera giving that effect, just the LEDS flashing but it’s not visible to the eye
Cheers Les 👍🏻 As Nate said below it’s on the camera end that with the frame rate.

From Tom
Ha the things you know, cheers Tom 👍🏻
You can keep the Snow up there as I don't want it down here thank you
Very glad to see the back of it mate.
Hi Luke I hope this gets to you in time but steam loco 61306 Mayflower has been diverted down your line and is currently at Marsden. I think the Calder Valley has flooded
Thanks a lot mate, managed to catch it 👍🏻 saw the closure and followed it all the way from York on Traksy incase it came our way.
Just wondering what drone you use
It’s a DJI mini pro 3 mate 👍🏻
I didn't hear about the tanks ending until about a week after the last one 🙁
Gutted mate, always nice to nip over there and catch it every once in a while.
yeah it was, hopefully a new flow will replace it at some point and at least they replaced the 70 with 56s near the end
