Luke I've done lots of overnights at Goring and Streatly (near Didcot) as the lights stayed on all night plus you can see everything from the car park It was busy during the night then....
Another great video Luke thank you. You were interrupted at the end by one of the loveliest looking units of the modern fleet...great to have the Gresley chime at the end of the preview too 🙂
Thanks Luke for putting this video together from your area, I have checked where you are and I did film the last Pathfinder railtour using DRS class 37s which I think was in March 2022 in your area. In this video it was great to see that private GBRf train in lovely countryside. ATB Mike.
Thanks a lot Mike, always appreciate that when someone like yourself knows what goes into making them. I do remember that tour, time flies, that was before I even started doing this UA-cam lark.
Used to know the hives around London but not been there for over 10 years. However I have seen many recent videos and Ealing Broadway seems to top the list…Kensington Olympia is probably worth a try.
Yes I do agree with you the class 60's have a bit more grunt when it power. 66773 looked to be really struggling with th 2,500t loads. They do get thrashed on that gradient with that load. Lovely video Luke.
Watching this on my IPhone in Eastleigh. Very quiet on the Station and around the Works, let’s see what tomorrow brings. Thanks a lot for the Video Luke, Excellent as always.
Excellent as always Luke, thanks. See what you mean about the sheds and 60s struggling with the Drax trains - even the double header was working really hard. BTW, what’s the line speed limit by your place? Look forward to the next Diary and of course Tamworth. Cheers from NZ, Marty.
Fab mate, just finished the clips and just finished announcements, really good sounds from the 60s and i hope you are looking forward to yhe 52 soon! Much love drom the south pal!
Might be a lack of variety, but that was still a great watch Luke - and the 60's looked great! The autumn colours do make for nice backgrounds too! Looking forward to Tamworth!
Cheers for the suggestions Dave, York is actually one of my considerations whilst the Class 37 RHTT's are on. If I can find a day with a railtour too that would be perfect. Rugby still very good, may do that at some point, need a break from the West Coast mainline, it's too busy I don't get any rest haha.
Haha I'll have to remember that for October Part 2 mate. I figured you guys might be getting sick of seeing Drax wagons slowly creep past so hurried it along a bit in the edit.
A lot of power but not much tractive effort, struggle to put the power down without slipping or revving the bollocks off, hence why DB and FL have regeared ones they’re able to put down a lot more tractive effort but at the cost of some speed
@ it’s a little hobby of mine mate, but yes I do enjoy getting out there. I’m not working today I’ve already eyed up the class 60 from Liverpool for later haha.
Great video Luke, as always, and a fantastic Tamworth tease 😀 Looking forward to that one!
Cheers Steve, think Tamworth could be the best 24 special yet 🤞
@@DiggleJunction Just going to "tuck in" to Part 1 now 🙂

Cheers for the suggestion mate i'll do some research on that one 👍

Thanks as always Ruth :) Had to include that little preview of the A4 at the end there, too good not to!

Thanks a lot for the suggestions mate, KO has been on my radar for a while just need to see if an overnighter is possible.

Thanks a lot mate, yeah they're both crawling up there but just seems like the 60's don't have to work at 110% to keep it up.

Fingers crossed it picked up for you mate, unusual for Eastleigh to be quiet!

Cheers Marty, it’s 60mph up to the tunnel, there has been a 30 temporary limit for the heavier stuff but looks like that’s now been lifted.
Great video again Luke. Love the Drax trains struggling up the incline. Looks like Tamworth is going to be mega 👍
Cheers Geoff, don't think Tamworth will disappoint 👍
Fab mate, just finished the clips and just finished announcements, really good sounds from the 60s and i hope you are looking forward to yhe 52 soon! Much love drom the south pal!
Cheers Sam, really looking forward to that one 👍
Good too see the 60s back on the Drax Luke
Definitely mate, hopefully it lasts!
GBRF maybe should try putting a loco in the centre of the train like freightliner did on the jumbo trains out of Tunstead ,
Going American style, I like the idea! 👍
Short and sweet but well worth watching. Thanks Luke.
Thanks as always Bill 👍 Glad you enjoyed it mate
marvelous as always Luke cant wait for Tamworth
Thanks a lot mate, fingers crossed part one should be Friday
Another great video Luke, Tamworth looks a mega video, 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cheers Mark, it should be a good one. Plenty of sheds not shown in the trailer there but some really special stuff mixed in 👍
Great video luke 24 hours at Tamworth looks like the best yet from the preview looking forward to it
It might just be mate, was definitely the most tiring one yet, not a minute of rest.
Might be a lack of variety, but that was still a great watch Luke - and the 60's looked great! The autumn colours do make for nice backgrounds too! Looking forward to Tamworth!
Thanks a lot Keith, should have Tamworth out in time for weekend if I get my arse into gear haha
I used to love going to Tamworth in the early 198Os…. 86s and 87s belting through at full speed.
Excellent as always 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video Luke! Keep up the good work lad 👍
Nice one Fletch 👍
How about Westbury ?
Ha funnily enough Westbury is right at the top of my list!
Just a couple of ideas for your next 24 hours York might be a good one or when i was a train Spotter i used to love rugby but that was 50 years ago
Cheers for the suggestions Dave, York is actually one of my considerations whilst the Class 37 RHTT's are on. If I can find a day with a railtour too that would be perfect. Does that offer of a pint extend to non winners of the Giveaway? 😂😂
Haha mate if you're ever around and I'm in Diggle yeah
Bit odd at 10:19 when half the wagons turn into ghosts ! Halloween Special ?
Haha I'll have to remember that for October Part 2 mate. I figured you guys might be getting sick of seeing Drax wagons slowly creep past so hurried it along a bit in the edit.
Why do the 66's struggle so much anyone able to tell me....
A lot of power but not much tractive effort, struggle to put the power down without slipping or revving the bollocks off, hence why DB and FL have regeared ones they’re able to put down a lot more tractive effort but at the cost of some speed
Ah yes 60026 passes my town daily 🎥
Just taken a look on your channel mate, looks like you're in a really nice spot 👍
