    I created a ticketing system through my SharePoint and couldn't figure out how to let the user to see their own ticket and not everyone else's. Watched you video and didn't realize how easy it was. Thank you!

    I've seen several videos of yours so far! I would be interested in seeing how to set up the tagging at set up. So setting up column/tagging. Thank you

    So when you do this it disables alerts,
    We have managers that can only view their own items
    We are a team of approvers and want to be notified if the manager chooses a certain field.
    This only works when the list settings aren't set to "read only.." even though we can see all requests

    So I need a manger to review all items but all other users to just see their own can this be done?

      @SharePointIn60Seconds  Рік тому

      Yes. You will need to make sure managers have override list behavior permission.

    How do you do this but for items assigned to a user rather than created by the user?

    • @SharePointIn60Seconds
      @SharePointIn60Seconds  8 місяців тому +1

      You'd probably have to use a power automate flow. Careful...too may weird permissions can be an extra headache.

      Unfortunately, this is not a native feature for document libraries. However, it may be possible using Power Automate!

    Would love to see how an approval flow with multiple individuals approving. Each receiving from their team for approval at a different time. After which there is one more level of approval to be completed. Finally for me to know that all have viewed and approved. thanks

      I can give it a whirl. I might need to gather a few more requirements from. You though. Cab you give an example with names or job positions?

    great video. Question, how can you make or create icons with the status, like the large, x large, small, and it shows in green, yellow, etc.

      If you are using SP online, click the drop down on the column name in the view. From there click on Column Settings...then Format This Column. Scroll down to Conditional formatting. You will have a default rule that you need to edit. So each choice would need it's own rule. Like If size = large then highlight in blue etc etc.

      Also...I think this might be what you are after. Please let me know if this answers your question.

    How much do you work with SharePoint On Premises? I don’t know if most of what your videos are about are SPO or either?

      Thx for watching! I work almost exclusively with online. Most of the general theory should apply to both. However some of the new and improved functionality is only avail in SP Online.

    Hi Mic. i followed your instructions but the list that ive created can still be viewed and editted by the member of the site.
    please help

    • @SharePointIn60Seconds

      This means the user has elevated access to the list. You will have to investigate the permission levels of the people who say can edit another user's item. It's the "Override List Behaviors" granular permission which allows this. So the users must be site owners, or designers or something. There is also a note to this effect right next to the setting. Good luck.

    This is helpful when approval workflows are not required. Can't get approvals tasks to work even with item level permissions updated with the override behavior permission on the list item. Task just spins and won't load for approvers. I do not recommend this if you need automation with the list.
